That yellow hill to the North West about 4 miles inland is Carman Muir the site of another Iron Age fortification large enough to fit the whole site at Dunadd within its walls. Unfortunately there has never been an academic excavation conducted on Carman Hill Fort

Thanks for this. I can't remember going right to the top, but it must be 40+ years since I was there. I don't remember seeing barrels in the powder magazine.
Perhaps more of it has been opened up since I was there.
