G6 over S8 any day. No amoled screen burn in. No lack of tempered glass screen protectors with the flat screen. A fingerprint reader that doesn't look like an afterthought right where it should be in the middle on the back. Throw in the wide angle camera and the S8 can suck it.
John Cotton you mean to say "S8" and I don't disagree. It'll be the more popular phone by far. Flossy will love the design and the curved display and the 64GB RAM and possibly the iris scanner. But I still choose and recommend the G6. I left Samsung for LG cause I need a removable battery so I have a V20. And I'm jealous of the dual 13MP cameras of the G6.

I bought this phone a couple weeks ago & it's been the best phone ever so far! This replaced my LG G2 that I was using for the past three years. So far the battery life has been excellent & I love that it has integrated wireless charging so I've been finally able to use the wireless charger in my car which my LG G2 wasn't compatible.
The IR blaster is a great feature that they really should have included. I use it on my g3 all the time for my t.v. and receivers. I would have already bought it if it had an IR blaster and removable battery.
The realest of reviews indeed, the kind of review I'd watch if I considered buying a new flagship phone. I love your attitude, the review doesn't get boring even tho its almost 40 minutes long. Don't change Floss.

No inconvenience. you can't even use it while you're charging it soooo yeah. wireless charging is just a fun gimmick that's practical and fun and stylish and simple and easy to use. floss acts likes it necessary but its never really needed it it's not necessary, it's just really cool like using the Google voice feature use voice to text.

Just a note, yeah, waterproof is great, but not at the beach with salt water. Pool, rain, all go. Ocean, not so much as corrosive. Great review. Going with this for a year as a daily, then looking at the S8 when the price drops for early 2018? Peace.
Ive had this phone for almost 2 years now and i totally agree with you about the battery. Especially when it gets older and doesnt hold a charge as well as it did when new. I bought it for the camera and its served me well but im going to have to upgrade soon becauae of the battery. Probably go with the samsung A50 after seeing your review
The G6 with the case dropped 7% of battery after 34 mins of standby (with always on display) + moderate use at ~ 90% of brightness. The battery is alright I guess, but I agree with you, the G6 should have had at least a 3500mAh battery in it.

I picked up the Mate 9. Your unboxing video of the Mate 9 made my decision on getting the phone easier; it is worth 600 bones(plus tax because we all know about that tax life). Anyway, great video like always. You bring the heat when it comes to these reviews. When it come to the 'Always on displays', my Lumia 640 XL has that feature. I'm going to get the 950 XL later this year. Still a Windows fan.

Floss... I have been using the ZMAX Pro with fingerprint sensor in the back for almost six months. I have not had any problems when the back of the phone gets dirty or slightly wet when laid on the bar. If the sensor is in that place under the camera it's really easy to use. I don't think the placement on the back of the phone is an issue as you described.
I just finished my contract i have the G6 since early 2018... I have not been impress with it, hot or miss performance overheating issues early on and it has a common issues with the back camera glass breaking for no reason ( happen to me and 2 of my co worker) altought it is an easy and cheap repair, i did mine and one of my coworker G6 . I cant beleive i wasted 999$ on this phone

Bought one of these new for 179 to use while I sent my S9 for a warranty issue and I gotta say it doesn't suck even in 2019. Camera is good, plenty fast enough for day to day "normal" use but for the life of me I can not figure out why the battery life is so bad. But for a couple hundred bucks it's a great backup phone and a lot better quality than a burner at the same price.
Just bought the G6 today from Tmobile. This review is incredibly insightful and educational, and just awesome. I'm coming from a having a budget smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy On5. Had that for almost 2 years, so the G6 is a HUGE step up for me. Anyway, you're awesome man and thanks for posting

Kouve Jr Hell yeah,these phones coming out have me drooling. I decided to take a year long break from android on this 7 plus and suddenly the G6 was revealed and then the s8 haha,it's disappointing but this phones still a top competitor. Benchmarks are top notch,screen isn't the best but looks great,battery life is great,cameras great,iOS could use an overhaul but I ain't complaining. Biggest loss is no downloading music in the browser.
***** I never said the note 8 will bury the v30 and has far as the g6 being horrible just because of no removable battery is crazy, were just going to have to get used to it. LG was the last company to have removable battery. I've had the G2,G4,V10, and now I have the V20 with my G4 as my second phone. I'm just going to deal with it the best I can. I do have two phones so I should be fine.

I love my G6! Went into T-MOBILE today and held the S8 and it was so slippery and it definitely needs a case on it. The G6 on the other hand feel secure planted in your hand.

S7 edge #4 android phone? That's crazy! 3600 mah battery..."nugget" boyz are in full effect mode. This is the only phone getting me through after the Note 7 debacle. I own every phone on your top list. Note 8 is what I'm waiting for..BUT s7 edge is better than s8 and every other android phone.

you're right flossy Carter anyone who says wireless charging is a gimmick has never used it. I wirelessly charge my S7 Edge every time I charge it I can't even remember the last time I use the micro USB port.
Great review as always Floss. I had the G3 so I have a special place for LG phones and I like seeing them do well. It was a shame about the G5 last year really, but it looks like they've really come back with the G6. Having a lower price was the right move for them too, I think people who don't like edge displays will appreciate that when they go for this over the s8! Phone prices are too damn high these days and I can get this one for about the same as I can a used Pixel XL or iPhone 7 which is pretty good. Loving my Pixel XL, but damn, I want that P10 for the portrait mode and the LG for the wide angle. 😏
I'm thinking about it too but since the G6 was released in 2016 I'm worried about it aging badly so I'm going for the s8 or maybe even The mate9. Might even wait for the 10 series coming 16th October not sure. Comments and thoughts are welcome.

Bought one of these new for 179 to use while I sent my S9 for a warranty issue and I gotta say it doesn't suck even in 2019. Camera is good, plenty fast enough for day to day "normal" use but for the life of me I can not figure out why the battery life is so bad. But for a couple hundred bucks it's a great backup phone and a lot better quality than a burner at the same price.
I might not use them but I want them ahhh lol typical flossy... great reviews mans always keeping it real.

I'm coming from a having a budget smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy On5. Had that for almost 2 years, so the G6 is a HUGE step up for me.

Kouve Jr Hell yeah,these phones coming out have me drooling. I decided to take a year long break from android on this 7 plus and suddenly the G6 was revealed and then the s8 haha,it's disappointing but this phones still a top competitor. Benchmarks are top notch,screen isn't the best but looks great,battery life is great,cameras great,iOS could use an overhaul but I ain't complaining. Biggest loss is no downloading music in the browser.
Big Danny LG will buried their own phone when the v30 come out and Samsung will pretty much sort of buried their own phone when the Note 8 comes out.
***** I never said the note 8 will bury the v30 and has far as the g6 being horrible just because of no removable battery is crazy, were just going to have to get used to it. LG was the last company to have removable battery. I've had the G2,G4,V10, and now I have the V20 with my G4 as my second phone. I'm just going to deal with it the best I can. I do have two phones so I should be fine.
Love your reviews...I just got the LG G6 and paired it with my car....boy does the sound POP compared to the Iphone6...So much more variety to get the sound you want....

Went into T-MOBILE today and held the S8 and it was so slippery and it definitely needs a case on it. The G6 on the other hand feel secure planted in your hand.

S7 edge #4 android phone? That's crazy! 3600 mah battery..."nugget" boyz are in full effect mode. This is the only phone getting me through after the Note 7 debacle. I own every phone on your top list. Note 8 is what I'm waiting for..BUT s7 edge is better than s8 and every other android phone.

you're right flossy Carter anyone who says wireless charging is a gimmick has never used it. I wirelessly charge my S7 Edge every time I charge it I can't even remember the last time I use the micro USB port.

Great review as always Floss. I had the G3 so I have a special place for LG phones and I like seeing them do well. It was a shame about the G5 last year really, but it looks like they've really come back with the G6. Having a lower price was the right move for them too, I think people who don't like edge displays will appreciate that when they go for this over the s8! Phone prices are too damn high these days and I can get this one for about the same as I can a used Pixel XL or iPhone 7 which is pretty good.
Loving my Pixel XL, but damn, I want that P10 for the portrait mode and the LG for the wide angle. 😏

I'm thinking about it too but since the G6 was released in 2016 I'm worried about it aging badly so I'm going for the s8 or maybe even The mate9. Might even wait for the 10 series coming 16th October not sure. Comments and thoughts are welcome.
