Very impressed with all the tech! Scenery stunning!
Thanks Jacki. It looks like you're binge watching our videos 😃👍👍👍🚐
Yes I have been! I have also watched lots of others! I enjoyed your Brittany trip too!
Thanks 👍👍
Brilliant, so enjoy watching your trips - please keep up the great work!
Thanks Nick. Have you visited the WAW Ireland?
@@HermanHitstheRoad Not as yet, but sure plan to now!
Motorhome, drink and beautiful scenery makes for a perfect day. Glad shocker sorted
We were very lucky. The scenery got better over the course of the tour. Have you been to WAW in Ireland?
Not yet.
You should definitely put it on your "places to visit" list
So natural, warts and all, keep them coming. Makes me want to follow you.
LOL, Jim. Do you mean follow behind us on tour or follow us on YT?
@@HermanHitstheRoad On tour
Hi from NZ Loved your video, lovely scenery. I too do not like heights made me feel yuk. Hope your birthday was a lovely day Zoe.
Thanks Karynn. The scenery gets better as we drive further along. She'll always remember this birthday for the wrong reasons.
Hi you are brave man to drive on those l roads , I have seen a jag with complete suspension collapse near connemara
Brave or stupid LOL. I think our shock absorber was going anyway. The roads in Ireland tend to be uneven rather than pot-holed. Do you travel to the west of Ireland often or do you live there?
Another great video of your travels 👍.
Great to meet you both at Hermanfest this weekend. Thank you for taking the trouble to organise; much appreciated.
Happy travels, Happy Birthday to “little ‘erman”, & hope to see you on the road again soon. JM.
Thanks F70100. It was great meeting you too. We had a great weekend. Back home now and Herman is in storage.
All the very best
There were no molten rocks anywhere here. All the bending and buckling is from the end of the Carboniferous when the African plate crashed into the Eurasian plate. All the rocks were deposited in a marine environment as mud, silt and sand. I drove the ring of Beara myself last summer on a motorbike and couldn't believe the scenery was so spectacular.
Thanks for clearing that up. It is very beautiful there. We wouldn’t mind heading back there.
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY 🎁 ZOE. What a beautiful place to have spent your big 3-0. Lots of love to you both and I really enjoyed the video.😎😎😎
Thanks Kelli, Zoe liked that. (hint it wasn't 3-0 ;-) . )
Ireland is beautiful. We need to go back
The complete Herman experience today. Breakfast in the New Forest, watching Herman's latest video, with the Birthday boy parked just 20 yards in front of me. Thanks for a great weekend Adz and Zoe. Until next year ..... ?
That's so funny. Thanks Simon. I can't believe you got a phone signal.
We really enjoyed the weekend and it was great meeting you.
Great video, thanks for sharing
Thanks HitchUpAndTow. Have you been to the WAW in Ireland?
@@HermanHitstheRoad never been to Ireland, its one for the bucket list. Mark
I think the weather puts folks off. Definitely a country to visit
Great to see you visiting my country as I recognise where you are, I am usually watching you and others travelling in the UK, I have travelled with my caravan in the UK, but I intend to do allot more as I find your country is so much older than mine, it has allot more than scenery to explore. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
We loved Ireland both Northern and Republic. Want to go back there
Great vid guys, beautiful scenery 😊👍
Thanks Mark. Have you been to the WAW in Ireland?
@@HermanHitstheRoad no unfortunately but 1 of those bucket list trips waiting to go on 😊👍
Definitely a country to visit
@@HermanHitstheRoad from what I've seen your not wrong 😊👍
Glad you got fixed.
Thanks James. We were very lucky. Have you been to the WAW in Ireland?
It`s on my bucket list. @@HermanHitstheRoad
its pronounced Skib-ber- reen .I thought you had a plastic hand to start with . Great video
Thanks Des. I always mispronounce something. Glad you enjoyed the video 👍👍👍
Great video content - thanks we are doing Atlantic away next year and will be filming for our channel to so this is great
That finger is weird lol
Oh that's great GetawayGeese, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. We already want to go back.
Herman the Hymer I am guessing you may be back so how long did you take and would you do it in smaller stages - I all find myself driving to far each day instead of taking time and maybe visiting a place 2 or 3 trips
Hi we travel to Wexford twice a year from wales for the fresh fish , but we always take a 4 by4 , but some of the l roads are really bad , we have thought of bringing the motorhome but not yet , but a great country and great people
Why not take the motorhome, Derek? Is it because of the roads? You shouldn't let that put you off. With a m/h you could travel to the west side and check out the amazing scenary
belated birthday wishes Zoe !!! were was all the traffic ???? beautiful scenery.
Thanks Christine, we went in the mid season so maybe that was the reason. However, there was a lot of traffic going round Slea Head. Have you been to the WAW in Ireland?
@@HermanHitstheRoad No, I don't go anyway Ads, I do my holidays through you tube hahaha, thank god for Herman and Bob Earnshaw
We have a 2012 Ducato based van and have had to replace the rear shock absorbers already. Slight 'misting' of oil noted on one MoT and then total loss of oil on the next one. Replacement wasn't too expensive, but I had to make sure I got heavy duty units.
What annoyed us was the fact that it wasn't spotted on the MOT a month before. You're van doesn't sound right if the shocks keep going. Is it a camper or a work van?
@@HermanHitstheRoad It passed the first time it was noticed (the 'misting') and we replaced them the year after. It's a regular motorhome.
Another great video. The engine sounds in great nic ?
Thanks for commenting, @johhny711
I enjoyed your video. Excellent footage, nice comments! Sorry to see Herman's "knees" replaced, or was it the "hips"? Now you know how the expression "Made in Germany" came into being!!! Greetings from Bavaria, Germany.
Thanks Camp mal. I need to do the other knee now and I'm also considering replacing the front spring too.
Actually, Herman is based on a Fiat chassis 😉
@@HermanHitstheRoad I thought Herman was based on a Sprinter. Mine is also a Fiat 😢. There have been some repairs in 7 years, too, which should not have been necessary at all. Some obviously leave the factory ready for repairs 😤.
Loving your trip.....im going to do it November...Do you know if there are many camp sites along the route? Does that Map indicate them? Thanks
Hi Daryl, I think the map book did have campsites. I can't check right now. If you do feel like ordering it there is an Amazon link in the video description. I think Amazon allow you to view a sample of the map too. When I get back home I'll confirm the campsites
Hi Ads and Zoe love the videos, we take delivery of our first MH this week 'Ellie the Elddis' haha Question, what is your camera setup, are you using t remote? is there a drone involved?,
Thanks Iain and I hope you enjoy touring in Ellie. You must be getting excited?
There is a list of equipment in the video description or you can see the full list on our Amazon page www.amazon.co.uk/shop/hermanthehymer
It's not very often I use the Dobby drone. Our first video of WAW had some drone shots at the end but that was the only time.
I use two GoPros for the driving parts and they are linked to a GoPro remote so I can start/stop recording whenever I want. The cameras are setup to record the last 5 mins and they are always recording until we see something nice and I stop them.
I can't think of anything more annoying than a mechanical breakdown whilst on tour. The stress of wondering if you are causing more damage by continuing to drive must have wound you up. Glad the walk and views as well as Herman being mended has helped to destress you both, not to mention the wine.😉👍🖖🏴🏴🏴
Thanks Frank, you hit the nail on the head. I didn't like driving Herman. I wasn't enjoying it or the scenery. Once we had stopped we were OK stress wise. I guess because we were safe. What annoyed us was that it wasn't spotted on the MOT a month before
@@HermanHitstheRoad Unfortunately MOT's are only really valid for as long as it takes to drive off the premises. Seals on shocks can fail at any time, you were just unlucky mate, unless you can prove it was leaking before the MOT.😔
That thing on your finger looks 'hand'y
Is there a "groan" emoji?😬
