The Golf sports is a nice addition, but to be honest, Nintendo Switch Sports still needs _more_ sports.
And to feel a little more like a Wii sports sequel rather than a standalone sports game
This game was just an overall bummer, not enough content and didn’t even have it’s most iconic game on launch.
Not even worth the £30 quid when Mario Golf has slightly more and better actual content and you can just play Wii Sports/Resort for free if you still have it lmao

While I do have fun with what's here, this could've been so much more. The progression is focused almost entirely on earning new fits, you'd think they would've had a small city section to explore where you could see other players sort of how Splatoon does it.
Exactlyy i like the addition of cosmetics to customise your character, but they literally built spocco square....only for it to not even be explored further which was such a missed opportunity. They even have info in the loading screens about the different buildings and places you can shop but you cant even explore that ;-;

It's so cool that Nintendo is adding golf after half a year! So amazing, especially considering that 14 years ago we had almost double the sports that we have now :D
Most the sports in resort played like minigames. Wakeboarding, basketball, skydiving, frisbee. All either lame or simple

@@thetoptige8014 They’re the literal sport. Soccer probably has the most depth included in any sport game. Especially when you compare it to Wii’s Baseball or Tennis.

Oh wow the long awaited update for a sport that's already been the original Wii Sports and Resort from the very beginning, I'm sure the 7-month wait was worth it!

I can literally just go boot up golf in either Wii Sports or Wii Sports Resort right now, and in fact I have played Golf there since this game released, so this update is literally pointless for me lol.

@@Fdatubeofyou yes they should have delayed why are you ok with them releasing unfinished games when they do this they use the sales from the game to add the next part that should’ve been in the game from day 1 which means if it doesn’t sell well they can just cut content that would have been in the game from day 1 it’s anti consumer
You should be able to pick a default look for each sport. Specifically soccer matters because it changes the look to your team color and not every option looks good in red or blue only.
i have more hope for this game now that i know they’re adding more sports. i hope they add boxing or more sports from wii

I remember I said there should be a swim mode especially because the joycons are much better the Wii remotes in terms of motion detection
The type of game you're looking for is Go Vacation. It is incredibly reminiscent of Wii Sports (it originally launched on the Wii but has since then been ported to the Switch with various changes and graphical improvements) and allows you to explore the resorts openly and even has stuff to discover in them, beyond all the minigames available, of which there are plenty.
If you want free roam, get Go Vacation. The minigames are a bit meh, but the free roam more than makes up for it.
Ah, the long-awaited golf update. Let's hope it's worth the wait after all!

My hope is that they add more sports, such as boxing, baseball, basketball, and a few water and winter sports like skiing.
I've been playing this game since the release date and I have unlocked every cosmetic until now. I honestly like this game. Sure it would be nicer if they had release golf sooner, but I'm still excited for it.

@@blqberry1 Yes, you can play the games solo against the computer if you don't want to play multiplayer online or locally. But you won't be able to unlock the new outfits and cosmetics unless you play online. You're welcome! :)

How I'd love to see those Sportsmates becoming the substitutes for the Mii's as our profile avatars...
They need to make outfits available to players offline. Maybe allow the characters who have not started playing online have all the outfits of those who have on the same system. Everytime I play with other people locally, it is always 3 people using default outfit and one with something unique because the customization is locked to just that one.

And all they included were holes from an old game. No creativity or originality. Golf is by far my most played game from the original Wii Sports--looks like I don't need to buy the Switch version since it's just a rehash. The graphics (at least the golf portion) look no better than the Wii version either.

I wish they added fun game modes to the sports. Like Chambara in wii sports resorts had a quest like game mode. Or the bowling game mode where you can bowl 1 pin to over a 100 and see if you can get a big score.

Wondering why this wasn’t here at launch also, what is it with most Nintendo games they’re adding stuff in later like in Splatoon 2, Arms, and Mario Tennis Aces?
This is almost exactly like the first overview trailer it’s just they added golf and the ✨slide attack✨
My favorite part was when Nintendo said "It's golfin' time!" and golfed all over the game. Truly one of the updates of all time.
An interesting fact: The building next to the soccer field had a smaller soccer field inside. You could even spot it on the right corner when you're waiting for players to join.
Now I can finally use those Joy-Con Golf Clubs JYS sent me!
Thanks Nintendo! This sport that was in the base game of the pass 2 Wii sports games is finally here after 8months and being delayed! This is definitely a good work ethic!

Every year we play Wii sports for thanks giving, we gave Switch sports a try this year and dad was disappointed golf hadn’t been added in time

Almost a year for 1 sport that was shown before the game released is craaaazy and it should've been there day 1. Only Nintendo could get away with nonsense like this without massive backlash smh. It amazes me how older games had more content than a lot of newer games nowadays

Golfs finally here, along with 21 courses from the previous games. Is that all they've been working on? Where's archery? Where's basketball? Baseball? Water skiing? So many other sports new and old that could be inluded.

You know how they always talk about spocco square, how it's detailed in the tips and stuff, why can't we actually EXPLORE the place? They took so long with the golf I thought they would surprise us with something with the update, walking around or "hints" of new sports or something, but no, the layout of the menu makes it look like these are it
Maybe one more sport planned with the one building that looks like it could be discus or baseball, but that’s being a bit optimistic, since the random button for online is over it
It's not a real city. They can take out a building or two to add a new facility. Do people actually think that they're limiting themselves because of the layout of the background?
