My highlight of this last year has been discovering your UA-cam channel.... haha creep creep couldn't resist that. Seriously, if there was one thing I was proud of in my plant collection this last year, it's been installing some good grow lights and finally being able to keep plants in my very dark lounge for the first year ever, after living here years. It's always been a challenge but some careful selection and investment in decent lighting has transformed my living space into a menace of a jungle ! Hooray - it can be done after all. Happy Christmas 🎄
Haha it had to be done 🙈 That is good to hear about the grow lights making a difference to the plants and being able to have them in a usually darker room. Sounds like a lot of plants too! Similar to my living room - North facing, so gets limited daylight first thing then quite dull! I've just invested in some grow lights so hopefully will be able to have some more plants in there. And you too - have a great Christmas and New Year 🎁
Thank you for sharing your "plant journey", it's always interesting to hear peoples stories and get to know a little about those people that we follow, on UA-cam or elswhere. As for me, I have always loved house plants, and plants and nature in general, but for years i lived in a house with no room for more than a few houseplants. Then about 2 years ago, i got a big living room with large windows and thats when i started collecting. Now i got about 300 plants and i love every one of them. I dont really care if a plant is rare or not, as long as it is pretty to look at. I have never sold a plant, but people can not visit me, without getting a "homemade" plant or two, to go home with them. I mean, surely i take cuttings, but i dont need a bunch of the same plant, so i use them a gifts. Wish you and all your wievers a merry christmas! 🤶
Thanks for sharing! Your plant journey sounds a little similar to mine. Sounds like a great space for plants now, and lots of plants! Also, good idea with gifting the props, hopefully getting more people interested in plants. Have a great Christmas and Happy New Year 🎄
I'm a new subscriber from Pennsylvania. I have several plant highlights this year. I successfully started 20 Schlumbergera Truncata cuttings. I also have a half dozen Dracaena Sansevieria cuttings going as well. And I was just given a grape vine wreath with a few Tillandsia air plants attached to it. My first experience with air plants. So overall its been a good year plant wise! Thanks for the videos. Cheers!
Thanks for watching and subscribing. What fantastic highlights - lot's of successful propagations! That's interesting to have air plants on a wreath, I've not seen that before. I hope you're enjoying looking after them - a bit different from standard houseplants. Hopefully there will be lots more highlights for 2024! 😊🌱
My highlight has been adding to my collection with baby plants, why have I not done this before now?! I love watching them grow (although slowly) and it's been so much cheaper 🙈 also will always love lifting the lid of a good prop box... X
Hi Katie, thanks for sharing, that's a great highlight! Yes baby plants are the way forward, very satisfying to see them grow into more established plants. I need to set up a prop box (once the growing season starts again). 💚
A highlight for me this year was a small road trip i took with my spouse and some friends... we traveled for an event that was canceled, but still had a great time anyway! Thank you for sharing, always love your videos.
What a great highlight! Thanks for sharing. It's a shame the event was cancelled, but good that didn't stop you having a great time anyway and I'm sure happy memories 😊 (and thank you for the kind words!)
A fellow UK-er 😊 That is a good achievements, it took me a while to figure Alocasias out. I've found, at least in my home, almost neglect seems to be the best care lol. Water when I remember, leave them be, and *touchwood* they stay alive. If I pay them more attention they don't like it 😅 Hope yours keep doing well!
My highlight(s) of 2023 were the many times I was able to save my Monstera Thai Constellation from dying of root rot. Also my Sunday video fix from this channel. 😊
That is a great highlight - glad you were able to sport the root rot in time and save your TC 😊 and thank you. It is my new year's resolution to be better with my video timing! 🙈

Greetings from UK
