Love how Evan ALWAYS has to specify that the Scary Map isn't really scary in the titles of his Scary Map Videos.
A lot of his fans are probably younger viewers.
Probably doing it partly as a joke and partly as a way to tell the younger viewers that doesn't know if they can watch it or not that it isn't anything too bad.

In defence of the maps, I don't think they've gotten less scary. We (the audience and the guys) have just gotten used to it. After a while, I even watched Vanoss's first ever scary map video and found that it used the exact same scare tactics as the current maps.
