This was broadcast on BBC1 on Wednesday November 5th 1986 at 7pm. Don was filming "Down For The Count" part 2 in front of the Palms at Town & Country in Kendall.
Yup the BBC was pretty ahead of current tech always. These were leased satellite links by 1986 where the show would rent a link (at high cost!) for usually around 10 minutes . It bounced nearly live video but there was a few seconds of latency which made live interviews a bit dicey!
Why is it that Don Johnson was vilified during the eighties as if he was not a nice guy? He seems to be nice enough and well-articulate. I mean, he's entertaining and seems to have stories for days.
Good question I love him and Miami Vice and Nash Bridges but the first 2 seasons of Miami Vice made him very arrogant or call it an a-hole. He even mistreated Lt. Castillo (Ed James Olmas) the entire 2 seasons... so much so they both didn't look at eachother till season 3. You can watch Ed's interview on YT to confirm. I am saying this because Don himself acknowledged that his attitude with his co-stars from Miami Vice was not appropriate and he apologizes for it a few years back.
he was always nice to me I used to work on the beach he was shooting MV on and a man kept bugging me and he came over and saw it and he looked at Philip and smiled took out a thing of matches and did the trick on the guy that Burt Reynolds did on the movie Stick lol when the man sat down he suddenly stood up and Phillip said remember what happened to the man on the movie stick and there is two of us here so move alone and DJ said yeah beat it and the lady I was working for said thank you guys that jerk has been bugging her all day long DJ said I'm gonna see he don't come back
@@Ronbo710 Ufff, I don't think so, the second half of the season is better than the first half, but many people say the scripts are not good enough. First season is the best for sure.
@@itsmiamivicepal8617 yes, agree, but season 3 was still very good, season 4 had great and terrible episodes, and season 5 was batter, but nothing like the first two
@@itsmiamivicepal8617 I agree, season one and two are the best seasons ,season three was still good with the introduction of the white Tesla and the hair was good until season four. The episodes got weak and the hair got too long. Although the end of season 4 where Crockett became his drug-dealing alter-ego was a interesting twist. After that the series seemed to have ran out of material.

One of the coolest men to ever exist
Cool and gorgeous!!!
Dommage que le temps efface sa beauté, il ne reste que les souvenirs... ❤
Cool tech back in 1986 just like the live video call as we do today.

I think the entrainment news liked to paint him as a bad boy. It’s a more dramatic image and it sells more stories.
I bet he was filming the end shootout scene on "Down For The Count"
Season 3 was always my favorite.
I was thinking that myself. Sad that it was the end of John Diehl.

MIAMI VICE jump the shark season 3
I agree, the show was never the same after "Sons & Lovers" The Michael Mann era, seasons 1&2 was when it was at its best.
@@5eurocups2005 I agree about S1 and S2 being the best. Season 3 just didn't have the same vibe and atmosphere. Neither did Crockett's hair. Haha
The DON JOHNSON show by season 3.
