My maternal lineage hails from Clarksville, TN. I'm very proud of that fact. Shout out to the Meriwether's and Murphy's. R.I.P. to the late Great Ms. Wilma Rudolph!
Wilma has been a lifetime inspiration for me. It has been a pleasure to call myself a fan of one of the greatest female athletes in history. Thanks for posting this.
Thank you for making this video clip and posting it. I admire Wilma Rudolph for what she did with her life and for being true to herself. Hearing what her former coach said about her confirmed all that.
Let me guess, she did not kneel in protest at the playing of the National Anthem during her three awards ceremonies in protest of any racism that she faced in her small southern town. She did not try to force her views onto people instead she led by example, earning people respect.
