The height it goes to in optimal depends on how far the drone is away from you. if you told it to return in 150ft or less distance from you, it will stay lower.
I think you got confused the optimal and preset return home . The optimal is to fine the best path to it own return home. The preset mean that you preset your own return home attitude. 👌
Hi mate, I would be a bit concerned about the “optimal” setting. How do we know if the little bugger is going to fly into a power line or dead branches that it can’t see. Think I will just stick to the preset mode to be on the safe side.
@@waynegreene6405 thanks for commenting yes I agree but I mostly preset because of that reason and I don’t have to worry about those branches or power lines.

Yeah thats what I saw I just thought it would come back at a lower altitude when it was in optimal since nothing was in front of it.
