@@factory_01 from now on, any project with Russia will be under the constant shadow of their depleting war with Ukraine. Hope Indians will not squander this opportunity to develop their own industry. Creating commercially successful modern firearms is a story of constant improvement, aligning production lines to changes, unclogged supply chains and efficient & trained workforce.
A rifle like this can be a world of opportunity if the powers that be do not gibe up on it. Make it available for export the moment production line stabilizes.

Mass production is possible,since we approved the mass production of ak 203 rifles in India under licence,but it was halted due to the Russia Ukraine war. Since the war is ongoing,the project will not start any time soon. So if the ugram project came as success,it's a golden chance for it to enter production stage.

Most of the guns produced by countries other than major arms exporters we see today are some how have the looks of ak and ar. Both are considered superior arms all around the world, so design are inspired from them a lot.

What is the barrel length

I don't know the length exactly, but the length of the rifle is approx 1metre , so the barrel length will be around 40 to 50 cm , considering most assault rifles have barrel length between 40 cm and 50 cm.
