I was there for this me and my fiance had a room at caesars facing Trump plaza. Sickest thing seeing a implosion in person. We felt the explosives go off and the building shook!!! I was trying to figure out if CDI did this implosion because i love seeing implosions and the documentaries that were made of CDI prepping building for implosion and finally found this channel on the CDI website. Awesome video and great shots. Crazy how you got it to come down in to a perfect pile all in one spot!!! Can't wait to see the next one
That was an impressive drop, into a nice, small, tidy pile of debris. It still boggles me to see good buildings brought down, but I guess there are always business reasons behind it.
That was a smooth demo........looks like it went pretty much as planned. Good work! As a construction worker, it's sort of sad to see a building demolished but on the other hand, nothing lasts forever...........plus, often, something better is built in its place.
2:04 "While you're at it, could you blast this thing too?" Considering who used to own this building, it's a nice bit of symbolism here, and also pretty good timing.
I heard there was a fundraiser and they auctioned off the opportunity to press the button to start the charges. Was there any footage of the auction winner pressing the button to bring the house down?
this never happened... the auction was planned but once the building owner at the time found out about it, he stopped the fundraiser due to safety concerns. he made a donation to the boys and girls club to make up some of what they couldn’t get from the fundraiser.
so everybody loves the end show... but there is probably a lot of engineering and prep work necessary to get the desired results! in this video I saw a structure that was not part of the original building (looked like a stabilizing structure) that helped fell the building in a direction? supposition, but my point... think of the prep and engineering... amazing
Reminds me of an architect's boast that his sports stadium design will last 300 years - brash, as none in the modern era have lasted more than 60 odd years, and even less if attached with the Olympics badge.
Every time there is a wide shots in those videos I hope to see someone not in the loop in a building nearby pop out of the window like what the fuck is happening xD
The concrete is ground up and used again as aggregate in new concrete, the rebar wiring and other steel is recycled as best as it can be. That's really all that's left at that point, all the furnishings, fixtures and even windows are removed before demo.
Fun fact: this was the old Harrah's at Trump Plaza that was documented already on various news networks. Glad to see the various views here. Happy to see this eyesore gone and wondering how many more former Trump gambles will get dropped.
I do not foresee the other two-Trump Marina was initially another company that could not obtain a license-MGM Grand I think-and Taj Mahal was initially a Caesar's property, but wound up purchased and continued by Trump. The only other one-World's Fair, was twice failed casinos and Trump could not get it to be licensed as a fourth casino. It was demolished a long time ago. You can see it as The playboy in Eddie and the Cruisers.
And thus is the end of what was once called Trump Plaza, sponsor of Wrestlemanias IV and V and a victim of Trump somehow managing to compete WITH HIMSELF. The story of the swift demise of the casino is really a crazy one.
The pile is very compact! Impressive job!
No matter how many times I watch an implosion it always puts me in awe. Amazing.
1:50 Fantastic close-up shot. More of these please in future demolitions!

I'm really stunned about how small that pile of rubble is!😲 Nice Demo CDI!👍
I have missed the beautiful collapsing structures you create, lovely work.
Your team is amazing. You make it look easy but I bet there was a lot behind the scenes to make that building drop so cleanly. Nice Job!!
2:17 was a failed demolition, so they brought it back and blew it up again.
Absolutely in love with the comedic timing and framing of the last explosions’ “ping” to bring down the gate structure. Great job!
Very cool shots! Stayed there in 2015 when it was showing it’s age. Thanks for posting.
Brilliant work, as always, CDI!

It still boggles me to see good buildings brought down, but I guess there are always business reasons behind it.
looks to be a PERFECT shot! great job, guys!
Every one of these buildings started out as an architect's vision...
Building: Well blow me down!
CDI: Consider it done!
well done that was a perfect landing.
Pretty impressive how it came down into a neat pile like that. It looks more like it was made with a front loader and not a falling building.
That was a smooth demo........looks like it went pretty much as planned. Good work!

Such a beautiful sight; Very artistic the way you bring down old buildings.
Hotels don’t convert to office space effectively. Always good to see CDI cleanly drop another building !
It's like an artform, the end result is a ready made pile of rubble, and zero damage too the surrounding buildings, amazing.
I like the way they control the direction of fall, like felling a tree.
Good riddance to a miserable eyesore of a failure. Good to see his building down too! But at least another spot-on drop by CDI!
Exactly!
2:04 "While you're at it, could you blast this thing too?"
Considering who used to own this building, it's a nice bit of symbolism here, and also pretty good timing.
👍🏼Fantastic work! (As usual!) 😎
I remember my friend telling me the rigging looks like the company that shows the buildings being demolished on UA-cam.
Beautiful work as always!!
The different angles for the camera was great....
I would like to point out that this kinda proved that the Twin Towers weren't destroyed in a controlled demolition because those explosives ARE LOUD.
Another nice video as always, good job.
Damn that is some amazing destruction. I can't believe how small the debris pile was.
What a pile , fantastic visuals , dropping that building in such a small space , a real Art ! Thanks for the thrill !
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’d love to know how much of the debris is recycled?
Keep up the great work
The world's largest pipe organ (building next door) thanks you for getting it right!
I hope the pipe organ wasn't damaged with all that dust flying around.
Awesome pile left, very small... see you in Jacksonville in a few weeks!
Nice camera angles
0:59 Nice FS Modulator 2008 siren!
Incredible job. As always
What’s going on with that other building? Is it also being imploded?
Job well done, looks like it dropped right down into its own footprint.
Great Show! Thanks.
Excellent work! The best of the best.
Very neat pile.
Amazing Work 🤘
And juuuuuuusst a perfect pile left. Awesome!
Du grand art !! Félicitations Mr Loizeau !!
years to build, years of existence, and seconds to destroy.
Please consider adding a bunch of pink and blue dust to these demos. The extra color or maybe throw some lazers in the dust? That would be amazing
Is the shorter white tower coming down at a later date as well?
Staying
It wasn't that long ago, people actually wanted to go to Atlantic city.
Very impressive work. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome job 👍
Nice job!
Atlantic City could use a whole lot more of this.
I heard there was a fundraiser and they auctioned off the opportunity to press the button to start the charges. Was there any footage of the auction winner pressing the button to bring the house down?

2:16 So nice you had to do it twice?
Another great shot by CDI
Great job !!
I knew it was CDI
Nice work
How long did it take to drill all the holes and load them?
It probably took a few weeks/months if I had to guess.
That was groovy in a far out happening kind of way.
So cool. Very clean
Nice well placed
That was a great Casino in its day
Please do this to the plaza tower in New Orleans
so everybody loves the end show... but there is probably a lot of engineering and prep work necessary to get the desired results! in this video I saw a structure that was not part of the original building (looked like a stabilizing structure) that helped fell the building in a direction? supposition, but my point... think of the prep and engineering... amazing
So this shot did not use any real "high tech" triggering devices...all just det cord and such for the timing and detonation of the charges ?
Reminds me of an architect's boast that his sports stadium design will last 300 years - brash, as none in the modern era have lasted more than 60 odd years, and even less if attached with the Olympics badge.
I thought we were going with a counter clockwise twist? Huh.
I saw the controlled implosion on the day of it from a ptz television camera
Laws of gravity are still in effect.
That debris pile looks ready for recycling!
Now this is a tall skyscraper implosion
Well done.
Thank you! Thanks for watching!
Every time there is a wide shots in those videos I hope to see someone not in the loop in a building nearby pop out of the window like what the fuck is happening xD
CDI showing the world how it's done once again
Cool demolition
So, when it's all over and done with......where does all that mess go?
The concrete is ground up and used again as aggregate in new concrete, the rebar wiring and other steel is recycled as best as it can be. That's really all that's left at that point, all the furnishings, fixtures and even windows are removed before demo.
WELL DONE!
Beautiful

All of them one would hope!

It was 'Playboy' before it was Harrah's.
Originally called the Harrah's at Trump Plaza when it opened in 1984.
And before that it was a 'Playboy' property.
Do demolition contractors purchase a one way plane ticket out of the country just in case something goes wrong? :-)
CDI, Best of the Best!
I saw it before in February 17 but I live in Atlantic City
What an art.
This was awsome
What goes up can come down. And it's quicker when it does!
I was waiting to see if CDI did the job
me too
Job well done.
Another perfect demolition.
*flashbacks to the Riviera from Las Vegas implosions*
sands go boom. dunes go boom. castaways go boom. landmark goes boom. new frontier goes boom. stardust goes boom. Aladdin goes boom.
Perfect view 1:03
I wish it still had Trump's name on the building.
And another building does the Loizeaux Twist.
And thus is the end of what was once called Trump Plaza, sponsor of Wrestlemanias IV and V and a victim of Trump somehow managing to compete WITH HIMSELF. The story of the swift demise of the casino is really a crazy one.
Perfect!
Now if they could just do this to all casinos.
