@@EagleDynamicsTV Hiya, When are we going to see another german aircraft come to DCS. Maybe some other 190/109 varients as axis are way out numbered 4-2. 7-2 if you count upcoming and exisiting russian/ corsair. Also a texture update would be appreciated as 109/190s are showing there age. Thanks.
Flyable Bombers would be a real gamechanger for WW2 gameplay
Love to see ED bringing the well deserved love to the WW2 front. Now let the bomber modules begin! B-25 or A/B-26 would be a great start. A lot them still flying here in the states to.
Well, it's Ugra that has made this map, not ED. I would love if ED dropped some new AI assets with the Normandy 2 release. But I doubt that will happen

ED's extending the WW2 asset pack - I think they said they will announce additions to it soon (?), or at least this year :P
@@Jarlerus Well they've said they'll add something to the Pacific, but that's all I've seen, my guess is will have to use US Airborne as marines for a long time, if we even get Japanese infantry to fight that is.

The dogfight scane is the best dogfight scane ever made in DCS cinimatic history
please please put that red-blood effect in all the planes... That was gritty and realistic as hell
I'm sitting here having to catch my breath after watching that....This video immediately brought images of the book I'm currently reading 'Fly For your Life' by Larry Forrester about WW II RAF fighter pilot Ace Robert Stanford Tuck......extremely well done....must have more of this.

What I love about this trailer is that it is indeed representative of the experience. I jumped onto a packed WW2 server at release night, and joined several fights just a visually appealing and intense as the trailer. Superb performance on this stunning new map.
And that is why, when flying a BF109, you only go two turns with a spitfire and then gfto
I love that glowingamraam went through the effort of making the dogfight make sense. The flat scissor forcing the overshoot etc, very nice!

Looks gorgeous! This map is absolutely begging for the Ju 87, the P-38 and a FF multi-crew bomber: Ju 88, B-25, etc. Take my money!
JU 87 was pretty much obsolete by 1941… everything DCS WW2 is circa late 1944
@@johnrowland2773 It may have been obsolete but it was still in frontline service right up to the last days of the war. The G series tankbuster variants would be absolutely perfect for DCS.
I agree, I would love a Ju 87 in DCS. I’d like to have a bit more variation on the German side.
P-38 and B-25 would be instant purchases too 😆
@@mykneeme Agreed fully. The Ju 52 could be as simple as a re-skinned C-47. The Bf-110 would be really neat addition, as well as some early war stuff like the He 111 and Do 17. If DCS wants to build up the WW2 side of the sim it really needs some more variety.

got some serious "Sky Crawler" vibes there at teh beginning, and I loved it. Could definitely stand to have more fictional air combat themed movies like Sky Crawlers.

Some sound affects are from the movie Pearl Harbor, the person who made this has a very good taste indeed.

I would like them as well but I don't believe these planes exist anymore. Same as the Sabre Napier 24 cylinder engines. I think they need to get hands on to create a realistic flight model and sounds etc. I think that is why they work so closely with that museum they credit so often. It might be why they sound like crap in that other sim. There exists an old audio recording of one in a museum somewhere. It's on UA-cam I believe.
We may get the Hurricane one day.
I think Germany needs an attack plane as well. Like the Me 410 "Hornisse" or 110, if they can get one still flying today.
There is a Tempest II nearing complete restoration to flight and a further 4 on public display. So it's doable. While I love the Hurricane, it would largely get it's arse handed to it in the 1944 theatre of DCS
I dont even play dcs (as much as i want to) but i watch all of the trailers because they are all just amazing, this one is especially good

Epic guys, absolutely stunning cinematic Video! Love to fly in DCS with the old Warbirds, but i think we need a good Me 109 G6. The K-4 in my opinion not well used in 1944. My Grandpa was shot down over Russia in his G6 in 1943 an KIA. So bad, that my Grandma would not told much about her hardest Times in her Life. R.i.P. all the young People that fought an die for politics.
A late G-6 would be good for Normandy, or maybe a bit improved G-14.

ED are by far the very top echelon when it comes to realistic and accurate combat simulation creators! That's why so many of us who don't play can get plenty of satisfaction from watching it without owning it!🤩 Double edged sword for sales? Or brilliant marketing?

Could quite easily do duty as a fine Spitfire module trailer as well. Very pleased to see that the old tradition of flying an RAF fighter under Tower Bridge is alive and well at 3:40 . DCS WWII is now a very special thing. Much enjoyed, and looked forward to.
Great looking presentation. I don't see how anyone would rather shoot missiles at something they can't see than to mix it up old-school in a dog fight...
This simulation always amazes me. It seems like animation cut scenes of a game not actual game play, so insane.
They were all heroes whatever the regime they did fighting for....but many of them payed a terrible price....thank you so much for giving back our freedom🇬🇧🇫🇷🇺🇸🇨🇦

Can I just say how much I appreciate the 109 using it's advantage to get the kill?
No faffing about, no suddenly being spotted at the last second, a clean ambush kill.
Interesting that he only used the 13mms and not the 30mm for both attacks, but I guess the 30mm would've ended the fight in short order once or twice.
(I'll freely admit one thing though, I hate the MK108, I prefer the MG151/20 for anti-fighter work, and the G-10 over the K-4.)
Maneuvering critique-wise it's a bit sad to see him just use horizontal scissors against a spit, usually not that great an idea, rolling scissors are better, but it does fit the idea that a lesser experienced young Pilot (number 19 after all) gets a kill through an ambush and then looses the fight due to not playing to his aircraft's strengths.
Rolling scissors has helped me foil the attacks of spits and Hurris in Cliffs of Dover MP a few times, against some seriously good pilots.
A very good cinematic with none of the usual too overt sops to "the narrative".
