"We're not scaffolders, we're not builders..." you do a brilliant job regardless and everything is done with the love of the village. I hope the weather is good for you during the autumn so the work can progress. I take it you want to put a new roof on at some time.
Yip, you are hilarious, loved your comment that 'as you get older you lose your bottle' I'm still giggling, I don't think I've every heard that saying before. You are both very brave to be up so high on that scaffolding, I think you have earned your 'monkey' climbing certificates.
Hello my lovelies. ❤Good to see progress and plans as they develop. I`m not at all enthusiastic about heights. A kitchen chair or a 2-step kitchen ladder makes me dizzy. 😂But great view! I watch with one eye closed, my heart in my throat and folded hands... 🙏 Take care of yourselves and good luck with this part of the restoration. ☘
Hi guys the holes in your walls are called putlog or putlock holes as you said they are for scaffolding logs (beams) to go into they have been used since medieval times to build castles and cathedrals keep up the good work from another Paul
Nice views , Looks like a lot of cutting out your tree roof garden . Nice to see Le Poste in the vlog 😂It is going to look really good when you have done all the repairs Paul and Yip😘
Wall bathed in lovely warm late afternoon light ! Smashing views of your beautiful La Busliere ! Great roof on workshop and just as i was wondering what the square holes were you told us ! Glad you have great hospitals - we could and should learn from an advanced european system. Anyway keep out of them please !
Playing catch up after being in hospital myself with a respiratory infection... not fun! safety first guys no injuries, love your hard work and tenacity Yip & Paul you both rock!❤👍🏾
For 2 lovely chaps who aren’t builders or scaffolder‘s you are both doing an amazing job. I know from tv shows I’ve watched on UK telly there are government grants you can apply for when restoring buildings. Do they have the same in France?
I can’t go up one step on a ladder to change a lightbulb!! My 82 year old husband just climbed through a very small window on our second floor, tied himself to a chimney and lowered himself down to mend a dormer roof that had been cocked up by the only time we have ever employed a roofer!!!!
I was away for a week and now I am hopelesly behind in watching UA-cam. Getting there slowly, I have a lot to catch up on. The pigsty, workshop and breadoven look lovely already, little taste of what the village will be like when finished! Go on boys, bon courage, you are doing great! 🤩💙
Hello Poppets! Would it be possible to scaffold from inside the cottage wall as well? I howled at your comment Yip, “ you lose your bottle as you get older” Keep up the fantastic work, you are an incredible couple xx
Bonjour 👋 Wow every day is a learning curve. The skills you both have mastered is absolutely amazing. Cant wait to see you on my favourite tv programme ❤️🏠❤️
Hi , You both are brave @ those heights ….Paul your camera views are epic hope Yip ‘s a good catch (or do you have a harness on??) 👋🏴 step with care!
I totally get the "desensitive" bit to the height! I almost can't bear to even watch people working on roofs, let alone be up there myself! Good luck and stay safe. That will be a really good job to get done before the winter weather sets in.
I know what you mean about your bottle going, I live in a 3 storey Georgian house and used to go up that like a rat up a drain pipe ! NOT any more, at 69 I might take a turn LOL and there's no way hubby is going up there either, oh err poppets
@@margarethall4559 Hello Margaret, currently dealing with a tragically sad situation here, had planned on posting to say as much on Saturday but alas our minds and hearts are otherwise engaged, this will be a very brief pause. Thank you all for your patience 🙏🏼❤️
Was that your post being delivered in the orange van? Good Luck and please be careful lads. Wear helmets and a harness if possible. I saw Daphnis' twin this week in London! Another 2CV in exactly the same blue colour. 🩵🩵
