Can you imagine if Cabrera had Prince protecting him his whole career? You would see probably like 7-8 MVP’s out of Cabrera. Because the amount of fastballs Cabrera saw during Fielders 2 years in Detroit were crazy. Sure, prior to Fielder Cabrera had V-Mart protecting him but it’s still not the same in terms of legit power. V-Mart had some pop but nothing that was close to Fielder. Pitchers had to play a game of pick your poison with Cabrera and Fielder and more often then not Fielder made them pay and that’s why Cabrera saw a heavy dose of fastballs with Fielder behind him. Cabrera would probably be pursing 600 homers by now instead of 500. Cabrera was special in his prime.
Mario and rod and prime dan and Jim were such a treat! Now we’ve got Matt shepherd how can’t tell a groundout from a strikeout, and rambling CMO. Jim just got older and doesn’t sound the same, but it is still enjoyable to hear him once a month! And Dan decided to become a pitch expert who does nothing but say “oh wow!” Dan is more tolerable then Matt shepherd but he isn’t the same.
What would've been fantastic to watch was having Fielder, Cabrera, Cespedes, Hunter etc. On the Tigers if this was a "Dream Team Line-up" along with Verlander, Price, Scherzer and Zimmermann, but what's interesting about that lineup is the fact that all of those players were in Detroit at all different times so either way we should appreciate everyone's contributions to the Detroit Tigers team over the years
I agree. Miss those good teams from the mid decade and it makes you thing of all the great players that came and went. Those were fun times and I still can’t believe we couldn’t make it further. Hopefully we’ll get there again in a couple years.
Until Scherzer went for the money, the Tigers had a World Series team. After that, it was a gradual descent and breakup, and now the present 10 year or so rebuild.
I'm a die hard White Sox fan and I would have loved to see Fielder stay healthy and stay in Detroit tbh. After learning about his dad and his childhood it seemed like he should have been a Tiger for longer
Listen, Mike Ilitch is a legend.. When ppl see the roster and understand that these players are in their primes and it's about the players not getting it DONE.. PERIOD.. Mike we know how hard you tried and the money you put into this roster.. Thank you for trying so hard!! And giving us amazing moments in Detroit history.. A dynasty in the NHL with the Red Wings and putting together a winner with the Tigers.. Chris needs a break he can't help it we was born with a baby dick.. .
Just imagine how many more he would’ve had if Prince was protecting Cabrera his whole career? Definitely 6-7 for sure! Because a Prime Cabrera was nothing to mess with.
Back when they had a team and announcers. Worst commentators ever: Kirk Gibson, Joe Buck, George Blaha, Greg Kelser, Jason Strayhorn, Ken "The Hawk" Harrelson, Fred McLeod, Austin Carr, Marv Albert, Brent Musburger, Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, Ralph Lawler, Grant Napear, and Mike "Doc" Emerick. Best commentators ever: Ken Daniels, Mickey Redmond, Mario Impemba, Rod Allen, Neil Funk, Stacey King, Gary Thorne, Bill Clement, Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth, Don Orsillo, Dave O'Brien, Dennis Eckersley, Jerry Remy, Pat Hughes, Ron Coomer, Len Kasper, Jim Deshaies, Bill Land, Sean Elliot, Bob Fitzgerald, Jim Barnett, Frank Beckmann, Jim Brandstatter, Dan Dierdorf, Johnny Most, Chick Hearn, Joel Meyers, Bill Macdonald, and Stu Lantz.

yes I totally agree. great observations boog u are literally so cool I’m ur biggest fan
I would rather listen to cats mating than listen to Matt Shepherd and Craig Monroe. Spot on analysis Boog!!
look how packed Comerica Park used to be :(
It’ll be like that again soon enough
@@baseball2741 yes
Yeah maybe a couple more years.

I'd take Sanchez Fister or Price over Zimmerman every time

@@seancorcoran6394 hell even Porcello
Man I miss fielder! His swing was so nice
Dan Dickerson's calls❤

I still wish Prince was still with us sometimes

My gosh I miss him!
I miss him in both Milwaukee and Detroit. Very likeable dude
One of my favorite tigers!!
Man these were some fun summers… Time flies
That catwalk homerun is the longest in mlb history
No it isn’t the longest is José Canseco Rogers Centre home run it was 540 feet
@@Cajuntiger they couldn't accurately measure it because it hit the catwalk. If it kept going it mightve been 550.
@@CARS0NNa absolutely that ball could have went 550 if it didn’t hit the catwalk just saying it’s not the longest one
Josh Gibson hit one totally out of Polo Grounds. That's the farthest I know.
His pull swing was so beautiful.
It was so fun having Prince and Miggy in the lineup
Miggy & Biggy.a major reason why Cabrera had back 2 back mvp years
Just imagine how many more he would’ve had if Prince was protecting Cabrera his whole career? Definitely 6-7 for sure! Because a Prime Cabrera was nothing to mess with.
And he wasn’t just there to make Cabrera look good he actually made pitchers pay whenever they walked Cabrera intentionally or pitched around him.

That bat flip tho
Em brought me here!
Respect to D!!!
Imagine if he'd played at Tiger Stadium . . . he would have loved the overhang
I was at that Oakland game with my mom-only Tigers fans in the section. The place was quiet for a few minutes after that.?
A ball getting crushed off a wooden bat might be my favorite sound in all of sports. Right next to a good fastball just snapping in the catchers glove
I miss Fielder
Legitimately speaking no BS my god every time he steps up I’d walk him there’s no way in hell I’m pitching to him
🤣🤣🤣👍
I love is show
he is like a grizzly bear wearing a baseball uniform.
Gotta show the one against the orioles that went on top of the brick wall!!
Con un equipo tan bueno y no pudieron ser campeones
Man I miss mario the new guys suck

You missed Dave Straiter I was said to see him leave him and Redmond so good
I wouldn't be knocking Kirk Gibson, he's a good announcer .
