This is more understandable and practical then saying or explaining how to adjusting the levitation and horizontal and how many clicks are needed to zeroed the sight,thou it may be tactically important,its more understandable and easy
I believe that might be at 7 yards or something like that when you’re holding on the bottom of the circle to compensate for height over bore but I’m not positive on how far he was himself
how would the dot of the bore sight be moving and not the reticle? wouldn’t the dot stay in one place and the reticle is the one that moves? i’m so confused
To account for the mechanical offset at close range. At 7 yards to get poa/poi aim use the bottom of the reticle. Ex: you need to take a head shot in a short hallway. Don't use the center dot you'll hit low. Use the bottom hash mark. You'll also be in the ballpark for a 50/200 zero
I believe on their website, they say 21 feet/7 yards. The middle dot in the reticle would be zeroed for 50/200 yards, and the 6 o’clock hash would be 7 yards, for a 14.5 inch AR shooting 556. Check your POI at the range whenever you go.
Just zero it for whatever you want. I like the 36yd zero. Vigilance Elite has 25yd distance(all indoor ranges) POA/POI targets mathed out for ya for free download.
@@05EVORS I agree with you, but for me, the best is 50 yd for their holographic. It’s what their reticle is designed for. I prefer the 2 dot, the lower dot is like a tweener from 7 to 25 yards, and 6 o’clock is perfect for very close contact. But however he zeroes, it should be consistent across all platforms if running multiple guns and/or uppers
When we zero in at the 6:00 mark at 7 paces this makes center dot on target at 50 meters. After this is done we aim at objects at 7 paces from 6:00 mark and objects at 50 meters center dot. This is all due to the fact that the center of barrel and center of eotech will have to intersect at some point; in this example the intersection is at 50 meters.
@@Sam9wilson9 Boresighting is not zeroing. The bore laser is showing where the bore is pointing to. The reddot is showing where the reddot is. There's something called an offset where the bore is not aligned to the reddot. So you want to maintain the offset at 7 paces so it is bore sighted (again not "zeroed"). You still need to take it to the range to confirm but it will not need much adjustment to zero.
@@hex4461 the barrel is angled up so therefore at the bullet crosses the red dot at 2 distances. 50m/200m. At 100 meters it will be a Lil over an inch high.
Using a mandrel boresight is by far the worst option it droops and 90% of the time once u go to sight it in ur not even on paper use a lazer that is inside a casing so it actually is under the optic n perfectly straight

I used one similar to this laser on my new exps2 and it was just like this the dot is what moves not the reticle.

The dot is actually staying in place, it's due to the movement of the reticle being so subtle that it just looks like that.
The dot of the bore sight is *perceived* to be moving because the adjustments on the EOTech are not moving the point of aim, but the point of impact.

At 7 yards where he set the sight it should be approximately a 100 yard zero
Why such a short distance? Shouldn't we be utilizing a further distance or is negligible because you're using a laser?
Because of bullet drop, lasers move in an infinite line forward and bullets curve up then down

Youre using shit equipment then. My army unit used these to sight every weapon, every weapon was dead on after 15 seconds of zeroing.
