and while boeing itself tweeted "congratulations to airbus on the first flight of its a320neo, a milestone for the entire industry", its fanboys are minimizing this step forward.
It's to be expected. Folks that work at both companies understand these each other more then anyone else could. You compete like hell but at the end of the there is mutual respect for other professionals in the industry.
***** no one's saying this is a new aircraft. please read a little more. the beauty of this is the 20% in fuel savings achieved through a series of mods which include new engines. thanks goodness this is not a plane from the 60s.
First of all I'm a Boeing fanboy but Airbus is bringing some top notch competition. The A320 Neo and A350 especially I'm impressed with. I still personally pefer the 777x, and the 737 MAX though. Airbus you got a like from me :)
As an Airbus Fanboy I could have say the very same thing but the opposite way ! :) In the end, all of those machines are engineering marvels ! Its unusual to have a fanboy admiting the value of competitors !

The Neo is the smoothest aircraft I've ever been on its so quiet the seats are nice and comfortable with great space and need I mention the take off power and speed at which it can asend to cruzing altitude WOW its unreal the power this aircraft has with its huge turbine engines.
As a Boeing 737 biased person, I must say the Airbus A320 has proven itself to be a formidable aircraft and must say that Airbus outdid Boeing and its 737 with the A320neo. My commendations to Airbus in creating an exceptional aircraft and a true 21st century #flagship .
@randy1189 I still am a Boeing guy, but I agree that most certainly did not hahaha. From the perspective of working with them, I prefer an Airbus, but from a traveling perspective, I prefer a Boeing.

The massive engines deserve to be put in perspective: we're talking a 2.06 m fan diameter - so much larger not only than the previous CFM56 and V2500 but also the PW2000 and RB211 that power the Boeing 757 - Think about that! And wait until you see the planetary reduction gearbox and the coaxial contra-rotating shaft or spool architecture.
Well the core A320 design has been around for decades and Airbus are obviously very comfortable with it. The main testing point of the Neo will be the integration of new engines into the rest of the aircrafts systems.
These machines will leave Boeing behind, the 737 design is at the end of the line, 50 yr design, done well but it's now old & outdated. The Max will revitalize it for now but I suspect this will be end of the line for it where as the 'Bus' is really starting to get fresh legs with the 321 NEO carrying 240 bums over 4000nm!!!!!!:-)
hey i think in my opinion: a320neo family is better at smaller aircraft, a350 also dominates the category. However, when you move to larger aircraft, i prefer the 777x or the 747-8. All are great and leading innovation.
@above (sorry can't use the + thingy cuz I'm on mobile) Currently the engines for the 777-300ER/200LR are the biggest in the world since 2002 so those engines are GE90-115b. The Airbus A350 which uses RB XWB engines that are not about the same though.
david styles 1.It's Boeing with an "e" not "Boing", 2. The fact that you can't spell Boeing right means your doing nothing but stirring shit and 3. If you prefer Boeing's techniques and planes why come to Airbus's channel?
Those engines look massive, congratulations to Airbus!
So much bigger than the IAE V2500 engines on the older A320's!

What about Boeing’s 737 max... your move Airbus.
As someone with no A vs B bias, the A320 proved itself as a strong 737 competitor decades ago.

@@bradsuhr7538 Airbus did the move, Boeing responded... And horribly failed.

02:29 unpainted British Airways A380 in the background
Couldn't hear the engine sound! what an aircraft! I'm so happy and proud to be an all time AIRBUS fan.
😂😂
It's awesome that this happened today Om my 18th birthday :) i share a day with something amazing
Love the Airbus A320 family planes! They looking always very nice! I flying the most with the A319 or A320. Always a nice flight with them.
I always preferred Airbus and A320 will completly kill the 737 even its MAX version.
john morrison the max killed itself lol
Granted in 2019
@TheXXDestroyer Its true

Can't wait to see it in Hamburg. Beautiful machine.
I can't wait to see her in New York for my home town airline JetBlue airways
Captain Manny Hornedo
I guess he meant the A320 neo will be built at Hamburg Airbus plant:-)
I know he's one lucky guy tho ;)

Awesome flight video of A320Neo!
Let's go airbus!!! Can't wait for JetBlue A320 neo got ta love this plane

Damm that's quiet passed noise regulations with no effort. Some very big engines on that little frame
looks absolutely awesome with those huge ge9.. erm pw1000, and those air-to-air shots are stunning :D

Did anyone see that A380 in the background on 2:30
Around 2:30 there is an unfinished BA a380 taxiing in the background
The fact they dressed up like they were going to mars 💀
Well Incase the plane crashes they are identified that's wat I think 🤷
I love Airbus
Airbus A320family me too
I like AIRBUS A320neo
1:26 What a very cool plane!
Best selling jetliner of all time, the A320, bitter to swallow for some but it's a fact😋
And d rest is history ....
Really big engines! looks like a small 777
AIRBUS 💎🇪🇺
Any chance of a cabin takeoff video? I am interested in hearing what this plane sounds like!
I wonder if you'll be able to still hear the howl of the FOPP cavities under the wings. I hope so.
2:30 a British airways a380 without the body painted.
In my memory, the 1st flight test should NOT go with gear up. Right?
Well the core A320 design has been around for decades and Airbus are obviously very comfortable with it. The main testing point of the Neo will be the integration of new engines into the rest of the aircrafts systems.
2:30 Look at that A380! How can BA fly like that? Or is it a model there still building?
It‘s still unpainted. It was still in testing, maybe taxi tests on the runway
2:30, British Airways A380 :P
Congratulations Airbus :)
Hype for the a330neo
Amazing Aircraft! I just finished building a model version of the A320neo and uploaded it to UA-cam :)
Given the choice, I'd put a bird on the line that has actual yokes that move in unison and not side sticks that are hidden by the other crew member.
Awesome!
Please make a flight arrival at peru
When i fly
Airbus 😌
Boeing 😳
Well that's silly.
What airline will get the first A320neo?
Qatar Airways
Can't for when JetBlue gets their neo
Lion Air
No it's not for goodness sake!!
Hello Selmin, Qatar Airways will get the first A320neo.
Engines in my view are much bigger
The new engines are like mini GE90's. :)
Best aircraft ever!
+airbus when will AirAsia get it's A320 NEO and A350
What is the song called
When will IndiGo Receive their first NEO??
Lol
Oliver Leong wat's the reason for your lol??
just recieved their first one
what camera that takes the plane video a helicopter another plane I dont know please tell me
they use a small plane for in flight video but they use helicopters when on airport
Awesome, im exited to fly on one :)
Bravo Europe! Americans do you know where Toulouse ever is?
What is the name of music?
I cant wait to ride on this bird.
Are these engines very quiet?
so...... where are the flight attendants?
How long have you been working on this project?
Hawaiian Airlines is getting these in 2017
I preffer the Airbus A321neo with Pratt Whitney engines
How did they film the plane?
I‘m not too sure but I think they used cameras
Nah jokes aside they have aircraft equipped with cameras following the aircraft, they are known as chase planes
Amazing
I just love airbus wish was there
i felt like they came back from space !
I love this plane. A european 'super plane'...
Who is here because of Flight Sim 2020?
Espero q o B737 nunca mais volte a voar
qué maravilla!!
Magnifique !!!!!! pourquoi je suis pas pilote !!!!!!!!!! quel métier fabuleux
Están bien bonitos todos sus aviones 👌🧐✈️🍷
So beautiful
Andrew Anane majestic
Andrew Anane you are beautiful
Would have been nice if they'd updated the cockpit too...just saying. (I guess we'll leave that up to Apple and Samsung)
A major point of the A320 is its type rating which it has throughout the family. What did you expect!?
@@spongebubatz I expected nothing, but was hoping for 350/380 advances over the old crt screens.
Those are some BIG engines. You can see why they can't fit on a 737.
They can if you change the ground clearance or make the engine flat lol
All 737's from 300 series to today's has the flat bottom so it can fit.
Can u please make A390
does anyone knows why do test pilots always wear a bright orange jumpsuit?
My guess is to make them easily identifiable to emergency crews and to prevent any loose or restrictive clothing in case of an emergency.
Because they would silly in pink ones.
I want aircraft of Saudi Arabian Airlines 320 or 330
Great...!!!
very good
737 MAX Killer
Those orange suits are a bit disturbing: They are dressing for death!
Airbus, are you serious???? The cockpit of the neo is 100% the same as the current a320!!!!!!
A320 New Engine Option, not New Cockpit Option....
That’s the point, pilots can switch from the A320 to the A320neo and back whenever they want, what did you expect?
I trust Airbus...my trust for Boeing is dying. I'll fly any reliable aeroplane as long as it isn't Boeing.
Hmm.
