An architect's modern house overlooking the Turin hills - FL Architetti (Tour of the house)

Casa Y, located in the Turin hills, recalls the Piedmontese farmhouse in plan. Its Y shape divides the house into two zones, the public one where the living area is present and overlooks the wonderful landscape, and the private one with the sleeping area which extends for 30 meters.
The interior design consists of specific materials that recall nature, such as the floor and all the wood finishes. Much of the material from the construction site is reused to create the fireplace surround, the dining table top and other elements that characterize the house. Even the concrete, with its natural color, blends perfectly with the colors of the wood and the modern design furniture.
The external design recalls the internal one. Concrete walls and a flat roof give character to this house that juts out from the hill. The living area faces the valley, positioned towards the south, allowing the vision of a spectacular landscape that changes from season to season. The sleeping area is also characterized by large glass walls to take advantage of natural light as well as the splendid view. The windows are protected by sunscreens, which in turn protect from the strong summer light and allow the low winter light to penetrate, also designed to create shadow shapes that change at every hour of the day.
The stunning home has a timeless style. Simple and effective lines that combine past forms with modern ones creating a welcoming home that provides a very high quality of life and interconnected with nature.
