as a person with autism, this is NOT how you handle a child with autism at all, that poor boy, this is abuse in my book. the mom may not all know anything about ASD or ADHD, but that does not excuse her actions or her behavior because not only is she made both possible physical and mental trauma to that child, BUT SHE HAD THE DAMN NERVE TO BODY SLAM THAT CHILD, CUSSING & YELLING AT HIM, AND BLAMING HIM by ''has a habit for making everything worse", plus that child was running away from her because HE WAS SCARED, screaming for help and confused, glad that family came in to confront that ''mother'' and comfort the boy, that is not a parent, that is a child's monster, I swear this is one of the many reasons that every child in the world deserves a parent, BUT not all the parents in the world deserve a child.

I think what hurts especially is how when the women in red went to go comfort the kid he didn't hesitate to accept it. Kid was so scared of his own mother he was willing to be hugged by strangers just to feel safe. I really hope he's doing okay now.

It's even more heartbreaking that often autistic people, myself included, are very uncomfortable with physical interactions such as hugs. He was potentially more scared of his mother and feeling the need for comfort than his condition made him hate the contact.

Bro, you can tell the kid is scared of his own mom. Her entire story of him "throwing a tantrum" is absolute bullshit. I've seen multiple parents with ADHD/Autistic kids that treat them like shit cuz they don't have the patience or kindness to deal with it. I'm happy multiple people came in and stopped her.

I feel so bad for kids with autism or really any disorder bc I see them treated so unfairly all the time. That or they got that "gentle parenting" approach that isn't actually parenting at all and the child behaves however they want and their parents just say "they can't help it, they have autism" and don't even try correcting them. I wasn't diagnosed with anything but my mom swore I had ADHD because I just absolutely couldn't focus in class, but she didn't want to take me to a professional and get me diagnosed, saying "there's nothing wrong with my baby!" I got in trouble a lot in elementary school bc I talked a lot and my grades were pretty bad because I for some reason couldn't understand the lesson plans. My desk was moved to the corner of the class one In kindergarten so I would stop talking to other students, and then I just ended up talking to myself out loud instead. (I still do that frequently) And in first or second grade, a different teacher put me in a big wooden box and then duck taped the sides bc I would peek through the gaps to keep talking. I found out recently that kids with ADHD have been locked in closets at school for talking too much, so it's not just a me thing. Idk if I even have ADHD or autism or anything like that, but the way people treat "difficult" children is so inhuman to me. It makes me wonder why certain people even choose to work with children.

@@pixlbunni I was still in regular classes. But I had teacher AIDS and had to go through Physical therapy and occupational therapy because I didn't know how to do some of the stuff that a normal person would. My brain is like a child. I sometimes don't understand stuff or get when people are joking or being sarcastic (you could imagine how many misunderstandings there were) but that doesn't mean that I can't joke around either. I don't know I can't explain it and I'm sorry you and those kids with ADHD had to go through that(no one should) that's why I hate mental asylums from the past. They treated them like they were trash instead of actually helping them(wow this is a long reply)

I'm glad someone pointed this out. I grew up basically in the same situation but I didn't get any help. The biggest scare tactic used is using police as a threat or being put up for adoption as a threat. It makes the kids dependency on the mom greater, needing her even if she abuses them. That women in the red dress is just amazing I don’t have words
When she pick him up it was like he was her own child, he’s not super small and she is pretty small and usually around his age is when kids stop being picked up often and by someone they just met is super rare.
It some situations it may seem creepy but this was so heart warming, mothers will always pick they’re kids up till they can no longer lift them, my grandma even though I’m 23 she still tries to pick me up like a toddler and i always have to remind her I’m an adult and she makes the excuse of how big dogs act like lap dogs and this wasn’t any different 😂
So when she picked up up it felt so motherly, so sweet and gentle, and she did it so easily when she seems so small, it looked so natural and warm.
Then when she went looking for him and told him he’s okay and comforted him. Her man is so lucky and I bet she’s a really good mother.

The craziest thing is how quickly he trusted that couple. He might've not like followed them or anything but the fact he had stood with them and didn't run back to his mum during the time in the shop when he was waiting with those 2 is exactly the reason she needs to go to jail because even in the situation where she was angry and mad, they were calm and kind to him. But he didnt yell out, scream for his mum, which means that he knows she is not in her right mind, if this is the first time she actually put her hands on him, he would've stepped up to defend her in some way, but he knew that the only safe way for him was to stay with the couple. The kid is attached to her because he is adhd and on the spectrum, so she definitely might've been an average normal mother to him, some of the time but that doesn't mean everytime. she deserves jail and that is the bare minimum of what she needs to serve for abvsing and assaulting everyone in that QT, i hope the little boy is doing well and better now

I have ADHD, autism and a lot of other mental problems and my mom had to deal with me growing up. So I sent her this video and jokingly asked her if she had the chance would she do this to discipline me. (Keep in mind that she barely disciplined us physically when me and my siblings were young) And she replied with a paragraph explaining why the mom in the video sucks and why she loves me and would never do that to me or any other child. I’m crying.

43:36 The sentences being suspended means that she still gets these prison sentences, but she doesn’t go to jail immediately.
This means that she is free as long as she meets specific conditions during a set period (often called a suspension period). So this child abuser has to follow specific rules such as either doing community service or avoid doing any new criminal activity. If she were to violate these rules, *then* she gets to serve those four years.
In essence: Suspended Sentences are pretty much giving people second chances as long as they follow the rules

the way that my jaw dropped and eyes filled with tears at the fottage... a loss for words she isnt a "mother" she is a birther... she doesnt care at all about his well being... as a mother of a 6 year old boy with adhd who can be hard to deal with, yelling screaming and physical punishments dont improve bad behavior. it worsens it....
not to mention 90% of the times children act out is for attention...

For anyone who is wondering, a suspended sentence means that she does not have to go to jail if she abides by all of the terms of her probation. This means that she’s pretty much free with supervision and will be completely feee in four years. Basically, she got away with assault and child abuse.

I have autism, and there are certain things that I do which my parents don't like, and I end up getting disciplined for them. I can't really blame them because I was diagnosed with autism at the age of 13, and I'm 14 now. It feels like they only acknowledge my autism when it's convenient for them. My father doesn't believe in mental health, psychiatrists, therapists, and such. My mother, on the other hand, believes in it, but only when others are around. I feel like she uses my autism for attention. If anyone has any tips or tricks that could help me with my autism, I would be really grateful. I don't know what to do. I hate having autism and wish to be normal like everyone else, but I know I can't be normal because I'm different. I want to smile genuinely, not just to fit in. If anyone has information about autism that can help me, I would be very happy.

Since you’re 14 I’m guessing you’re in high school. If you have anyone like a counselor or social worker at school that you really trust and feel safe with then definitely look to them for the support that your parents are not seeming to give you. And Also don’t feel bad about your struggles I and many others haven’t gotten diagnosed until we were adults and the way you describe your parents still doesn’t sound good. I’m just a 19 year old trying to get her life together so I really don’t know what more advice I can give but given that you’re growing now you can better advocate for yourself without your parents. You just need to find the right people to support you in that journey. Good luck with all of that no matter what happens man. 💙

You are a normal kid, whether you have autism or not. Don’t listen to whatever your parents or others have to say when it comes to being negative about these topics. It’s not the same but I was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 8 (20 now) and I felt the same, about not being “normal,” though I have come to learn over the years that I’m perfectly fine the way I am, and I can actually help people with the knowledge I have. With that being said, I and a ton of others promise you this: you have nothing to be ashamed of when it comes to having autism, or anything else. When you start feeling like you’re anxious, focus on something you enjoy doing. Music? Rad! Listen to it. Art? Create! Video games? Even better. And maybe you can see if anybody you know has fidget toys lying around. They’re great distractions. I always carry around an infinity cube in case I start getting anxious and it’s helped me.
Keep your head held high; you’ve got this and you’re doing great!

I have autism and adhd, was lucky enough to be diagnosed at the young age of 6 (im 19 now) but had the almost exact same experience, dad not accepting it because he doesn’t believe in that type of stuff and my mother only ever taking it into consideration when it benefits her in some way, my best advice is to do research on autism and any other neurodivergence you think you might have, learn to understand yourself more first and try and find some people kind enough not to care how different you are and still want to be friends with you, find some people with the same sorta interests and similar humour styles and anything like that and build yourself a support system with your friends. I have folders about autism and adhd on instagram and tiktok so that if i come across any people talking about their experiences with either diagnosis and i relate then i can save it to understand myself better and so i can show other people to help them better understand me so i think it would be a great idea for you to do the same, i got really lucky with some of the friends i’ve made over the years practically a second family now, so just dont hate yourself, dont be too hard on yourself do research and begin to understand yourself, once you begin to understand yourself you might even be able to help your family understand you better and hopefully it’ll make the relationships with them better but focus on yourself first and yeah dont be afraid to indulge in your favourite hobbies or special interests, listen to music whenever you want or need it, play games i know they help me, same with tv shows and movies if they can help take your mind off things then watch them, get some fidget stuff aswell because they’ll help during any overstimulation or sensory overloads and stuff like that. I hope this helps and I honestly hope the best for you

The first video with Brendin is sick. That is not a way to treat a child especially an autistic child. I'm Autistic so I understand what he might be like and it can be frustrating dealing with the outbursts and screaming and yelling (I've had my fair share of those and I was disciplined for it). That Mom has to learn how to treat her child better.
