Cavalry came riding over the hill and saved the day ... superb job Mark... Bet the owners are thrilled and relieved
o yes, thanks as always
Fantastic transformation. Absolutely stunning.
🙏 thank you
Great job mark , what a talent you have 👍
thank you
4K for basically a weekends work I’m in the wrong job nice makeover
Frantic Blue crazy right
Looks great Mark love the transformation from still dank water to a living pond. The local wild life will be very happy and will the owners.
Yvonne Borlenghi thank you, yes already we have more dragonfly’s due to the sound of running water.
I have had all shapes and sizes buzzing around. I had to rescue a very big one from the lounge the other day. It wasn’t happy about it but I succeeded and it flew away unharmed
That pond looks 10 times better mark top marks for that one mate just bet a pond like that but 2 times bigger would just look fantastic
Kevin Pawsey thank you yes the bigger the better! lol
LOL so they tell me but when you've got 11st pushing it does it matter ha ha ha
Nice stuff.
thank you
Brilliant transformation.
Tracey Pye thank you it means a lot
A great transformation Mark, love it
OZZYTHEOSCAR thanks mate
Excellent pond that I can see will stay clean for a long time to come. My two favourite plants are water mint and marsh marigolds. Water mint has to be regularly managed but creates an excellent backdrop to the rear and edge of a pond. Also great for attracting insects. Marsh marigolds behave themselves and give a great flower in early season. I Just wish I had your in depth knowledge of ponds. I've had ponds for slightly over 60 years and my learning curve keeps on going! Great videos.
I love learning new stuff. Always something to learn from. Thank you, the day we stop learning is the day we start to die.
Great turn around , love the idea of the stream /waterfall , I've also had a wildlife pond poorly designed & not what I wanted at all so as these owners have done will get someone in that knows what they are doing , in the meantime still have hundreds of tadpoles etc to watch :)
It's crazy how many people go through this. I need your help, how do get in front of people before they put their trust into someone that only knows what they know. I truly believe the first company did not do it on purpose. How did you research the first company?
I’m guessing the only dislike is from the first contractor who built the pond 😂
lol maybe, I don't understand why people dislike without giving feedback, thank you for making me smile
The Pond Advisor lol, you’re welcome 😊 I agree! I enjoyed the video, very informative and such an amazing job on the pond!
Awesome Result....
I just done a clay one . I dug down through top soil . Hit clay . Went another 8 inches down for extra clay . Stiffed it added water skimmed it all over and sides twice . Best it with a Cornish shovel . Filled it up with water and its day 3 no leaks . Even got fuller through the rain . Over the moon
Nice
The difference is amazing! What kind of rock is that and where did you get it from?
brown ironstone from oxfordshire, this stone is hard to get hold off, they stopped digging it up about 8 years ago
Hello mark,i love your pond..did you use water pump 3000LPH for this pond? And how many Liters of water for this pond?
I trusted you until I saw those boots 🤣😂
Love them, ha ha
Where do you get the rock from for this pond?
Oxfordshire, I have a network of local farmers that create a few small rock piles for me
Hi Mark great work, what are the name of the big stones you used please

The audio for your videos needs work. The talking is so quiet I have turn the volume way up but keep my finger on the volume button constantly to quiet the LOUD portions quickly. Do u wear a mic for the videos?
So, do you just plant the plants straight into the water without the basket?
Pond plants are just like garden plants, some prefer pots some prefer soil, some prefer low food content and some high. We did a mixture in this pond. Some of the oxygenating weed went straight in to the water.
Do you plant to plants in a soil or bare root?
yes on this pond yes, is it best for the plants no, i have a plant video covering a little more on this subject

So the original cost £4000, how much did the restoration cost? another £4000?
I cant totally remember I would say more, however the restoration fee was not the wasted one, we will be going back this year to service the pond
4k for that, insane!
The contractor can't have been a professional passionate about ponds; he didn't even provide a slope for wildlife to climb out of safely.
Yes I think they were general landscaper’s that did not know ponds. Lots of places now every edge is wildlife friendly
