I have been using one for many years. The floor brush clogs because the side facing suction orifices are too small. The carpet rotary brush swivel gets full of dog / cat hair and you can't suck it out. The "hidden" filter in the base clogs up and retains dog odor. I have one on order but they are very hard to get and you have to disassembly to the motor to change it, it costs $90. In Arizona I guess we have finer dirt, the cyclone tips do clog, I blow out the entire unit about every month. Yes the power cord is too short but not a huge problem. My Neumatic Henry works much better and is quieter and the power head works much better for carpet, it also uses a bag so there only one filter to shake out when replacing the bag which lasts a long time. The Dyson is $599 and the Henry is $469.
Best review I've seen for this vacuum. I guess you get what you pay for. I was hoping that it was so much cheaper than the cordless Dyson vacuums for fewer reasons, but apparently there a lot of reasons why it's cheaper.
I just got the Outsize Absolute. I can't imagine buying a corded vacuum ever again. The amount of runtime with 2 batteries and a large bin are everything I could ever need. Now is as good a time to switch to cordless as ever!
The efficiency made within dyson cordless stik vacs today is second to none. Their batteries literally hold less charge than batteries in flagship cellphones today like the note 20 ultra or apple 13 yet can run for a good amount of time. Thats really good combined with the freedom cordless gives u
Thanks so much for this as I just opened up my new dyson box and didn't have a clue what to do with all those bits and pieces.....so thank you again! The instruction manual is pretty useless as it doesn't explain parts which it should, and font too small to read! Given the cost of my Dyson one would imagine they'd include an indepth description of how to use these tools or at least what they're for.......very slack of Dyson to leave that out of a $1K+ gadget!!!!
Dyson should've used the XL torque drive anti hair cleaner head from their outsized cordless vacs on this machine. Suction driven brush heads are not good for carpets. They have to make the bristles soft to reduce the resistance so they can keep on rotating. Stiffer, deep cleaning bristles will provide too much resistance for suction powered heads to run right. Suction driven brushrolls can only run based on the level of suction the turbine receives. Soft bristles will provide light resistance for the head to run. But they won't deep clean carpets
Or at least make a battery operated powerhead for the canisters. All you need to do is charge the battery powered floorhead up and use with your Dyson canister that isn't motorized.
I wonder how long the hose will last until you have to replace it. With all that tension from moving and pulling machine along, I am sure the hose will be effected.
Oy nomas..not at all...I have been using this for over five years and it is still working well, but every 3 cleanings I blow off the filter on the dirt container... así que OY NOMASSSS.
Is there any advantage other than filter maintenance when compared to the ball animal 3 complete? Is this style supposed to be more powerful than an upright?
If you didn't want the spinning brush working, you can just remove it as you would for cleaning and just not put it back in, but replace the side door.
@@jdub099 only in Europe. We can’t get non-cinetic cylinder machines in Australia, they all are. The base model big ball used to be filtered and the dc28c but both have been discontinued
About 99.9% is filtered by the cyclone and what's left can't clog the filter in its lifetime. So you don't need to clean it and it's not serviceable anyway, as you have to disassemble the unit.
It's sad they stopped updating this bad boy. Cordless vacuum can't replace corded canister. Cordless vacuum is only good for small spaces with little dirt.

Do you still have it?
Great walk through, very thorough. Thank you so much.

I agree. I may not have a v11 up but the v10 absolute has made me have a similar opinions. It’s been an amazing cordless for us
I guess...
Battery replacement. Good luck
Went back to corded after batteries continued to die..
All I can say is, I miss my old Kenmore canister Vacuum from the 80"s.
A very good and completely review.., greetings from Spain.
How do i put the bottom back on has when I was emptying the bottom came off
This specific model is the absolute in Australia. The animal only comes with the tangle free and the groom tool in addition
so there is no filter to remove to wash?
Quick awesome review. No time wasted
I wish you would have shown how to stow it away. That hose is cumbersome, Trying to figure it out.

@MrCopy if shark can do it on their canister vacs, how come dyson can't? Also I'm sure dyson's earlier canister models used to have powered heads
@@pambazos7353 no that isn’t true. Shark do it and and the dc05,21,23 and some others all had motor head options
@@pambazos7353 do you mean extendible? Because this machine very much doesn’t have a extendable hose. I own one I would know.

Which one is better this or the DC54. Thanks

I love this vacuum and they dyson discontinue the vacuum. Now I can't get the piece I need it.
Hey 👋 , which canister vacuum do you recommend for all types of floors please
Great review…as always
Huh, I thought they discontinued the cinetic line.
I think this is an older vacuum. Maybe an archive video or late review?
They still sell this one in Canada.

Great pet and general use vacuum.

Would you recommend
Where do you find them?
I bought one. Is amazing. Thanks
Is it powerful and do you get back pain from wand or is it tall enough. and is it good.
Cant stand dragging canister style vacuums around....
Someone here who want it to sell the tool floor brush?
Way too many tools to raise the price and unnecessarily use the limited natural resources
🤡
I have the cy22 model number: RT1-US-KKA0611A
