Essendo di Sanremo il rally lo seguivo solo qui,le prove sulla terra erano in toscana ed io non ci andavo,comunque c'era una bella atmosfera e spettacolo specialmente la notte,un casino di gente in montagna che grigliava,beveva,cantava aspettando il momento.
totally agree with georgegleek there..... Why can't there be 3 classes in WRC ??? 4-wheel drive,one for front wheel and one for rearwheel...it can't be that hard for FIA to fix..:) and skip the damn turbos to.

I'd like to have seen the pantera ... on the gravel part of the San Remo ! Strange idea .. but why not, Porsche, Ferrari , Triumph, so why not DeTomaso ..
@georgegleek Nowadays cars are maybe easier to drive in general, but I don't think they are any easier to drive on the limit, to explore that last tenth of their capabilities. These 80s cars were moving around all the time and driver could sense the traction levels more clearly. Modern rally car on modern rubber just grips and grips, but when it finally runs out of adhesion, it happens much more quickly and in much greater speed.

I love seeing the front end buckle down under heavy braking right before re-applying the throttle. So intense.

awesome I didn't know they were running Ritmos way back then. it looked very futuristic compared to all the other cars

The 2 Fiat 131 Abarth drivers are the only ones who don't use the brakes on that first stage to slow for that tricky right hander
