Great video that really captures the atmosphere of the morning and the beauty of this parkrun. Thanks for mentioning us, and it was exciting to see ourselves on film!
Another stunning parkrun - I loved the views and the avenue of trees. What an amazing boat lift and I love the horses - they have one of those near Marble Arch in London I think. Thanks for sharing.
Another great video, Nicola. Wearing mascara in the rain ! 😆 That was hilarious. Well done on finishing your alphabet. Interestingly I met some Scottish runners recently who said that they were struggling to get a B which must be the most common letter in SE England. The only B in Scotland is Bressay in the Shetland Islands. I was going to have a ride on the Falkirk Wheel last time I was in Scotland but I arrived too late in the day so it is on the cards for next time. Thanks for posting about the Kelpies. I hadn’t heard of them.
Hey Nic! Great vid, thanks. Congratulations on your alphabet! I was more excited to see your take on the Kelpies and the wheel than the parkrun, to be honest, as they're the reason I've chosen Falkirk for my first ever Scottish parkrun, in six week time! Queen's parkrun does look pretty good, to be fair, but I'm sure Falkirk will be great too. #dfyb 🙂
Great video. I've done it once- it's savage. Great park and tea room in the church. There used to be a 16 mile race in the area and it finished by going up the steps then up to the top of the tarmac path - brutal but so much fun.
Well done on your thing Nicola! 🥳 I also did a thing completing my 100th parkrun at Horton Park. Included a rare top 10 finish for extra satisfaction. Adored the Kelpies when I visited two years ago, have yet to visit the canal there but it looks wheely cool!
Well done, it's not easy to get some of those letters! I'm only on 52% for alphabet - but then I've only been parkrunning a year. Z is the issue. I can't believe that I'm genuinely likely to go to Poland in order to get it (and a new flag on my profile). At least this is a hobby that gets my travelling!
Such a fun weekend! I’m a bit torn about the hangover aspect… I’m quite au fait at using parkrun as a cure, but I realise you’re perhaps not as familiar with that sort of plan… Still, you did allude to the idea that it might have enhanced your appreciation of the laps?😳😅😬
Well done on completing your (first) alphabet! I've done all the letters that I can in Poland (Polish alphabet doesn't even have Q). Where did you go for your Z?
if you are looking for hilly parkruns as i am there is Bolton watched it last night on here by a runner known as the running whale that is on my to do list
good one at Glossop today knocked 3 mins of my best getting 22 mins finishing 16th out of 140 tommorrow ye ha Roundhay park half marathon and i will have my 25 park run T shirt on as another way is i will be doing the total of 4 park runs in one race
@@NicolaRuns fab half marathon at Roundhay park today again i got 1h46 same as April struggled a bit first 2 laps but found my speed lap 3 with 5k and 10k runners there it was easy to overtake so many of them came 90th out of 519 runners in the half in total number of runners at event was 1197
Lol... I'm not sure if it came across but I never just go somewhere for parkrun and leave. They're little mini breaks and I explore the world using parkrun as an anchor. Luckily my mum moved to Scotland last year so we were staying with her. She recently had a hip operation so it was so lovely to visit 😃 it wasn't just a drive to Glasgow for a parkrun 🙃 Although I totally appreciate that there are people who would do this. There's a reason it's taken me 16+ years to complete this challenge 😜

So great to see you guys, what a really lovely surprise! 🥰🤗

It's gorgeous and don't believe the rumours of how hilly it is. It's not flat but it's not too bad 😃

Ooh I'm in love with the Kelpies, I think they're stunning! Lol about the B... I've got sooooooo many 🤣 It's crazy how long my alphabet took me! 😳

Ooh yay, you've got an awesome trip in store then! Fingers crossed you get the weather. It's honestly epic, the Kelpies were my favourite 😍😍😍
Loved the first timers briefing, he was wonderful 🎉
Wasn't he?! I had such a smile on my face 😃

Oh my goodness that sounds evil!!! I'd love it! 🤣🤣🤣
Well done on your alphabet. Finished mine a couple of weeks back too.
Ooh yay! Congratulations 🎉 And thanks 🤗
Brilliant video. The parkrun looks lovely and the features in Falkirk are fantastic. Huge congrats on the alphabet!
Thanks so much! It took me a while but I finally made it 😃😃😃
Great video 😁 Queen's Belfast parkrun is actually named after Queen's University Belfast. There's no Queens's Park in Belfast!
Ooh no way! That's funny that they called it that then! Thanks for the info 😃
Congrats Nicola, the full alphabet, great achievement. It does always rain in Scotland - I'm there now and it started raining an hour after I arrived
This really made me laugh 🤣 and thanks, the full alphabet has taken me a fair while!
Well done on your thing Nicola! 🥳 I also did a thing completing my 100th parkrun at Horton Park. Included a rare top 10 finish for extra satisfaction.

It was Wheely cool 🤣🤣🤣 but I loved the Kelpies more 😍 thanks and congratulations on your 100th! 😃
Great video. Congratulations on your alphabet!
Thanks and thanks! 😃😃😃🤗
This would probably be by nearest Q living in the North West. 3 laps and hilly 🤦🏻♀️ Loved the video! 👍
Thanks 🤗 Lol... It's so much better than it sounds🤣🤣🤣
Congratulations Nicola 🎉🎉
Thank you 🤗😃
Great video Nicola & congrats on becoming a Alphabeteer. 👏
I still have 8 letters to go, but this will be the parkrun I visit to get my Q.
Thanks, can't believe it's taken me so long 😳😳😳 Enjoy it when you visit, it's ace! 😃
congrats on completing your Alphabeteer Nicola! You're a few ahead of me but I do have this Q on my list so really handy to see what we're in for.
Thanks 😊 It's hilly but you'll love it! 😍
Woohoo! Congratulations Alphabeteer! 🥳🎊
Thank you 😃 I made it eventually! 🎉🎉🎉
😂 it always rains in Glasgow! Thanks for the video, it looks like a lovely parkrun
It seems like you're right?! 🤣🤣🤣
If you come back over the border, you should do Plean parkrun, hilly but an amazing course.
@@shirleylowe8045 ooh, thanks for the recommendation 🤗
Congrats 🎉
Thank you so much 😃😃😃
Well done, it's not easy to get some of those letters!

Z is the issue. I can't believe that I'm genuinely likely to go to Poland in order to get it (and a new flag on my profile). At least this is a hobby that gets my travelling!
Yes yes yes! It's the best hobby for exploring the world and meeting fantastic communities across the globe 😃 I got my Z in Poland 🎉
Oh the kelpies ❤
I'm obsessed! They're amazing 🤩
The run brief & first timers' welcome are held in a very similar performance area or bandstand at Clitheroe Castle.
I was thinking of exactly that!!! I love the run brief there! It's the perfect place for it! 😃
Q was only my ninth different parkrun letter! It was at Quakers Walk in Devizes. (Currently on 40% of my alphabet.)
Still, well done on your alphabet!
Thanks 🤗 I only need Q, U and Z for a second alphabet 😳
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 well done!
Thank you 🤗🤗🤗
@@NicolaRuns Sweden next month then it's Portugal 🤞🏻before Lisbon half
@@royce_runs I've never been to Portugal... I can't wait to parkrun there!!! 😃
@@NicolaRuns half marathon looks awesome. Hoping parkrun gets sorted in time though.

I'm not sure I'm excited about getting more practice at running on a hangover! Saturday nights are fit drinking... parkruneve is sacred! #notacult 🤣
Hi Nicola here is a Q in Devizes Wiltshire called Quakers Parkrun.
Oh yes! I forget about that, it's only a year old or something isn't it. Still... Probably quicker for me to get to London 🤔
22:57 Not sure I’d want to go for a dip in the “wee jetty”.
No, I'm not sure I would either... 😳😳😳
Right by my flat ❤
That's cool! I absolutely loved this park/parkrun 😃

Lancashire is full of hilly ones like Bolton: Hyndburn, Haigh Hall, Pendle, Lancaster and especially Witton. It's why we do so much tourism!! 😂
@@cameronashton7150 i have run at Witton park 20 years ago with the 10k i remember it been very hilly

i am suprised that is not a parkrun at the Queens park Rochdale ie Saturday one
That would be good!
