    Woke up this morning feeling confused and resentful.
    Went to make myself a cup of tea, and I have in my kitchen a little saucer that reads "but first, tea".
    My brain thought tea is nice, "but first, tapping". So I tapped through 2 videos from Brad and I feel so much better.
    Tea and tapping will be my new combo ;)
    Brad said you have a right to feel angry, but you also have a right to feel good. That really changed my perspective :)
    It sometimes baffles me that life gives us these complicated intense emotions to deal with, when the ultimate thing to do is letting them go.
    Thank you Brad for all the healing work you do 💖

    I loved the analogy of the broken leg. How many of us do go and let the doctor fix it and put a cast on it, but then (emotionally speaking of course) we keep that cast on forever more thinking we need it to keep our leg whole and well? But we're all just lamely limping through life dragging an old, smelly cast around with us. I want to kick off that cast and run freely through life. And you, Brad Yates, help so many people kick off so many casts! Thank you!

    It just dawned on me today how much of my current resentment that seems so baseless is actually connected to resentment I need to clear "all the way back through my past." Thank you for your wording on that. Sometimes we just don't realize how many Carry-ons of Crap we are lugging around!

    I wish the words "Thank you, Brad" could fully express the profound gratitude I have for you and for sharing your gifts with the world, but I say it out loud after every video, even though I don't leave it in the comments. I was introduced to tapping about 20 years ago, but I wasn't open minded enough to give it a whirl. Then I found you on UA-cam several years ago as I was becoming more spiritually aware and open minded. As the saying goes, "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." Or something along those lines. After I watched your first video, I really resonated with your approach. Since then, I have received many benefits from practicing your tapping techniques when I "practice regularly" and always look forward to more videos from you. (I'd like to emphasize the words "practice regularly," because like all other "practices," I realize if a person wants to receive benefits from a practice, one must make it a daily or regular practice/routine.). You are truly a blessing to all those who connect with you. Thank you, thank you, thank you for putting your awesomeness out there into the world and helping others, including myself, achieve their true potential for themselves and everyone else involved. =)

    Hey Brad. I really love your videos. They’ve been a resource I’ve turned to for years now.
    I recently started doing IFS - Internal Family Systems, where I listen to different parts of myself and develop relationships with those parts. EFT couples nicely with IFS. For instance I can do EFT on a resentful part of me as a way of listening to and communicating with that part of me. Maybe something to look into (if you’re not familiar with IFS)

    While doing this clearing, I found myself crying and hitting very hard…
    I realised I’m angry on myself for accepting to be treated this way and also thankful for the person that through this pain made me aware of who Am I truly …
    More than this I am feeling like there is not him or me , we just helped one each other to come back home …

    Your videos have gotten me through so much, Brad. Thank you! I do want to ask something related to this video. Have you already made or perhaps are you willing to make a tapping video on not necessarily releasing resentment, but a video on redirecting resentment into something helpful/positive such as a goal, hobby, tapping, etc. I have resentment with a few people in my past and personally, I want to hang onto it for right now. So feeling that the only way to deal with it is to release it sends me into a spiral of guilt of feeling like I'm stuck if I don't release it. But maybe that's not true. Maybe my resentment is there to be used as a tool to be redirected into things that will help me. Just a thought. Thanks!

    • @tapwithbrad
      @tapwithbrad  5 місяців тому

      If the resentment actually helps you, great - but that is rarely the case. It tends to distract us from where we could be doing something more beneficial, for ourselves and/or others. And I believe that as you give yourself permission to release resentment - because it feels good to do so, rather than because you "should" in order to avoid guilt - you will naturally redirect that newly available energy into something more positive. 😊

Feel like I can't escape this vicious cycle of discrimination and oppression. Can't even get a job. Been really angry lately at these people and it sucks and can't even afford counseling. Brad is it normal to start remembering what happened to you in the past? Like let's say school for example. While I was tapping in resentment on a particular person that bullied me I started getting flash backs. Is this normal or is it because since I've been practicing Tapping for weeks I'm suddenly getting the hang of it? My anger was really high today. I guess allot of people were getting angry at me today for no reason. Made me feel resentful etc. I tapped on this on who ever made me feel like crap. BAM. Felt better. Thank you Brad. You really save lives. Seriously. If I met you in person I'd give you a hug. :) Literally. ^_^ I'm going to therapy too. I'm tired of jerks telling me to seek mental help because I have anxiety etc. People can be such assholes sometime for people who are ACTUALLY trying to find help and heal them selves. Excuse the language. I'm like if you think you got it better off why not try spending your time in MY SHOES for a week? And see how they feel? Maybe they should tap on how the person with metal illness feels right Brad? :( Love your videos man. Keep them coming. ^_^

    • @tapwithbrad
      @tapwithbrad  2 роки тому

      As we tap, we often "peel the layers of the onion" and become consciously aware of things we might have suppressed. We can then tap to clear the discomfort around those and become more free.

    • @thebusybee7080
      @thebusybee7080 2 роки тому

      Anxiety is the true carry-on of crap. It tries to choke a person. It is so hard to move forward when having an anxiety episode. And one has to experiment to see what might work to decrease it. I had a series of "events" occur where I ended up feeling powerless and at the mercy of those around me. At first my episodes were like maybe an hour. Then they became longer and stronger. The tapping released a lot of it. But I tapped continually. There are two aspects of anxiety. One - the emotional and the other perhaps physically affected by some nutritional lack. I say this because I have always had to keep my potassium level up. I get an irregular heartbeat if my level is low. Low potassium can bring on mood swings. It can cause swollen legs, headaches. Read up on it. It is one of the most important elements in the body. For the past couple of months I have let my level drop due to poor eating habits. I use supplements but have gotten my potassium from food. It was like a big gong realizing why I am probably feeling so crappy. Going for a walk is such a simple thing. But it makes such a big difference. Try it. Sorry I got too chatty. I wish you the very best. Close your ears to those around you. And just keep moving.

      @@tapwithbrad It’s comforting to see your reply. Thank you for the positive vibes Brad 🙏 I ended up finishing after a long, numb pause. Then I saw the one for issues with mom and did that too. The clash was really about feeling my boundaries weren’t respected twice in one day. But because that time of the month started yesterday, I overreacted and didn’t back down. Neither did my mom. In the big picture, it was a small issue and I knew that in the moment, which is what made my mom’s long winded, manipulative response more frustrating. I’ve realized that it was all a symptom of deeper trauma around boundaries and not being heard.

    How do we know if we should express our resentment to those we think wronged us or just clear it through tapping etc? I don’t understand it.

      Communication is a good thing - especially if it a person you will continue to see. Tapping can help you get more clear so that you can find the best way to address it. Releasing emotional pain from someone's poor behavior doesn't mean increasing your tolerance and/or acceptance of that behavior - it just means you are giving yourself freedom even without needing their participation. I hope that helps.

    How many times do you recommend before a noticeable effect?

      For some, the relief will be noticeable right away - for others, because of the depth of the issue or underlying issues, it may take longer. I believe it is always working, but sometimes the effects may be too subtle to really notice.
