Am I the only one who feels so sad about when Chris gets hit by car? Remember how his mom died by getting hit by a car, and how he imagines that Captain Spirit’s arch nemesis is Mantroid, who he sees as the person who basically killed his mother. Now imagine how he imagines himself being hit by a car as well, it would feel as if he was defeated by his own villain who killed his mother. That is just so sad 😭😭😭!

and the sadder thing is Chris was spending all that time thinking he had powers but it was Daniel which actually disappointed me as well...

Алексе́й Никола́евич Yeah because I was shook, I watched the adventures of captain spirit play through so many times so when this episode came out I was like “oh wait, maybe Chris and Daniel will meet up and find they both have powers and be best friends and stuff” but from Daniels point of view Chris has no powers, however, There still might be a small chance that he may unlock some sort of ability other than telekinesis or whatever, maybe some ability corresponding to his own hero, captain spirit, again, just speculating things well not really but oh well
I actually prefer the ending where Chris is shocked to realize Daniel stopped the car and not him.. it’s more emotional, yet Chris doesnt get hurt/killed.

@@TheIndigoSystem Technically, this was self defense. The cop acted like he wanted to run them over, instead of just chasing them.And they stood still the entire scene, so it's not like speeding up that much was necessary or warranted.

While this ending is bad due to Chris being hurt, the fact that the cops ran a car on the Diaz brothers so fast (it could be considered attempt murder) and once again committed an act of cop violence by running over Chris when Sean and Daniel were STANDING STILL and doing nothing to even stop them, I believe to the media and possible justice, it will sound better for the boys. However, I still think 1st ending is better.

Chris mom got killed by the car. I cant even imagine whats goig on with his dad if Chris will die or hurt bcs of this car.

Chris literally jumped in front of a car to save them but either way he finds out his been betrayed it’s just heartbreaking ):
The people who laughed at this are just evil, I feel so sorry for both Chris AND Daniel, Daniel lost his ONLY friend and him knowing that he lied to him, Daniel couldn't even do anything because he had to run, Chris felt betrayed and died almost the same way his mom did. This is the most depressing and beautiful scene I have ever seen in a game. I can't stop crying I cant watch this video without sobbing 😭😭😭

I played the game not watched but ok
I like how bittersweet the third ending is. Chris is safe and for a split second he feels he helped, but you see his smile fades as he realizes Daniel moved the car and not him. Ultimately this is better for him in the long run, though.

Man, I can feel the sadness in his voice, holy snap, I got pretty sad after that.
The sheriff asking "Wait a cupboard fell on him?" is so funny amidst all of the emotional music and Sean and Daniel escaping
The most important factor in my opinion when it comes to saving Chris: you need to encourage Daniel to use his powers. Not just with the cupboard. Let him use his powers freely at most opportunities and tell him that he did the right thing by saving Chris in the beginning
Chris is honestly my favorite character, he reminds me a lot of how I was when I was younger, and watching the ending where he gets hurt is just AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA 😭
When Chris gets ran over I don’t think he actually dies tbh. It didn’t look that hard, sure it was enough to knock him back, but I think what happened is that his leg just got crushed or just hurt. He may be fine but who knows

Raph well he was leaning forward and in my opinion it was pretty obvious it was a harsh hit to the ribs, arm, leg and he maybe even injured his neck from being pushed back or landed in a bad way
at least it isnt heavy rain where you basically shield the kid by the car and he still gets killed, while somehow you take the most damage and you live.

Dang I got the 2nd ending my first playthrough and I was pretty horrified. I made sure to go back and make the better choices lol.

Generalkidd Why do you even play these games? The whole point is the choices you make have consequences, which you should continue to play through the consequences because in real life you can’t go back and choose a better option lol. Chris got Smuckered by the car in my ending and it made me feel like shit, but the safe ending sounds too retarded to get anyways so I’ll live with the consequences.

If you ask me, Jacksepticeye got the best ending (story wise). True, it wasn't the most harmless ending, but it was incredible storytelling. With complete silence, the game managed to deliver a heart-wrenching moment where Chris tried to save them with "his" magical powers, Daniel ended up having to save Chris, Chris turns around and realizes Daniel had the powers the whole time. The look his face said everything. *The makers of this game can do so much when they let the characters SHUT UP FOR A MOMENT.*
Wow, crazy how many endings there are! I can’t believe that Daniel can still lie to Chris even if Sean tells him to be honest 😂 this game is definitely way more complex and I can see how the choices in previous chapters passively affect the outcome of say, Daniel’s personality.
I got the ending where nobody got hurt, Chris was in the backyard and gave Daniel the cross armed thing. Daniel also confessed to Chris that Chris doesn’t have the powers.
I can’t wait for Episode 3!

Its bugged, you need to say to Daniel to tell chris the truth and go to your grandparents house, if Just before you enter karen's room sean say "So, did you settle things straight with Chris" He Will not get hurt, if sean doesn't say this reload to the market chapter in the menu and try again

I told Daniel that saving Chris from falling was the right thing to do, I didn't share the power with Chris and I saved Stephen with the power when the cupboard fell on him. Yet, I still never got to talk with Chris at the end and he got hit by the car (Im replaying the whole episode to get a better ending). Why did this happen? I also told Chris that he shouldn't use his power and find another way

That means even though you told Daniel to tell the truth he chose not to obey you. It’s one of the possibilities but I’m not sure what determines if he obeys you or not.
Just finished playing! I told Daniel to tell the truth and it was honestly the hardest decision in the episode. I was scared that Chris would finally stand up to his father and try to use his power against him and Daniel would step in and disaster would strike. I was worried Chris would really hold it out against him for not telling him sooner or maybe even for hurting his dad because he can't control it. I mean, I knew Chris would be upset, but it would get worse if Daniel kept lying for even longer. It's just like Sean not telling him the truth sooner about their dad. I couldn't have imagined that THIS would happen to him though, so I'm really happy he wasn't hurt at all by the car :O.
I'm still honestly upset though. Like with Lyla, it feels like Square Enix's thing is making these awesome characters, but they're just supporting roles ;__; I wish Chris really did have superpowers or we could have at least spent more time with him :(. Hopefully his dad at least cleans up his act and starts treating him better.
GabeCastro ikr I felt like something was going to go down between Daniel and Chris’s father. I felt like that would have been a more interesting scenario then what we had gotten from Chris’s appearance in this episode. It’s a shame he won’t be joining the brothers in their journey, because I still have no clue if Charles stopped drinking and being abusive towards Chris ☹️

There's more to getting the "safe" ending that you suggest. I told Daniel to be honest with Chris, "conceded," and let Daniel save Stephen... and Chris still got hit by the car.
You need to let him use his power at every opportunity. Even little hidden opportunities.
I honestly think the choices are affected even from choices from the first episode. You gotta build a good relationship with Daniel and make him trust you. So when it comes to his powers, he will listen to all the rules. But I think its vital that in the beginning of ep.2 that you tell Daniel that it's okay to use his powers in emergencies. So I guess you gotta play by the rules but be lenient when it comes to emergencies (like when Chris fell from the tree and saving Stephen).

Now that we're past one episode we have to factor in choices from more than just the ep you're playing in. It might even have been something you did or said in episode 1, tho I personally can't think of what.
@@Alexis-bs4zt what I'm thinking is it's because I lied to him about the dad's death in episode 1, letting him find out through the news. So maybe he doesn't trust us as much and doesn't actually tell Chris. But I don't even remember if we had the choice to tell him earlier on about Esteban
That sucks, I told Daniel that he was right to use his power to save Chris, and I told him to use it on the armor to save Stephen, but the rest of the time I tried to respect the rules, so I still got the second ending...

Chris, in general, makes me emotional, that poor little boy deserves happiness. Him getting hit is just ugh. His mom is already dead, and his alcoholic dad has also been through a lot. Imagine losing your wife AND your son in auto accidents. This is harsh.

To prevent Chris from getting hit you have to not steal from people and not use Daniel to help you steal or manipulate others. Also be a good influence on Daniel so he can respect Sean enough to tell Chris the truth when you ask him to tell Chris the truth

This episode is really well made! I just got the first ending. I thought it was not that good after all, no great plot twists. Then I read about the possibility of Chris getting hit by a car in the choices overview. I wondered what could trigger that, and, the point is, it completely makes sense! This is the kind of cause-effect I wanted in LiS.
I just want to know how to fully get the ending where Chris helps Sean and Daniel escape because i made sure Daniel told Chris the truth and i used the power for the wardrobe and Chris still ran out and saw that he doesn’t have the power, i made sure i was nice to Daniel as well

literally. the intensity of each scene is chilling. i literally got goosebumps when daniel saved chris from the car in my play through. the way no words were spoken and it was still so intense. the music in the back mixed with chris’ face expressions was so well done.

I think the condition the game is looking for is whether or not you overall encouraged Daniel to use his powers. I stepped forward on the cougar and used the key to get into Karen's room. On every other instance of Daniel's powers, I encouraged them, and I got that condition on the results screen.

I feel like I’m doing pretty good at guiding Daniel to using his powers and being responsible. He’s never stolen and tells the truth. Learned to only use his powers to save someone. Just happy I got the first ending

I think Chris helping the brothers is the only ending where nobody's hurt. I'm pretty sure that police is hurt after Daniel uses his power to save chris.

Still Chris got hit, neither Daniel helped nor he stopped us before and told about the "Troll Forest"
Either the choises leading to the ending are all together even the small ones

It's not bugged. It's just way more complex and is not decided by a few multiple choice questions.
I don't get the first ending, had the second. But I can imagine the game counts how often Daniel is overall allowed to use his power (repair the ship, prank that guy, break the door, let dishes fly, save Stephen, etc).
I didn't let him do everything (only the good ones) and he saved Chris.
So I think there are too many factors and counters to reduce it to a few rules.

To get the good ending on the 2nd episode you have to treat Daniel well in the 1st as they are all linked.
KEY:
1. Confront the bully.
2. Teach Daniel to skip stones and don’t tell him scary things in the forest, treat him well, help him over the tree, ect. Do not steal in the forest car park.
3. Do not get him to beg or distract Doris at the gas station, do not steal or beg at the gas station. DO NOT KICK THE STORE OWNER AND STEAL THE TENT!
4. Promise you won’t lie to him again.
5. Throw the snowball next to him not at him. 5.5 Stop him from killing the cougar.
6. Call him out on cheating playing pirates.
7. Encourage him to use his powers. Don’t knock him for using them.
8. Tell him to stop swearing
9. Be careful about telling him there is a heaven or not and then praying or not praying with grandmother as that becomes a lie.
10. Concede he did the right thing saving Chris.
11. Tell Daniel to tell Chris the truth.
12. Let Daniel use his power to save grandad.
OTHER: If you promise something do it. Like buy him a choco-crisp at the gas station. Get him to fix things around the grandparents house using his powers. Just don’t be an ass hole, like splashing him and shit.
Doing these things keeps both the characters morally positive, makes Daniel’s and Sean’s relationship strong and encourages Daniel to use his power the right way at the right time and I theorise will make him stronger as practice makes perfect.
I am sure in the future there will be a time Daniel will need to act out on his own and depending on the choices that have been made he will either kill a bunch of people or save them.
What I love about the good ending is that Daniel does not lament that he has powers but that he does not want to be a superhero because he is worried about making the right decision when to use his powers. He is not scared of his powers anymore. That is him levelling up. SuperWolf still has a long way to go though and needs more training but we know he can now move cars with his power.

Did you steal or convince Daniel to distract the gas station clerk so you could steal? I think if you lie alot in ep1, it affects Daniel in ep2.

First things first, do not steal anything, and I mean ANYTHING in Episode 1, whether it is the Chock-O-Crisp in the parking lot near the trail or the food in the gas station, and do not knock out Hank Stamper after you escape the office, because knocking out Hank and stealing the camping gear would convince Daniel that its OK to engage in violence and break the law, making him much less likely to actually tell the truth to Chris when you order him to do so.
In Episode 2, you must tell him that he can use his powers as a last resort, call him out for cheating when you get the prompt during the pirate board game, prevent him from killing the cougar, tell Daniel to repair the broken ship in the bottle, lift up the rock in the aquarium and re-align the misaligned portrait in the Reynolds' household, concede to Daniel when he uses his power to save Chris from falling to his death, and finally, order Daniel to tell the truth to Chris when you arrive at the Christmas market. After this, feel free to prank Nick after he yells at Finn and Cassidy, as that won't affect Daniel's odds of being honest with Chris.
If you did everything right, then when you arrive at the Reynolds' home after getting a gift for Daniel at the Christmas market, Daniel will mention that Chris got very upset and disappointed when he told him the truth, indicating that he did indeed obey you when you told him to be honest with Chris, and Chris will be sitting on the swing near the treehouse, waiting for Sean and Daniel at the very end when you are forced to flee the house after the police track you down, allowing you to get the best possible ending for Episode 2. I got the, "Chris gets hurt" ending but I don't know why. I was nice to Daniel, told Daniel he did the right thing by saving Chris from falling, gained Chris's trust, and told Daniel to tell Chris the truth but still got that ending. I'm confused
Update: I played the episode again but was stricter with Daniel thinking that that would make him listen to me when I tell him to tell Chris the truth
but I still got the same ending.

I think you actually need to encourage him to use his powers a lot, Which I think is dumb, I was strict with him but tolerant when it meant saving a life, basically only use your powers for good, yet he let Chris get hurt.

Unlike the first game, I think multiple choices from multiple episodes reflect on your outcome here. I did all the right things besides telling chris the truth and daniel didn't use his power to save chris from the cop car

Fortunately it's possible to encourage him to use his powers (leading to him saving Chris) without killing the cougar. But you do need to prank Nick if you don't kill the cougar. You also need to get him to use his powers in minor places as much as possible.
Getting him to be honest maybe easier depending on what you did in Ep1.
Encourage his powers, then he will save Chris.

So happy I got the first one in my first ever playthrough. ☺. I'm did a great job influence Daniel to tell Chris the truth and it work. When I finish. I didn't notice Chris can die or daniel never tell him the truth. I'm happy with mu result. I'm a great brother in episode 2.

So much relief checking that I made all safe choices where no one dies. D: SO STRESSFUL.
I got the last ending. I don’t understand what I did to prevent me from getting the happiest one. I didn’t rob the convenience store, I spared the cougar, I encouraged Daniel to use his powers and I was really nice to him, I got Chris’s dad to open up to me, I saved Stephen with Daniel’s powers...not sure what else I was supposed to do
I must have messed up somewhere in my game because I told Daniel to be honest with Chris, and I had him help Stephen, I also got Chris to open up about his dad. Yet I still got the ending where Daniel saves Chris from the car instead of Chris helping Sean and Daniel escape 😭
