Thanks for putting this together! It can be an intimidating game to get into, but so worth it. 🙌

I agree completely. I'm working on beginner friendly lists for each captain including a 1-5 curve to keep things simple. Also with no shared units between each list so you can learn the captains and crew at the same time. Just want to ease people in to the game.

The auto-masking is so necessary for painting. Before I discovered that feature I was completely failing to 'stay in the lines,' since the virtual brush is much harder to be precise at the edges with than a real brush that has a tip. I almost gave up on using the painting features until I found the auto-mask. Now I can't wait to unlock the glowing paints so I don't have to do so much OSL, and I'm very grateful for the metallic paints because I've never pulled off convincing NMM

I honestly really enjoy the painting so much more than real life. One of the standout features. I keep being impressed by people's paint schemes too! Glow paints are great fun to use.

So happy for this, thank you for putting this together. Game really is quite unapproachable right now for some one like myself, with plenty of xcom and fire emblem experience, but no previous warhammer or similar table top experience. I'm just getting obliterated in PvP every time, and with out any sort of single player challenges/puzzles/campaign to ease me in and teach me basic stratedgies, it really feels like there's no natural way to get better.
I feel like having some sort of build order for the Nuts and Bolts team (I assume the best beginner team) could be really helpful, like "turn 1 move captain closer/further and summon x away from enemy" "turn 2 move captain closer, take an attack if possible, and summon y near enemy" "turn 3..." and so on. I understand what your summoning, where, and if your saving can all change based on what your opponent is doing, but just having some simple flow chart to star from and adjust off of as the game starts to make more sense seems like it could go a long way, particularly in light of the random hand element being removed.
Regardless, this was still very helpful so thank you again!

My video in 2 days time is a beginners guide to one of the captains. I'm doing each with completely different lists so you can get used to them and the crews. I'll talk through a simple list with a unit to play turns 1-5 then going through a vs AI game with that list followed by a PvP game. Each one I'll be talking through why I make each decision so hopefully that will ease you in to it. Its a hard game to master but we'll worth it. Sort of like a tutorial list+.

Also I'm really glad you found it helpful. I'd love more people to be as happy with the game as I am.

I really hope Games Workshop works with this company to produce a Warhammer version of this. GW makes terrible digital games and Moonbreaker looks to have all the functionality you would need for Warhammer plus some awesome painting tools!

I really like the Moonbreaker IP but it really would line up well with GW IPs too. Maybe it could be a parallel or a sort of standalone expansion that doesn't interfere with the main game.
