There was one time when me and my sister had a HUGE argument. I can't remember what it was about but I do remember the escalation, the punch on the arm, the push, the grabbing of the hair-- but most importantly, I do also remember how we made up and it was during a game of TwinBee. Our dad made us play together a while after the ruckus and by the time we beat the first boss, we were friends again. Happened enough times through childhood that it became our unspoken white flag to the each other, a way for us to reach out and say we're sorry. My family were never good at expressing our feelings, and so every time me and my sister had a disagreement, one of us would boot up our old famicom, put on TwinBee, Contra or Ice Climbers, and the other would know that it was an apology, and that it was time to be friends again. Trhough the years, when there were break-ups, lay-offs, natural disasters or just a broken ankle or abdominal cramps, the good old famicom became like a bonfire in the darkness for two weary travelers. It made us say we're there for each other without uttering a single word. My family were never good at expressing our feelings. Sister passed away last week to some illness and I never got to properly say good-bye. I'm mad at myself for not remembering this game and all the wounds it mended for us both. I would have just shown her this video and it would have been enough. The visuals, the music, the gameplay-- even if it's obviously a bot that's playing, it would have been enough.
My deepest sympathy. My brother and I too fought like cats and dogs. But we did play games together. This was an amazing era. Your sister knows how you feel but she is not alive to tell you her opinion. She is grateful for the time she had with you and you dont have to feel guilty. If it was the other way around- would you not say that to her if you want her to move forward? Your sister is okay unfortunately she no longer has a living body for you to touch and tell her that. But as a living soul she heard your thoughts, opinion and guilt trips. Her one wish was " If only I was alive for a quick moment just to tell him- Its okay, I love him and I cherish the memories we had, its not his fault that I died and I am okay; I will always be here for him even if he cannot see or hear me. Those are the very things she yearned to tell you. You don't have to feel bad. She already knows.
What a wonderful sound. The music soundtrack mix with game effect makes my heart feel empty.feels like im back to the time im playing this game. i was 9 have nothing to think just playing.sory fo my bad english
this game is hard. when I was child, I confused which one I must shot, those bells, flying enemies, ground enemies, or avoid all those bastard projectiles, lol. Luckily, I only passed stage 2 and died. reset my NES, played Battle City, and imagined it as Battle of Kursk. (sorry for bad english, lol)
Got this day it came out, it's and excellent little lost gem, this game was put together very well and also very Nice soundtrack, sounds very similar to Stinger,
***** Like any other game of this type, later on if you lose the best weapons or what works the best for you, you're going to have to pay attention or you'll get pounded pretty fast, but it can be pretty difficult at times. Enemies sometimes swerve up and around you and sweep back down out of nowhere, but the real difficulty comes later if you happen to lose your upgrades.
The bright colourful visuals still hold up today! Somehow, I find Xevious a depressing version of Twinbee. Maybe I found its presentation way more drab in comparison.
I first played a version that has stage 4 & 5 looking like glitches (I was only 7 back then) . Didn't know this is the legit version of that 8-bit classic upward-scrollinh, shoot 'em up arcade. At least this answers my question after 19 years. The only bothersome about this game is losing your arms, giving you no choice but trade shots while amputated.
I never made it to the end. That thing at the end of the video... is that it? Is that all you get? There's no real acknowledgement that the WHOLE thing got done. It seems more like, "OK, you passed this level." But it's the LAST LEVEL! I played this game as a kid but never got to the end. I was trying to get _this?_ Wow.
Nossa! Saudades..... Comprei para o meu sobrinho em 1998 ele tinha 4 . Eu sempre jogava com ele pois era possível jogar em dupla mas ele pegava todos os brindes mágicos aí eu brigava com ele.rsrs...
+Angelostar88 Despite being one of Konami's most prominent series in Japan during most of the 1990s, only a select few titles of TwinBee were localized for the foreign market. Particularly the second console game Moero! TwinBee (which was released in America under the changed title Stinger);TwinBee is fairly fun. It's a goofy, wacky, shooter genre parody hailing from an age before such things were commonplace - it invites you into a world where color-changing bells hop out of clouds to power up your blasters and conifer trees yield pieces of candy when bombed from above. Its whimsy shines through even with aged 8-bit graphics, and the control feels silky smooth. Thanks for the awesome feedback on the run! Good guess, the game loop endlessly after level 6.
+Heroes of Xanadu - Sloth Thank you for the information! :-) Guess I will give this game it's deserved shot too when I have time between the other games in my collection! :-D
how do the bosses die so fast? it looks like you're playing a fake version or something. I almost died playing it when I was little, they wouldn't die even remotely as fast

most of modern music is electronically produced and can trace its roots directly to the chip tune genre of music from the late 70s and 80s
Felt likewise, man. Especially the opening sound hits hard.
And your English is just fine man.🙂
When I heard Twin Bee's soundtrack when I was a kid, I was blown away. I never heard anything like it on video games, it was so full of energy.
i was around 6 to 9yrs old dt time .... finally i witnesed d last stage of twin bee....thanks for d video...

15 mins?
How did i play this game for YEARS, for days, for hours each time :D
When I was playing this before, I really dont mind not reaching the master enemy as long as i got to get those red white and blue bells.
16 minutes of infinite nostalgia right here.

Dude... This is god level Gameplay
нихуясе ) я в 12 лет в нее пробовал , два уровня от силы, потом бесило и забросил эту игруху ) Чувак ваще зверь )) смотрю с ностальгией ...
this game was very successful in time, it made many childhoods
loosing myself to the catchy music was the main reason I always die in this game
Why he skips the blue bell !! It increase the movement and stretched the bees fire range
faisal1979m *The mystery of life.*
Hes aiming for the no death challenge instead of getting distracted by power ups
Okay, I therefore conclude that I won't be able to finish it because this is so insane!
Great job, btw!

What day did it come out?? There’s no information on the internet for it.

2:16 As a kid, I always thought it's the volcano making that music lol
Despite its cute theme and sound, this game is disgustingly hard.

Well, can't wait to play this on the NES Online service. Cool
First time played that on the NES virtual on the Switch. It’s great but still need to get use to it though
Can anybody tell me what each different colored bell means. I am playing it now and I don't know which colored bell gives you a 1up.....

Wow! Thats some mad skill 👍😮
I love the sound music of twin bee. Where i can download this music
Miss my childhood days
Very great playthrough of this classic gem. So this means after stage 6 the game is "finished" and it starts to loop back on the beginning?
