    I think this is probably the best of a series of videos made...hands down! I've learned so much, and you make it look so easy that as a beginner I will have a little more confidence to try these moves out. thank you!

    Another great video - love the way you break things down in detail with the slo-mo instant replay. Also the tips like finger direction and practicing the lead without the hand are super helpful. I wish my WC Swing looked as smooth and relaxed as Anthony's (my wife says I look rushed and stressed trying to do the whips). An idea for a future video might be your thoughts on how to decide which dance is best to do for a given song?

    i like the language of compression and extension vs. compression and leverage. it seems to fit better but my professional bias may have jaded me! i hear leverage and think finance jargon.

    Best teacher I have ever seen on UA-cam.
    I have a question: In the last move (Stalker Whip), at the end of couple of forward "WALK WALK" counts you stepped back and verbally counted ROCK STEP ... . What was the third WORD after ROCK STEP? ( previous explanation you counted TRI-PLE STEP) . Thanks in advance.

    • @countrydancex
      @countrydancex  5 років тому

      Thank you for the kind compliment :-)
      Could you possibly tell us where in the video you're referring to? As in, could you tell us at what time in the video? That will make it much easier to answer.

      The word was "go" as in "rock step go". This would be a triple step (3 steps to 2 beats of music) danced as a rock step and then forward movement.

    My confusion either with the 6 count or 8 count is why do they call a 6 count a 6 count when you do a step step triple step triple step? wouldn't that equal 8? the same with the 8 count you say step step triple step step triple step. that is actually 10? I have done it on the dance floor and by watching your video and it is the most confusing part of this whole dance. when I count it by step step triple step triple step, it helps a whole lot except I have a hard time knowing where step 4 is, if I count the steps by #s
    12 (ie walk walk) 345 (triple)678 (triple) for the 8 count 1,2 (walk walk) 456 (triple) 67 (walk walk) 8910 (triple) again I lose step 4 and again the steps equal 10 not 8. this is probably the hardest part of this dance

    • @countrydancex
      @countrydancex  3 роки тому

      Hi there. No, there are 6 count and 8 count patterns. They aren’t called 6 and 8 step patterns.
      Counts are related to music, not weight changes.
