That’s always a challenge for beginners. Your fingers don’t have the control quite yet. Just keep at it. Eventually try to play some basic scales for practice.
Buddy this is for beginners 😂😂 just keep practicing don’t get frustrated and whatever you do DONT QUIT, record yourself when you play and you will see the progress from when you started to where you are now and you will feel more motivated
Ty for this video, it was extremely confusing at first because im new but I was able to get it down within 50 min, still working on the note changing tho
Another brand to check is Godin. The guitar I’m playing for this video is Art and Lutherie, which is now part of Godin I think?? Anyway, they make higher end budget guitars, if that’s a thing lol. They make affordable higher quality guitars.
Try taking this lesson then come back to Leray. Super Beginner Guitar - Simple Chords, Pic Holding, and String Names ua-cam.com/video/YmAyol3YrK8/v-deo.html
KING BLAZE ur just gonna have to experiment with holding your guitar and stuff. Get a feel for it and then keep working on playing the chord till it sounds good. That’s what I did when I began.
I don’t know anything about a guitar but I’ve been imagining myself being the one with the guitar every time I listen to a song especially this one. Can someone please tell me what guitar to buy and from where I really want one.
I have some links in my description box. One goes to an Art and Lutherie guitar similar to the one I have. They are great guitars and last a long time. The one I play in this video is about 16 years old.
Go into a guitar store and play them, whichever one speaks to you the most go ahead and get it. It’s better to go and strum it in person than to just buy a random one online. I bought mine back before quarantine and I’m glad I did, I learned to play guitar and it’s probably the best decision I’ve made in my life so far. I love it.
Make sure to keep enough arch on your fingers so that you are playing with your fingertips. You want to focus all that energy into pressing the strings down solidly into the frets.
Serious question tho my fingers have indents from playing and they hurt could that be holding back the quality of my chords and string playing? They’ve been like this since yesterday.
Good question. With slides I always tell people to only press hard enough to hear the slide. If you press too hard you may get stuck. Press too light and you won’t hear the slide.
It’s a great tutorial but holy shit I’ve been trying this for 5 days now and I can’t get it just because my index finger is too big to bar the D and G string
That’s a really good question. I think with this slide what you should do first is forget about the slide. I would say play the riff as normal but instead of sliding up to the note just put your finger directly onto that note and don’t even slide to it and just play it. Then after you get comfortable doing that and feeling that fret on your finger, then try messing around sliding up to it. This way you are learning the muscle memory first and then sliding into the muscle memory position.
In other words just forget the slide for a while and just play that note directly. Do that a bunch of times and then mess around trying to slide into position.
A “classical” guitar is also an acoustic guitar technically. But in this video I am using a steel string acoustic. Thank you for partaking in my daily guitar knowledge tips 😂
Luthdrix Yes I am muting the A string but the chord doesn’t have that striking feel to it. The 6th fret D string sounds off and I have tuned my guitar. I’m stuck on if it’s my technique or just the guitar.
Anyway I can hire u to recreate a UA-cam instrumental it’s all acoustic the producer disappeared and I’m trying to get it recreated for a project $ in hand and ready please lmk where I can reach you business wise

This made me really want to learn how to play the Acoustic guitar now ... do you think an $80 Rogue starter is cut out for this ?
It might be. I’m unfamiliar with that guitar. I usually try to steer people toward Yamaha or Ibanez for low budget acoustics.
Luthdrix Ah okay, I’ll definitely look into it thanks !
Rogue isn’t the best I see rouges 200$ and with bad reviews like he said stick to ibanez/fender

Don’t get a rogue get an epiphone instead they’re affordable and better quality than rogue
Pretty easy one feels really cool to play though

How do u slide so effortlessly???
Years of practice. Stay loose but precise.
Is this with standard tuning?
i have to pluck 6 and go up to 5 for some reason instead of 7 to 6
I can not get that bar chord to sound right. I even tried it without barring by itself with my first and second finger still sound like off
pluck = pick

Yeah, it like fuzzes right? Vibrates too much
🙌🏽
I mean it’s good ya but when you try to learn it with the tabs the way you have it set up makes confusing it doesn’t make sense
How do you mute the A string?
Really any way that is comfortable. Probably the easiest way is to use the top of your index finger.
