We're taking a brief look into what you can expect if you have to attend a video recorded police interview in Western Australia.
Generally the purpose of the interview is to attempt to obtain more admissible evidence to strengthen the prosecution's case against you, rather than give you an opportunity to tell your version of events. At the beginning of the interview, the police will explain your rights and provide you with a caution that advises you are not obliged to answer any questions, but anything you do say will be recorded and could be used as evidence against you.
Learn what happens during a police interview, who is present and how long a police recorded interview goes for.

I was arrested in November 3rd 2019 and interviewed for alleged Breach of Restraining Order April 2018. they let me go under inestigation. Now after nearly 10 months they called me to ask if i would attend the police station for a voluntary interview. During the first interview the police officer asked me "Were you not convicted for the same officence in 2013" My Solicitor replied "Why are you asking him that, he's already served his time for that"? In my eyes the police have already found me guilty.

If you are accused of a serious offence, then it is important to have a legal defence if you have no idea wats going on.

What is not made clear here , this is in Australia . Where the law may well be different to your country . Here in the UK , it is very , very important that you have a solicitor with you . If not only give your name address and date of birth , nothing else ! There is nothing in law that forbids the police lying to you . Saying they have a witness or some other evidence when they do not . If a police officer comes to your house and requests , note requests . You accompany him to a police station for a interview . Refuse , be polite , but never go with him !
