How To Add & Use Gboard (Google Keyboard) On iPhone

Here's how to add and use Google Keyboard on an iPhone.
For those who have been using an iPhone for a long time, the default keyboard that comes with the device can be a bit limiting in terms of features and customization options. However, with the help of Google's Gboard keyboard app, iPhone users can add a new layer of functionality to their typing experience.
For you to use it, you first need to download the Google Keyboard from the App Store. Go to the App Store and search for "Gboard". Once you find the app, tap on the "Get" button to download and install it on your device.
After the Gboard has been installed, you need to enable it on your device settings. Head to 'Settings' on your iPhone, then "General", and then "Keyboard". Tap on "Add New Keyboard" and select "Gboard" from the list of available options.
You can now use Gboard while typing and texting on your iPhone. With a wide variety of features, you can explore different features and customization options.

Delete the apple (English - US) keyboard from the keyboard settings along with Emoji and you can just put them back again in the "Add a keyboard" button in the Keyboard settings. That way GBoard is always default.

Gboard on iPhone does NOT work the same as it does on Android and I am pretty sure apple did that on purpose since it's leaps and bounds better than apple keyboard.

@@GAMERGEBITER Honestly nope, I have not found a workaround. Even the haptics for Gboard on iOS are trash. I have found that apple’s keyboard works better so I just default back to that. I’m sure apple knows that Gboard is leaps and bounds better than their keyboard which is why they dumb Gboard down so much.

I am considering Gboard on iPhone because the default keyboard doesn’t support dual language at the same time. I wat spellcheck and suggestions in both Dutch and English without having to switch manually. Does anyone know if this is possible without 3rd party software?

Gboard voice recognition does not work in Whatsapp chats. Also, if we use it on Safari/Chrome, it does work, however, it opens up the Gboard app and once I am done with the speaking part, it again redirects back to Safari/chrome followed by converting the voice to text. This process is very impractical and inconvenient at the same time. All this is intentionally done by Apple. Apple just wants us to use their own inefficient Apple keyboard. Also, upon using Gboard on iPhone for a month, I realised that the typing experience is not very seamless and the animations are kinda slow compared to that of Apple's. The same does not happen on Android phones. Apple should understand that English is not India's native language. Google's Hindi/Urdu language voice recognition is far far superior than that of Siri's. I never really use voice recognition while chatting. However, my parents/old age people are not very used to typing on a QWERTY keyboard. For them, google's voice recognition is a boon! This conservative and restrictive nature of Apple is unacceptable. These complications stops our parents from switching over to an iPhone from Android.
