2nd video of yours 😊 I really am enjoying seeing how you use or save everything. Nothing drives me more crazy than when people just throw their leftovers away! You can pretty much always store food for later or repurpose.

Yay you are sweet to watch, thank you! Oh Yes I so agree, I grew up with a huge family so food waste was not an option ❤️ hehe I so agree, whatever we can’t goes to our chickens 🥰

This is my first time watching! I am working on my first low spend January and it’s been fun so far! I also love making chicken broth and canning it to use for later, I throw some onion skins in, it gives great color and flavor! Thanks for sharing!

Great tips for saving money and not wasting food. I cleaned out my refrigerator tonight and made fried rice with some chicken that was leftover and roasted potatoes for a side. It was delicious. Thanks for sharing the calzones, I’m going to make those this week. I’ve decided to start making bread from scratch again so that will be fun. I’m looking forward to trying a variety of doughs!

It's lovely to be back in the kitchen with you. You and baby girl did a fantastic job. The non meat one's looked absolutely delicious, but I will end up cooking both as I'm the only vegan in the house 😊. Have a wonderful week 💞

Good afternoon Torrie. Those homemade empanadas look absolutely delicious - perfectly coated as they are with olive oil and filled with provolone cheese and that ham sausage mix. Thanks for sharing another great recipe - and of course Happy 2023!! 😍❤

My ex-husband was italian. Get togethers with his family were amazing. We had bugna cauda often...it is so good....sounds terrible when you look at the recipe, but it is good. I still make it. We made some changes and use some cream in place of all the olive oil. You never left a family get together hungry...that's for sure😁 . My step mom used to make yeast roll with a wet dough...omg...they were amazing. Wish I had gotten her recipe....shes passed away now. Love being in the kitchen with you friend!!

I make some peasant bread that I could probably do the same way you do with your bread. I will have to give it a whirl and I will let you know. 😉. My sister-in-law’s family is from Lansdale, Pennsylvania and her great grandmother, etc. are Mennonite. She made a pork loin with sauerkraut for us. I have never had that before but it was delicious. She also calls her subs hoagies, her stuffing she calls filling and she makes shoofly pie. I don’t care for the pie. I sometimes take the rotisserie chicken from Walmart the next day after cooking. They go down to five dollars and the next day they go down to three. I make, chicken & dumplings, chicken salad etc. I most usually boil the carcass of any chicken or Turkey to make soup. My husband was sick last week with a cold, so the turkey I was going to make for New Year’s got postponed. But I had bought a ham and I used it for hash, for omelettes, for scallop potatoes, for potato soup and sandwiches. I froze the last of it. My buddy gave me a spiral ham for Christmas but I don’t think we’ll have ham for a while lol. My husband graciously shared his cold with me and I always get things worse than he does. My current situation is in the tub, with Dr Teals bubble bath. It’s the 2nd time today. Hopefully tomorrow I will feel better. I love seeing baby bellies! It’s working hard and needs to be seen every now and then. Thanks for posting Tori! Happy New Year! See you soon.

That's awesome you went directly to your local sources about food shortages. Good points about utilizing everything we have in our kitchens, and reducing waste as much as possible, or entirely. I make calzones sometimes, mine aren't always pretty, but they're tasty. Thanks for all the ideas and tips! You really help inspire me to press on! All the best to you and your family this year😊
