    Testing with the rx 7900 gre will further the gap between the r5 4500 and r5 5600. Just stay away from this processor.

    Should have done your research well prior to purchasing
    It's basically a 4500G without an iGPU
    That's why the price is low
    Its productivity is good though seeing not everyone buys a CPU for 'gaming'
    So stop whining
    Cheers

    Clickbait headline.
    It may not be great performance-wise relative to current AMD processors. Still, if I think about a bad CPU, I think about something that throws out computational errors or degrades in operation over time. Or a new generation of computer chip that performs worse than the chip it is supposed to replace. This chip is most likely created to minimize defective dies that would otherwise be discarded.
    It underperforms so it may be disappointing relative to its AM4 peers, especially for gaming. But it isn't the worst AMD CPU ever.

    • @mastroitek

      Sure, but this is truly bad, and in my opinion misleading, that cpu performs like an i5 from 2015 or something

  • @JamesSmith-sw3nk
    @JamesSmith-sw3nk 3 місяці тому +1

    Good video. The R5 4500 is not for you, me and other people who want to play games. It is for someone who wants to make a media pc or a family pc to surf the net and they want to spend the least possible amount of money possible, they don't care about "bang for buck". People who's dual core pc died after 10yrs of usage and they'll reuse the video card, case and psu if possible on a new pc. A R5 4500, A320/A520 motherboard and 16gb of the cheapest ddr4 ram they can find.(I've had an acquaintance that wanted to save money so much that they wanted me to reuse their ATI Radeon X1050 on a new pc build, that's a 15yr+ old card that is pci-e 1.0 and has ddr1 vram. I gave them a gt 610 so they can watch 1080p video easily.)
    The R5 4500 is meant to be an i3 "killer" for that segment of people because it's cheaper and has more cores and threads.

    • @Dokdokhu
      @Dokdokhu 3 місяці тому

      Yeah, I3 12100f and r5 4500 were the same price here and battles neck to neck
      Having a cpu of r5 4500 won't matter much if you have gpu like rx 580 unless you plan to upgrade better gpu, though a used r5 3600 is still good but depends on price of used market (used r5 3600 is expensive here 😅)

      @@atom608 This is the correct answer. Don't be afraid of used. My first gaming PC is still around with a 4th gen xeon, 10 year old CPU and it was like $50 used. Even the motherboard it's on is that old too. Still runs like brand new.
      It's a little different for GPU's but contrary to popular believe, you SHOULD go for a card used for mining if you are buying used. Virtually all Miners underclock their cards to maximize profit and lower power consumption. The worst secondhand GPU's to buy are ones used extensively for gaming because of inept gamers who have no idea how to overclock. I know people who never check their temps.

    • @atom608
      @atom608 3 місяці тому

      @@tacticalmattress Yeah I decided to go used for my GPU that was a current gen 3060ti at the time for only $400 NZD when they were going for nearly 1k NZD just had to repaste it as it was running hot. I did get a 13400f and in hindsight should of got a used 12600k instead which is pretty much the same cpu with lower clocks. PSU and case's are cheap enough that might as well buy brand new as you can get some good value.

      GPU
      Motherboard
      Maybe ram if its modern could all be used parts to save you half the price and move you up a couple tiers of performance eg like a 3060 to maybe a 3080 if you go used for the core products
