    Excellent explanation! My riding instructors don’t really explain why when I’m tacking the horse, they just pull it where it should and we move on. Looking forward to your next video! Thank you for your work!!!

    This is a huge help in understanding how my saddle should fit my horse. My husband actually owns one of these pads and now I'm thinking I need one, too. Thanks Rhonda!

    I enjoyed this video series, thank you for sharing your knowledge. Good to see the bare saddle tree on the horse's back. I'm a newbie and it helped me with understanding fit alot better. Thanks!

    This video and the other one on saddling is pretty good stuff. I never entirely understood what the 3/4 and 7/8 rigging was about. Now I completely understand. good series and good job! thank you

    I'm sorry you had a bad experience with your CSI pad rooiand100. A saddle pad, no matter how good, can't solve a saddle fit issue. I can assure you CSI pads are not gimmicks. I have seen them work very well on many different horses. CSI stands behind their products, I would recommend you get in touch with them and see if they can help you adjust your pad or recommend something to help you with you situation.

    It seems like the pads would be hot with all of the layers. Even with the ventilation at the top. I have never used one but the material look like it would get pretty warm next to the horse.

    I watched your video and wanted to ask for help. I live in finland and have a Finnhorse that I would like to get a western saddle for her. Unfortunately here in Finland you can't try on a saddle unless it comes from a mobile saddle truck and they don't make western saddles. So I have to figure out a way to get a store bought saddle that will be right for my mare without the possibility of fitting it first. Is there some way I can do this that is accurate enough?

    Can a csi pad fix bridging?

    Why don't you also use the rear cinch to keep the back of the saddle from rolling forward?

    • @queengilly
      @queengilly 4 роки тому

      A rear chinch (or buck strap) is not made for that. It should have about 3inches of space from the belly so they can fully expand their stomach. It’s just an extra precaution for if they buck.

    cuz a rear cinch doesnt prevent saddle slide, it only stops saddle buck.

    I've been riding my 14 year old horse for 6 + years, first year with a CSI pad. Huge white area in back of the withers this year...... Sorry, I think CSI pads are just a gimmick.

    *Affecting*, not effecting. You AFFECT something. The effect is the result.

    Nice of u to jack your horse in the face with your elbow when he was trying to investigate what the noise u made behind him was. That's great horseman ship ...... NOT

      .... If you look again then you would realize that she just walked over to the side and he pulled his head away but she didn't hit him.
