I took Howard street (headed east) instead of EC blvd. the other day and it was not too bad, if the schools were getting out then it would have been a nightmare.

Howard is okay, but if I have the choice heading East, I take ECB or Meade. But this footage is way east, at the border of La Mesa and San Diego, where the only alternative to ECB is down on University, but those are pretty far apart depending on where you're going.

Hey man, I take ECB twice a week both ways. It’s unsafe for us we need to petition for a bike lane!!

I used to take it from 35th to 70th and back, but it's just too much. I opt for Montezuma and Fairmount. Are they great? Hell no, but these the options the city gives me.

Amazing how it still looks like 1968 there. The empty lot should have a commemorative plaque for containing the descendants of ancient indigenous plant life that has remained undisturbed, (despite human intervention), in excess of 50 years. The traffic was jammed on a reliable daily time schedule, has that remained, along with the buildings? Stay A Lert! The country needs more lerts!

The is a pretty quiet section of ECB, and I think you're right: it hasn't changed much. I'm not sure about the timeline of what freeways and expressways were built when, but this is usually a low-traffic, high speed area. Thanks for watching!
