@@fortheloveofnoise I'd say the '91 Sentra was better than a '91 Corolla or '91 Civic. By 1994, the last year of the body style, the Corolla and Civic had beaten out the Sentra again. Purchased a 2 door XE in April, 1992 after graduating college. Loved it, and fun to drive with the 5 spd. Great review as always from MW. Thanks for posting.

Didn't these stay in production for the Mexican market until about 7 or 8 years ago??? Anyways hell of a run for rather bland but very well built Japanese econobox.
Don't like the power steering? Get an E model! Power steering-free! :) Seriously love the B13 Sentra. Had a base E model for a bit and it was so fun. I'd love another B13.

Although the engine is different in the 4th gen that came after these 3rd gens, I swear it sounds the same, just bought a 98 Sentra 1.6 manual and it sounds just like the 91 here 2:10
The XE's seats were not nearly as nice. Pretty much everything else was the same though. Rusted too easily along the rocker panels. But pretty good car! Quite reliable.
i drove a 91 xe 2 door 5 speed manual for 27 years, the front suspension arms rusting away were what made me have to finally get rid of it, very sad because the engine still ran like a champ and it had no major issues other than the rust. it was insanely reliable over the years and pretty cheap to fix when it did have problems. the seat cover material of my XE was indeed different than the GXE model shown in this video but the i think the seats of my XE were more comfortable for long distance driving than newer mid-range car seats are. kind of wish i would have kept those seats and turned one into my office desk chair lol

@deprecationannounced claro entre 1992 y 1994 era un auto de gama media pero después del 1994 paso a ser de gama baja por todo el abaratamiento que le hicieron

This Sentra was the best version ever. It actually equaled and exceeded the Corolla of this generation.
Yea, but not the Civic.

These had great engines. The SER was ahead of it's time.
Always did admire this generation, and still do
Mexico really took that admiration to the next level, and I don't blame them!

Almost 40mpg in '91...without a hybrid set up!!!
But it's a deathtrap.

More reliable than the new Altima CVT shit!!
You can get the base model Versa with a manual transmission. The Versa is basically the modern day equivalent of the Sentra of the 90s and before.
I had one of these. I lost count of how many times it needed new CV boots. A design flaw kept causing them to tear.

I'd say about 50% are Nissans Sentra or versa, or similar.
