Back in 1992. As a young Missionary I was asked by a faithful investigator, to give her a Priesthood Blessing. She said to me: if you heal me I will not have to get a surgery. I promise you I will join the Church. For the first time I felt frightened. I knew that the scriptures were full of marvelous miracles. But I looked myself and I thought. I am just a boy with no experience. The size of the tumor was like a tennis ball. I don't remember the words I said. But she was healed by the power of God! She never had to go through surgery. She joined the Church and she's still alive!!

Cristian Perez Reminds me of a time about 3 years ago when I was told by a doctor that I'd have to have ear surgery. I'd had bad ear aches all summer and they said I had a ear drum that burst. Well I didn't have very good health insurance at the time and anyways a home teacher gave me a blessing. I was still assuming I'd have to get surgery and be super poor over it. But oddly enough I went back in and the doctor then said there wasn't a broken ear drum at all. In fact there was just fluid on the ear drum and it probably came from swimming in a lake. Yeah I haven't gone swimming in a lake since then either.

Also reminds me of a time when I had broncitis and it wouldn't leave. As soon as I got a blessing it was gone in a few days. Many who'd had broncitis and pneumonia were shocked. Because it doesn't go away that quickly at all. Ever since these incidences I'm very into getting blessings. The guys in my college ward are probably starting to wonder what's up. Actually I don't ask that often, but when I do it's serious business.

i showed my mom this video today and she told me a story."It was a Friday night and we were at my brothers football game.He was playing against a very tough team and he went to block a field goal.An opposing player hit him in the legs and my brother fell head first directly into the ground like a pencil.Unconscious on the floor, he was rushed to the hospital.Motionless in the emergency room, my mom asked my stepdad to give him a blessing. After receiving the test results, there was nothing wrong.

I went to this conference when Elder Holland gave it. I was with my dad and I still feel the spirit when I read or hear this talk. It takes me back to how strong the Holy Ghost bore witness to me. I cry and feel that power each time I watch this message. What a great talk!

I first heard this story years ago from my Child Development professor at BYU- Idaho, Sister Edwards,,, A.J.'s mom. It's amazing seeing a Mormon Message created from the experience. It truly strengthens my testimony of the power of the Priesthood and the importance of remaining sanctified because you will never know when the Lord will have need of you to do His work.

For those of you harping on the spiritual nature of this message, I personally KNOW AJ Edwards, and have heard from him and those there that he was in fact struck, he did receive a blessing, and he knows in his heart and personal beliefs that the blessing given is what saved his life. God helps those who help themselves, so yes, the medical expertise should not and cannot be ignored, but the fact remains, God's healing power was there that day.

It's not only important to be worthy to hold the Priesthood, but also to be trained in CPR. If neither of those men knew CPR, that child would probably be dead, or revived by the emergency personnel. Courses are cheap or free, and a very practical way to save someone's life. I say we not only give credit to the young Elder, but also to the sports professionals who were properly trained and prepared to save the boy's life.

And this video has helped me to remember my duty as a priesthood holder. God has been a great blessing in my life and I know he is watching over each and everyone of us. He does and will always love you and wants you to come back to him. I know the spirit will help us through hard times and comfort us. You all are children of heavenly father and Jesus Christ. may god lead you through life and be yourself.

As Elder Holland stated, the trained medical people on the scene was truly a blessing. However, what a blessing that the power of the Priesthood was also available to be a witness to God's power. For you skeptics, you are always invited to put the Lord's promises to the test. We all must prayerfully seek our own answers from God himself as we study, learn and ask for Divine guidance..

This is how it works, people: We believe in medical science, prayers of faith and priesthood blessings. When we do all we can, God does the rest. That is what Elder Oaks said in his talk about healing the sick. So, yeah, the EMTs oughta be thanked. And the young man who lived worthily enough to do great things in the name of the Lord oughta be thanked. We're not stingy with the thanks, here! The idea is that the power of the priesthood can change things for the better when we're worthy.

God is not cruel, he does not wish to hurt us. But in our life, we will need problems to solve, fears to overcome, even though we suffer, god loves us more than anything. He provides us things we need to deal with; not for entertainment or torture, but it is the way we learn and get experience. He is trying to help us live and learn the gospel so we can always be happy and we can become kings and queens of the gospel. He is preparing us.

I just want to say that I love what you have said and it is so true. It saddens me to see that there are people out there that would downright blame the Lord and choose not to see or believe in reasons why their loved died because the Lord had a purpose for them. One day I hope these people will soften their hearts and be willing believe and have faith and trust in the Lord and in that belief of those reason(s) as to why the Lord did take their loved ones from this Earth. Yes it is sad they have died but one of the true happiness is the fact that we will see them again. 😃 That is what is so great about the gospel of Jesus Christ that He has made this happen for all of us. All we have to do is live accordingly to have that gift. And another thing and I hope you won't take offence in what I am about to say. It is my pet peeve to see the Lord's titles being lower cased. Will you change the first letter of his titles please. Thank You. 😃

I believe that God intended for those medical professionals to be there, but He also intended to give Bryce that experience to teach him about the priesthood that he held. God loves all of His children, and He has compassion on all of them, even if they do not know it. All of our trials and difficulties in this life are meant to lead us to turn to Him, that He may bless us.
