  • You can build this mobile scrap bin in less than a day with minimal tools. This shop project will keep all of your cutoffs and scrap pieces of wood organized in one place. The ability to move the mobile scrap bin around your shop will ensure that you always have whatever you need right at your fingertips. There are a bunch of different versions out there, this version will allow you to customize the size based on the size of your shop.

I LOVE the name of your channel. I'm 58 and when I was a kid in the 60s I can remember my grandfather using two bits when referring to money. Just a slang word his father, my great-great-grandfather, used when he was a boy and never stopped using it. What a great little build!! I love those Woodpecker corner clamps, but a $50 for two!? YIKES!

Thank you so much for the kind words! It was just something that stuck for me. Lots of different meanings for sure. I appreciate you watching and hope you enjoyed it and my other videos.

Just what I was looking for. I liked and subscribed, and ordering your plans. I plan to check out the rest of your plans. I like simple straight forward designs! Why is most complicated? When simple will work just as well. We are building for a work shop not a living room! Thank you, Great Job.

Great project to customize the ever important shop storage. I have racks but this setup for smaller pieces is great! Thanks for the video.

Vertical storage seems to be the way to go for the smaller cutoffs. Easier to pick through and organize! Glad you liked the video.

I like the looks of this rack, and I currently need to build something similar. What are it’s dimensions?

Hi thanks for watching. It’s about 32 wide by 18 deep. I have plans available on my website.

Cool video brother. I need to make one for the shop as well. Going to have to look into the woodpeckers box clamps. Looks like it helped a lot. Keep it up!!!

Komar Project they are awesome! One of those tools you didn’t know you needed until you have them.

Great video! I think its a lot easier storing wood this way, currently I have my wood on some racks. Makes it really cumbersome to pick and pull pieces out. Nice build!

Glad you like the build! I have a very small shop and this helps to keep all the small pieces in one place. We all hoard all the scraps anyway, why not keep them organized too?

You definitely fit a lot of equipment into a small space, and seems like you fit it all in nicely. Keep up the good work. See you haven't posted any videos lately. Hopefully you'll have some coming soon.

Thanks Greg, always a work in progress. I've actually been working on a huge project over the last few months. Now that it is wrapped up, I will be working on the video and then back to the shop!

I wish you had shown how you aligned your center piece from the back where the screws go. Not many makers shows stuff like that.

I just measured across the back and then drew a line from top to bottom at the center.
