Really appreciate how 'fast' the scene is changing.. even headphones are now becoming good in the budget realm.. over all, it now opens the hobby in terms of accesibility.
Looked at linsoul and saw that there’s a shit ton of Kiwiears headphones coming soon. The one that interested me was the 50mm DD 14.5mm planar hybrid Cans
It is also read in the news that Kiwi Ears has another headphones not yet named but that costs approximately $400. So the ones that is listed via linsoul is not the full list. Questions remain.
Watching your vids is never a waste of my time. The info you provide saves me a lot of time and money. It saves a lot of time because I know and understand what you mean with how gear is replaying a specific sound. I don't have to watch several reviewers to get a picture of the sound. Being honest and upfront about that you like the company and want to support them is one of the reasons that you have earned my trust. Think the Division is more for me than this set but am eagerly waiting what Kiwi Ears has in store for us. Thanks for the vid abd review. As always appreciate it.
Yes! I have been checking every day since the unboxing! The build quality of these units that Kiwi Ears are producing are really impressive at the price point. There are some good deals on Linsoul right now too. Side note: I am really intrigued by the other 3 models they introduced that I dropped the link for on the Facebook group.
Got the Division recently, and I agree with your description of sound here. I've never really had a good sounding closed back before. It's a nice form factor to have to compliment IEMs.
Another one, nice to see these budget entries, especially when they are well executed, and sound decent! Good on you for the well done explanation about EQ
Many years ago, I bought a cheap JVC HAMR 60 X and love that set so much, it had 50mm drivers and I could feel the bass rumble yet it was commendable clear still.
I think I mentioned in the unboxing, but this set looks like it was made for jazz/fusion/instrumentals. For an open back, I think it’s a good deal. Take care HBB!
I recently ordered the Division, because having some cheap but good headphones are nice on occasion, I guess I'll mainly stick to those. But I do also appreciate the open backs, giving your ears some fresh air :P Nice review
Honestly for the price, it's flaws are passable. I've been waiting for years at this point for a decent budget open back for under 100 bucks. Absolute win of a set, really hoping other brands tag along
For me, who plays music, it seems that the most suitable is the Division, but what I'm most curious about is the Atheia Model, its a Dynamic + Planar Magnetic Dual Driver!! And they look dope with wood caps 👌🏼
Kiwi Ears makes such great IEMs, so I'm happy they are moving into headphones, too. Hopefully, with some practice, they end up making a real banger of a headphone soon.
Budget headphones ftw! I was gonna choose the Ellipse over the Division, but I'm thinking otherwise after watching your review. Thanks as always for your inputs! They're releasing a few more headphones like the Atheia, their planar ver and some bluetooth ones as well.
its cool that kiwi ears is starting out at the budget level with headphones, i wanna see what they can do at a more mid fi level and hifi level with headphones
Good to know that iem maker company like kiwiears and sivga is making headphones. Hope they can bring something interesting to compete with the headphones maker company that already exists
Kiwi Ears is also releasing one more over-ear headphone - three in total so far. And from what I've seen they're all affordable. I'd probably go for the Division as its tuning is more to my liking.
Budget headphones is something I didn't think we'd see for a few more years. Well, GOOD budget headphones. Think I might pull the trigger on the other set.
I may buy this set, but I'm definitely going to buy the Division. I'm not the biggest fan of the pads on either, so I will probably pad roll. I wish you would give recos for pads for both of these sets, but that's just my personal opinion. Fantastic review, and I look forward to more! 💯
Kiwi Ears had a bunch of new gear gear posted. In addition to the Division and Ellipse, the Attiva open ear TWS, plus they have Aventis, Atheia, and Ardor headphones on the way. Sort of curious to see the variety of tunings.
I would get them just to keep the collection going but sounds like I would probably use them for podcasts and videos...definitely going to get Zeos's set this week...
we need more affordable good headphones!! close back or open back i tried the Moondrop Joker and the Fiio JT1 and they're awful to my ears hopefully this and the Division will be start of something better in the future
This looks like it might be less my speed than the other set. I think I'm in the same boat as you for my preferences here. As you said though, different strokes for different folks.
Western mainstream headphone companies are gonna get stressed out when you can get better stuff from China for far less money. I give it two years max until the top options will mostly be from there.
Not yet avilable in my currently but its in list of upcoming products on store website .. and i keep eye on it as fiio jt1 is only option under 50$ for right now
I still get beyerdynamic vibes from these. I wonder do these 2 sets (Division & Ellipse) compliment each other rather than one being better than the other?
Interesting how Kiwi Ears released both closed back and open back right away, instead of concentrating on developing just one. I guess they want to position themselves as the budget Beyerdynamic.
I'd like to get a set of open-back HPs as the kast time I heard one is ~15 years ago and it was my one and only experience with open-backs. But these don't look that good, I'm afraid. I know they're incredibly cheap by the standards of the hobby, but... 🤷🏻♂️ Maybe I'd scrape up some more and go for FiiO FT1 Pro, but there was a report of a pretty bad channels mismatch... I think I'll rather settle for good old closed back in-ears as the most versatile solution. Thank you for the video and everything else! 🙏🏻
If I invest in a set of headphones , they will have to be great for movies and music. I primarily listen to music while working around the house and for my use case IEMs make the most sense. I think however, that headphones would probably be the best for movies.

This is first i have heard of those. My comment section is my info gathering spot. Thanks
It is also read in the news that Kiwi Ears has another headphones not yet named but that costs approximately $400. So the ones that is listed via linsoul is not the full list. Questions remain.

Good to see our beloved ChiFi companies delving into Headphones, TWS, and DSP!
Yup, expand that market!
Great review. For me I think the Division would fit more but it's great that Kiwiears are coming out with different tuning headphones!
Watching your vids is never a waste of my time. The info you provide saves me a lot of time and money.

Thanks for the vid abd review. As always appreciate it.
Thanks for the rec on the division. Love the expansion of the coverage of the hobby. Long live FunFi!
The internal components verification check in your list is awesome. Thank you for your hard work. Thieaudio is my favourite IEM brand now
Joyce handed a pair of these to me at CanJam on Sunday. I was astounded by the sound quality for the price!
Thanks again, Christopher!
Another to possibly add to the list, like that you actually pointed out some "negatives", so many don't!

These just might be my first ever pair of open backs - thanks for the review!
Got the Division recently, and I agree with your description of sound here. I've never really had a good sounding closed back before. It's a nice form factor to have to compliment IEMs.
hard for me to get back to headphones. but now that it is so cold out maybe i need to revisit. glad to hear your reccs on headphones, too!
Loved the rant and the build/design of this pair of KE
I think I mentioned in the unboxing, but this set looks like it was made for jazz/fusion/instrumentals. For an open back, I think it’s a good deal.
Take care HBB!
Happy Wednesday Mate! Great set, awesome price!
I recently ordered the Division, because having some cheap but good headphones are nice on occasion, I guess I'll mainly stick to those. But I do also appreciate the open backs, giving your ears some fresh air :P Nice review
Im just glad to see some budget level headphones worth getting coming out.
Honestly for the price, it's flaws are passable. I've been waiting for years at this point for a decent budget open back for under 100 bucks. Absolute win of a set, really hoping other brands tag along
thank you for the review!
Glad to see kiwi realising some budget headphones
Nice review as always thanks Chris!
For me, who plays music, it seems that the most suitable is the Division, but what I'm most curious about is the Atheia Model, its a Dynamic + Planar Magnetic Dual Driver!! And they look dope with wood caps 👌🏼
Good to see them dabbling in headphones market
agree
Excellent.I bought the Division ,I am getting this.
Kiwi Ears makes such great IEMs, so I'm happy they are moving into headphones, too. Hopefully, with some practice, they end up making a real banger of a headphone soon.
Thanks for your take!! Kiwi does it again!! Surprise again!
Had the Division on my list too. Nice to see this as a step up.
Kiwi ears really took a great approach with this new headphones 🔥🔥 really congrats to them
I prefer the Ellipse to the Division. That’s what makes this hobby fun! Thanks for another thoughtful review
Budget headphones ftw!
I was gonna choose the Ellipse over the Division, but I'm thinking otherwise after watching your review.
Thanks as always for your inputs!
They're releasing a few more headphones like the Atheia, their planar ver and some bluetooth ones as well.
dope looking set would love to see some more headphone reviews on the chanel
its cool that kiwi ears is starting out at the budget level with headphones, i wanna see what they can do at a more mid fi level and hifi level with headphones
Not to bad❗️
A very good alternative to IENs.
Thanks for the video.
Nice to see kiwiears of to a good start in the headphone space.
I'm glad they are coming in with well built well priced stuff.
Good to see ChiFi delving into headphones. Not sure if i'd be a fan of either this or the division, but for the price, probably can't go too wrong.
Happy Wednesday! Not many decent headphones under 100$. Glad to see that chifi is improving this niche of extra budget overears.
Im liking how big the pads look, i have a hard time finding headphones that doesnt get tiring on my ears so fast. It looks promising
Making sure there's audio today!
I am on fire... video 2187 and I'm kinda getting to know this stuff
Thanks for doing more headphones! Thanks - I Will try this set. Have a great day man☺
Looks like a very interesting set of headphones. Thanks for the giveaway!
Thanks for the review mate
i ordered kiwi ears division after watching your review video of it, im excited to try it.
Great review, trying to decide which one to get
Not my bag. However, are you going to do a review of the set with wooden cups?
Good to know that iem maker company like kiwiears and sivga is making headphones. Hope they can bring something interesting to compete with the headphones maker company that already exists
Notif gang!
Love that Chi-fi is trying to move into the headphone space. Nothing like a good shake up.
Kiwi ears is kicking it up a notch. Going after the budget market. If it sounds good it's a win.
Kiwi Ears is also releasing one more over-ear headphone - three in total so far. And from what I've seen they're all affordable. I'd probably go for the Division as its tuning is more to my liking.
Might have to check out the Division set. Hope you and the family are doing well.
Thanks bro. Same to you
Thanx!
Looking forward to the competition in the headphone market.
Budget headphones is something I didn't think we'd see for a few more years. Well, GOOD budget headphones. Think I might pull the trigger on the other set.
these go pretty hard tbh
Thanks for the EQ tip.
These headphones seem interesting, but don't really know what to think about them, seeing the tuning.
I may buy this set, but I'm definitely going to buy the Division. I'm not the biggest fan of the pads on either, so I will probably pad roll. I wish you would give recos for pads for both of these sets, but that's just my personal opinion. Fantastic review, and I look forward to more! 💯
Hope you feel better soon kai 🙏
gonna wait your reviews for the next kiwiears headphones before deciding
That logo looks like it comes with headphones
Kiwi Ears had a bunch of new gear gear posted. In addition to the Division and Ellipse, the Attiva open ear TWS, plus they have Aventis, Atheia, and Ardor headphones on the way. Sort of curious to see the variety of tunings.
I'm waiting to see the upcoming one with DD + Planar in Linsoul. Looks cool by design, it'll make a shake if they set budget price
I would get them just to keep the collection going but sounds like I would probably use them for podcasts and videos...definitely going to get Zeos's set this week...
we need more affordable good headphones!!
close back or open back
i tried the Moondrop Joker and the Fiio JT1 and they're awful to my ears
hopefully this and the Division will be start of something better in the future
Agree, the IEM have saturated...time for HP in all price brackets
Bought the last one you talked about for my Daughter. Nice job
Great vid Chris
Nice build quality is always welcomed...
great review, i hope they make some planers next
it looks nicer than the previous one you reviewed
Notification gang!!🤟🏻
Sounds like it would be worth a listen, thanks for the inf.
The stream of thoughts on point 👍😅
For like 5 minutes then it went down the same old road
@@BadGuyGoodAudioReviews I am quite partial to that road and appreciate the journey. Thank you, feel better and enjoy your day.
Nice to see this from kiwiEars!! Would you maybe consider reviewing the Fiio FT1 ( closed back dynamic) and the FT1 pro (open back planar) ??
For me the look of the headphones is great and they look stylish
This looks like it might be less my speed than the other set. I think I'm in the same boat as you for my preferences here. As you said though, different strokes for different folks.
NICE more of the IEM brands dipping into the headphone realm. well built for the cash
Western mainstream headphone companies are gonna get stressed out when you can get better stuff from China for far less money. I give it two years max until the top options will mostly be from there.
It's quickly going that route and lotta brands get parts from China already...
I don't really have the room for headphones but so many decent budget sets are coming out lately
I wear headphone to not share my music, to not hear the noise around me. Not suitable for my needs but glad to see good designs coming out.
Would be interesting to have a Kiwi Ears headphone shootout eventually!
Not yet avilable in my currently but its in list of upcoming products on store website .. and i keep eye on it as fiio jt1 is only option under 50$ for right now
Division looks really good. This one’s graph looks like its own thing, but graphs don’t tell the whole story.
wow, thats a deep bass in the background, could you please share the ear pads for the division?
Good Morning IEM World!!!
Thanks for review
Can you give link to ear pads u use for Division?
I still get beyerdynamic vibes from these. I wonder do these 2 sets (Division & Ellipse) compliment each other rather than one being better than the other?
Kiwi is out here trying to run the entire audio market!!
Interesting how Kiwi Ears released both closed back and open back right away, instead of concentrating on developing just one.
I guess they want to position themselves as the budget Beyerdynamic.
Nice budget set
man, every video you listening to luther, you really like that song, whenn are ya gonna add it to the test tracks list? :))
Kiwi seems to be on the right development track IMO.
To more IEM companies doing headphones!
👆
Enjoying the Division!
Looks like Kiwi ears is releasing great set of budget headphones.
I'd like to get a set of open-back HPs as the kast time I heard one is ~15 years ago and it was my one and only experience with open-backs.
But these don't look that good, I'm afraid. I know they're incredibly cheap by the standards of the hobby, but... 🤷🏻♂️
Maybe I'd scrape up some more and go for FiiO FT1 Pro, but there was a report of a pretty bad channels mismatch... I think I'll rather settle for good old closed back in-ears as the most versatile solution.
Thank you for the video and everything else! 🙏🏻
Hey Chris, great video! Do these use normal sized pads that folks could swap out with generic ones for Hifiman, Senns, etc?
Hopefully the pleather headband is easy to replace when they start to flake.
If I invest in a set of headphones , they will have to be great for movies and music. I primarily listen to music while working around the house and for my use case IEMs make the most sense. I think however, that headphones would probably be the best for movies.
