For people who play Holmes purely as Support it's contradicted because it's on his 2nd skill, which is almost purely for DPS purposes. For DPS purposes it's meh, because Sherlock's NP levels only increase the Def Down, which isn't all that great when looping, and when Looping he can easily loop an NP Crit Brave Chain into 200% overcharge already, meaning you're only really able to tap the full potential of this skill if you have an 300% Overcharge cap-- so NP 5 Sherlock. Siegfried’s battery is on a 6 turn cooldown, so you use his battery turn 1, which gives him 80% charge turn 1, and unlock his append 2 to give him 20% charge, that gives him 100% charge on wave 1, on wave 2 you use both vitch’s skills, reducing his cooldowns by 4 and giving him his np back, on the final wave his 30% battery will be active, so use it and then swap in oberon, who has a 70% battery, now you can np again.
@@vartner8051 except my understanding is castoria can function with most good arts farmers without additional support or at worst any 50% charger . There are even comps with one castoria and lanling plus a charger. Pocket chalk has great breakdowns of farming requirements
Yeah her base attack is over 12K, it was basically the only advantage she had over Artoria prior to her battery buff with both being day 1 servants. She hits quite hard post buff in the DKS system indeed.
I know this is off topic but I have a crazy story to tell. I woke up this morning a few minutes ago (I live in a different tome zone). Opened FGO NA, clicked on the summons, went to the banner of Summer Okita and Melty. With my one summoning ticket I received yesterday, rolled for a single. I got spooked............ Rainbow spin......... Golden card reveals............ Rultoria has been summoned. ARTORIA PENDRAGON RULER!!!!???? HAS BEEN SUMMONED!!!!! Today is a good day. My luck is scary. That was my second rainbow spin after Carmilla Rider. Lambda, Summer Okita, Summer Altoria, Summer Carmilla and Summer Hokusai. Five summer servants.
Congrats but a couple of corrections. Getting a rate up servant isn't a spook, a spook means an off rate up servant. And your Carmilla rider couldn't have come from a rainbow spin, those are only for SSRs. You must have seen gold orbs instead.
Bruh Holmes above Qin? Really? That's crazy. He does way less damage, and has way less survivability than Qin. Most of Sherlock's buffs are 1 turn duration. The only thing that changed for Holmes is that now you use his utility NP faster (or with less required CEs) but he's still there just to do that and die or be plugsuited out.
That isn't really true, Holmes' more important buffs are 3 turns (debuff immune and his np's effects), Baritsu is 1 turn but you're supposed to use that for burst turns/charge np. I have both Holmes and QSH and both have very different use cases and battle speeds. QSH is a tank that does damage (kinda made obsolete by castoria) with selfish skillset, and Holmes is a flex servant used for ignore invul/def needs. (can be replaced with CEs or Jane) Honestly, battles with Holmes as dps play way faster than QSH. And no, his damage is not less than Qin's, they're more or less equal. I've seen Holmes one turn raid boss hp bars with his own buffs. I don't understand why people compare these two so often. I also don't get why people think of Holmes only as a support, I've had way better success with him by using him as a DPS with party support capabilities.
The Sherlock buff could have been more unique if it became targetable. I understand that giving a servant a battery makes them a lot better, but I feel every servant gets on for free now and it feels a bit lazy and uncreative

"50% Battery for Holmes is cool, but I have no idea why it exists honestly.
Which is an insane Over investment. On the other hand, it does make patching up the few turns he doesn't full loop into a Noble Phantasm again as at least tolerable. Sumanai on the other hand just seems amazing, his Battery Buff is nowhere near as limited as Holmes', and damn, he's going places." - Me, 6 hours ago on a Kitasean video.
To add to these points though: a Battery for Sherlock could've worked had they also made S2 targetable, or if they put it on S3 instead, since S3 is already a 1 turn burst esque skill anyways. Anyways, that's my thoughts on it, feel free to yell at me or get angry that I'm against more Noble Phantasm gauge shenanigans.
does those buffs/nerfs include other regions or are we supposed to wait till exact same update?
2 years unless lasagna gives them out early.
Also, there's never been a nerf on any servant, so I'm not sure where you got that news
@@Urd-Vidan i am new to fgo, i dont know much about old updates, so i thought that they may have nerfed someone too.
@@frederickkonig7747 that's very understandable. Also, if you squint enough, you can say that they nerf servants by power creeping other servants, but that's just me, probably.
@@Urd-Vidan i think if servant is broken, it is okay, even if they ll release even more broken servants. It is like you can clear game easily with one, but with other you ll clear it easier.
@@frederickkonig7747 Well, it's been 7 years and no nerfs so far, so I doubt any nerfs happening.
My np4 Siegfried, my time has come... then realizes he's level 1
Is siegfried finally gonna do decent damage outside of his dragon niche?
Are those Neutral or Class Advantage numbers? I assume Neutral, because 46k damage on Wave 2 would be way too sad for a "farmer".
It's Neutral
Im an NA player so my understanding of buster farming is limited. But how can Siegfried farm with aerial drive? I know about the double koyanskaya + oberon setup but the math doesnt add up for me.
Unfortunate that you need to draw both vitch and Oberon though.
In a 3 month period next year is
Vitch
Oberon
Morgan
Melusine
@@dudsummon3803 imao, every 3 turn farming has the same problem. double mirlin, castoria, skadi.
@@vartner8051 except my understanding is castoria can function with most good arts farmers without additional support or at worst any 50% charger . There are even comps with one castoria and lanling plus a charger.
Pocket chalk has great breakdowns of farming requirements
@@kr555wizard ohh right I forgot the append skill. Thx!
Imagine if Sherlock got np charge and partywide np gain
waiting for them to buff his 2nd skill coz it doesn't do his legend any justice, he's literally invincible except for his back
I misread the title and I though you were calling Sherlock a great farmer lol
😂
Lasagne give him damage cut on his second skill and he'll finally be done justice
I hope they buff daddeh Gawain too
Can Salter get buff to her shitty 12% Charisma , i dont even care if they just make it 20% and add no other effect .
I have NP5 lets go!!!!
Is that Altera at 1? She hits that HARD?
Yeah her base attack is over 12K, it was basically the only advantage she had over Artoria prior to her battery buff with both being day 1 servants. She hits quite hard post buff in the DKS system indeed.
Amazing buffs! Only 2 years for them 🥲
You think its worth leveling my esports holmes from 1 to 90 just cause of the battery
Actually nevermind because if i do that he will get the stars instead of the dps
Was going to say no but you answered yourself 😂
No
Too bad that Sherlock doesn't appear on effectively any banners until Traum on NA (lucky bags don't count).
He has a banner next year! (unfortunately right before Anniversary and Vitch)
@@MystFGO Thank you for correcting me. I'm still new with the terms. Plus your videos are entertaining. Again thank you for the information. 🙏
Why people call Siegfried sumanai?
If I remember correctly it's because he said Sumanai so often
@@yolkkyz sumanai :(
5:27 I still don't like him
Now they just have to buff bradamante
Test Siegfried out and then come back and say he's not that great for boss fights. Especially in a world where Saint George exists.
Hopefully they give tame caster and hime assassin a 50% battery 🔋
Still waiting for a buff for Jekyll, but they don't care about old 3* servants
They turned CasCu into one of the best farmers in the game last year, lol.
(can be replaced with CEs or Jane)
Honestly, battles with Holmes as dps play way faster than QSH.
I understand that giving a servant a battery makes them a lot better, but I feel every servant gets on for free now and it feels a bit lazy and uncreative
fìst
Finally Sherlock gets a buffed. He was extremely lacking
Meh still sucks and outdated. This just makes him worse at ESports. Should of put it on the first skill or a buff that is more supportive. He needs a better kit.
I mean, he’s the same as an esports. It’s just that now there’s more incentive to level him
I mean it’s not like esports is the only playstyle chief and his base kit actually makes him a good dps.
@@mystic1029 Not how Esports works you want the effect and make him die fast. The lvl makes it harder to kill. Still sucks.
@@flareless6713 again, what I said. They didn’t nerf his ability as an esports (I mean, his NP and skill 1 is the same), they just incentivized actually leveling him more.
@@mystic1029 You don't get ESports do you. You don't want to lvl an ESports servant esp not a ruler, to much HP. Thats why I said it should of been on his first skill. I mean it ain't even that great even with the stupid buff.
