After filming our last video, I realized that we have almost never showed our usual night-time wildlife spots in the day-time. It looks very different and I think some of you will appreciate seeing where we live and our surrounding area. Of course, right now it is the dry season so it isn't as lush and green as it can be in the rainy season. However, the weather is so nice right now with overnight temps dropping to the 50's and day time highs in the upper 70's or low 80's. That will all change in the coming weeks but for now we are enjoying it. The forecast shows mid 90's in only ten days time. Thanks for watching!!!

I’m privileged to be able to come along on this ride. With limited mobility, I can only imagine how it must feel. Fun to watch. Beautiful snake. And yes, she was very chill. Kind of cute how she just kept looking at you. When I was young, I did go out and road cruise a lot here in Southern California. I miss those days. Thank you for bringing me and everyone else into your lives. I now have a smile on my face for the rest of my day.😊
Gotta love the behind the scenes stuff, it makes for great perspective.
What an absolutely beautiful way to live. Sitting here freezing in the middle of a Scottish winter I’m jealous! 😂
In one week it is going to be well into the 90's but right now things are pretty comfy.
Very beautiful land, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for showing us around. Good to see you happy at home with Apple.
You mentioned your aquariums, how about an update on them and the cool fish. Easy video idea and you don't have to leave home lol
There is an update coming but it will be next month. I hand-carried two giant backgrounds from Universal Rocks for each of the tanks, new lighting I ordered off Lazada(Asia's amazon) and they are both being upgraded and with new fish. They look so good.
Apple, your looking more beautiful all the time. Thanks for tour Dan. Love you guys.
Great to see y’all out herping. 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for the tour. Looks like a nice neighborhood.
Thanks for the video guys!
Great video, Dan. Thanks for sharing
Awesome video and very cool tour of the land. Thanks Dan and Apple!!
Must be a Saturday Morning... FANTASTIC
Beautiful place beautiful family enjoy the blessings of God or life
good to see where you herp during the evening.
Enjoying the video. Greetings from Bali :)
It is so beautiful there! ❤
Great video again any video you guys make is a great video
💚
That was interesting. Nice to see the areas when you can see them rather than just a fairly small lit up area at night. A lot of wildlife filming is done in a studio. The person who used to own the Reptile shop that I went to does a lot of film and TV work. He once told me that he did a piece with a Scorpion. He wore a green glove and the Scorpion was filmed crawling on his hand. Then when the film was put together the hand was replaced with a rock.
Some very big documentary pieces filmed by the biggest names were filmed in the over-grown back corner of my supplier's farm lol
It's good to see things actually in the wild rather than film sets even though they might look good.
Once I hear, "I love these, they are my favourite" and it is followed with all kinds of wrong information, I'm out lol.@@philipmead5113
Good morning Dmextios have a wonderful day great work have a super day have a great day have a nice day have a awesome day have a cool day Dmextios
And, if your home's air conditioner is working, have a bit of a chill day! Enjoyed your video, especially the uncharacteristically mellow Ptyas with the unabraded rostral! Thank you for the tour!
We aren't using AC right now, the weather is very pleasant. We had two AC units go out and had them repaired last week....temps will be in the 90's next week so we are ready.
@@DMExotics Glad you got your A/C working; don't know how I/we could sleep without it here in northwest Can Tho Province (1.5 hours from the city of Can Tho), Vietnam!
That planned wall around your land across from the house sounds like another huge project - hope it goes well, as all of your endeavors seem to go. Keep on keeping on, Dan and Apple, and Happy (upcoming) Year of the Dragon!
You don't get a break in the weather? Typically November -January here where we are, our overnight lows can go 40f with day time highs in the 70's only. Then in one day it can all be overwith and jump 25-30 degrees lol. @@Steevee14
Good morring, what the walk talkey thing in back pack, thinking safty stuff , Aquarium, koi fish, big 🐔 ,and 🐢 update video , coming soon ? Your videos of 🇹🇭 bring warmth to us in cold 🇺🇸 , thanks 4 sharing
Yes, we have professional walkie talkies. We will do updates on everything in time...currently we are managing a few projects while I run this reptile business remotely. Wedding anniversary trip coming up in two weeks and the wall construction starts tomorrow.
Wow I didn’t realize it was like a plantation road, thought it was more wild. Beautiful views.
Yes, we live in an agricultural area surrounded by farms and farmers. Apple's family are/were rice farmers but there are other crops these days. Still lots of creatures here but it isn't the same as the 500+ national parks and protected areas in Thailand.
@@DMExotics makes total sense. Good idea for the video to show it during the daytime in more detail like that.
Definitely people staging videos. Donny proved it when he did pattern comparison and found the same burm was being used in all the venom bro vids some even putting it in a sewer to pretend like that found it in a sewer.
What a lovely place you guys live in! I can see why you and the snakes enjoy it. Are those Buffalo? They can be rude lol and fences are merely suggestions for bovines. Although I love making friends with the neighborhood cattle here in Texas. Once you bring 'em some pretty grass they can't reach across the fence, they'll moo at you in greeting every time they see you. I bet a similar approach would work with those Buffalo, if that's what they are. I'm lucky to have some ground water fed ponds in my area that don't dry up, similar to what it looks like y'all have, and the wildlife that hangs around is always fun to observe. Turtle crossings from one pond to another are a regular occurrence in the spring. One time, a gigantic common snapper walked across my yard, heading for a pond about half a mile down the road. My dog was totally bewildered by the behemoth and followed it 6 feet away as it slowly made its way across.
It's nice to be able to see what the habitat looks like in your area and where the snakes prefer to be! Thank you for showing us. Y'all seem so happy this video, too.
The owners of these water buffalo walk them to these areas to feed in the morning and then go fetch them in the afternoon to take them back to their homes. I usually see about 30 of them going past on the road while exercising every morning. Some farmers only have two, some have a dozen with babies and all. They know their owners but can identify strangers...we don't push our luck. The two in the video were young but there are some very big ones that are intimidating.
@@DMExotics probably better not to push your luck with those, you're right!
Those ponds at 7:00 look like they would be great for dip-netting.
Betta, gourami, glass fish, minnow, leeches, water bugs....we have a lot frozen that we feed to our fish in our tanks(and soon to our fish in our outdoor ponds).
Can we see a updated video of your pond, fish tanks + fly river turtle and your emus?
Koi pond looks the same. Fish tanks getting some upgrades so not yet. Fly river is headed to the koi pond because she has eaten some of our fish lol. Emu getting an upgrade to across the street soon(see last week's video).
Update us on your aquariums, I want to see your koi and arowana.🎉
We will, the inside tanks are getting some upgrades so we will wait until we have our new fish and everything in place.
Great stuff! Where do you live?
Nakhon Phanom
Hi Dan, just wondering is there any snakes that are native to your area that you haven’t found yet or have you caught them all?
I think we have caught most but maybe not everything. We really don't go out as often as we used to. I am still running my business from here, doing import/export, brokering shipments remotely and buying/selling so I have reptiles on my mind constantly but we usually hold off on venturing out until we take a trip away from the house(which is often).
Exotic tropical fruit in some of those trees? Maybe start a side business of exporting tropical fruit seeds to us here in the United States!?!
🍉 are small and $$ in the cold season. 🥶 in 🇺🇸 , fresh food got be good and Affordable in the cuntry side, missing 🇹🇭
You can order seeds on eBay I am sure. There is not much here that you can't find for sale in the US. Seeds are also regulated by USDA so there is a whole set of laws and rules that I prefer not to delve into.
Watermelon have gotten bigger with the addition of the chemicals. I don't eat watermelon much anymore because the chemicals here are not regulated like in the USA. About two years ago some water buffalo trespassed into a farmer's watermelons, ate up a ton and died from chemical poisoning....using some FDA banned chemical. We try to just eat the fruit and veggies that we seasonally grow. The rest freaks me out a bit, especially fruit that holds such a high water content I figure it also will retain the most chemicals used during the grow.
@@DMExotics Yikes! Thanks for the unintentional "heads up" - I should probably be more circumspect about the produce, and food in general, here in Vietnam. Would love to grow a few pink and / or red grapefruit here - the pink pomelos available here are comparatively flavorless. ☹
Oh yes, be very careful. Most of these banned chemicals are coming from your neighbour(China). My wife is always pretty skeptical buying fruit and we have tried to limit ourselves to growing our own or buying locally homegrown from neighbours that doing organic stuff. Not "organic" as in the fancy label at the supermarket but more like, "we use chicken and buffalo poop for fertilizer and pick off the caterpillars and grasshoppers by hand" lol @@Steevee14
Damn wasps 😂😂😂
Everyone around here can't wait to eat them again lol.
Do the Buffalo that you showed like people or they don’t like people good video
They get walked every morning to various places to eat the local grass and plants by their owners. Then in the afternoon their owners walk them back to where they stay the night. There are farmers that have more money and just keep them in one spot and provide them high quality food but for the farmers that don't have the money, they take them to go eat whatever is growing around for free. The buffalo can be raised for food or for breeding and baby buffalo once ready to part ways with the mom can fetch $500-$900ea on average.
