- Burial executive, Ustaz Junaidi Zumzuri, from Ihsan Casket, Muslimin Trust Fund Association (MTFA), teaches others in the Muslim community how to conduct rituals to send off their deceased.
In this episode, Ustaz Junaidi demonstrates the process, sharing his insights and reflections on the significance of this tradition.
Clarification: In keeping with Muslim principles of modesty and propriety, men wash men's bodies, and women wash those of women.
The person leading the prayer (imam) stands in front of the body (near the chest if the deceased is male and near the middle if female), and starts the prayer with the first Takbir (saying “Allahu Akbar”).

A group of men who brought the body of my brother for burial, were joking and laughing very loudly, near the site, that is where the word compassion comes in, respect the people around and observe silence, thank you for bringing this subject up. I witnessed my brother, who is a muslim convert, and I was really moved the way he was washed and cleaned thoroughly, with respect and care. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Full salute to you Sir. You are a godsend gentleman. You show your love and full involvement.
