You should be tempted. It is a great piece of technology that really impressed me so far. Now I will compare it to the best wheelbases I have in a back to back to see how supreme it really is.
The only thing missing for me would be clutch paddles. Have Cammus said anything about that feature becoming available as an add-on or a future version? Is there any indication on the wheel hub that it is designed to accept a clutch paddle add-on at a later date? (Similar to the new EVO wheel by Thrustmaster)
They did mention they were worning on add-ons but have not specified what exactly. If I look at the current design, it would be hard to implement it in the current form though. They use cut-outs in the metal frame so they would need to replace the entire housing of it if they were to add the dual clutch. So I think it wont happen, at least not for the current version of the C12.
@@SimulatedDrivingResource Yeah, its really annoying. I made the mistake a few years ago of buying a TS-PC racer instead of the TS-XW, I didnt own a Xbox back then. But now, wanting to upgrade I want the option to be able to plug it in both
First comparison would be with a Thrustmaster T818 because I want to really see how good the C12 is when it comes to the ffb in game but yes, a comparison with the DDWB21 would also be a very good test! On the list. Thanks for the sugestion.
is the rim swappable with the button plate staying on the base and just the rim being changed for a more formula oriented wheel but the possibility to switch back when playing rally games and stuff
Yes. Button box is separate of the steering rim so you can just take it off and replace it with a rim with 70mm holes. Just need to make sure it will fit around the button box. Cammus will have a GTS wheel, which is more of a F1 style wheel but in theory, you can choose whatever rim you want
Yes. It has a standard 70mm attachment holes for the rim. You can put on a F1 wheel. Just make sure the frame of the rim fits around the buttons of the button box.
You won't regret it. Absolutely mindblowing innovative piece of hardware. Now the wait begins. I hope you didnt forget to put in the reduction code. Enjoy the roads friend!
Excellent review as always, I'm very tempted to order one of these

C12 seems great! Thank you for the very informative review!
It does indeed! Very welcome sir.
It's a really cool idea. Too bad I just picked up the Moza r5. Also, I got my old rig back. I'll be back soon, buddy!
That is exceptionally good to hear PJ. I am very happy to hear things are better. No more turtlewow then 🤭💙
@Neosphinx LOL. It's still here if the wife needs help, but ya.

The only things its missing are Xbox/PS support and clutch pedals on the wheel.
Other than that, it looks cool
Yeah... console market stays really annoyingly small. I really hope they (and others) can break open that market too

Does it work with formula style rim

More powerful motor, but larger steering wheel.
Very powerful motor indeed. I though the 30cm would be too small, but feels good to me.
Only game all cammus good is ACC !
I am very fond of it in BeamNG. What game didnt you like the C12 in?
@@SimulatedDrivingResource software and game support . I have ddwb15
Ah ok. Did you try the new update for the DDWB? They made some changes
