If they do a kunark launch, people won’t breeze through Kunark so quickly since they won’t be classic decked out entering into Kunark. Also allows for classic dungeons to not be overrun with players, a lot more options available to look for loot now
I feel like this TLP will be another case of day one boxes PLing enchanters and druids up, then selling PLing to others by day 2. And EQ is still a boxer's game. It's impossible to get anywhere, even on a TLP, as a solo player anymore.
A lot of people have been complaining about 12 weeks of a Kunark if this info is true. The same people will say that 4 weeks of Classic and 8 weeks of Kunark is ok. So, wtf is the difference if we start in Kunark and its 12 weeks? it still means 12 week until Velious. I would rather start in Kunark and do the full 1 through 60 race.
I would rather spend 3 months in Kunark than 2 of Classic + 2 of Kunark, this is a good decision in my opinion. That said, timeline won't be the determiner for whether I join the TLP or not.
Thing is, though, I think it's going to feel like 3 months of Kunark, rather than 2 months. People aren't going to waste a whole lot of time in Classic content, if Kunark stuff is available. So I think it's going to make Kunark feel even longer D:
@@Flea_ipThat's very true. We'll really have to push the limits of Kunark to not get bored. Run a few alts, get them epics, get that Defender shield, Cord, etc... Maybe even that won't be enough. Personally I just don't like having 6 weeks of Classic raiding, so I'm biased and trying to justify it :)
I will be so shocked if they give up the money they bring in on all the Monks, Shamans and Necromancers race changing to Iksar when Kunark launches. I just can't see it. I would prefer Kunark at launch.
Not trying to play devil's advocate, but since monk fists are so good on TLP, are Iksar Monks actually better than Human Monks? As someone who always tries to have the best ratio weapon, I've always seen the Human fists as the clear winner. But maybe after the epic Iksar monks become the same as Human fists? It's hard for me to tell based off the chart I'm looking at.
Daybreak also prefer a classic start, they get to make bank on race change potions in Kunark. This is likely in response to Project Quarm launching Kunark in May with an Iksar only start.
Sucks for me, but sounds like people like the idea. I'll dabble a bit I guess. Kunark basically obsoletes 90% of classic, so outside of possible leveling paths, there is little reason to engage in the content. I'm not a huge fan of Kunark anymore, even though I loved it when it originally launched. TLP Kunark always feels dead to me. Also, I love farming money, and playing market, and I find classic more enjoyable era to do this. Oh well, I hope people are pumped!
Classic zone are good to level in for a few expansions. People will still be doing Sol A/ Sol B, Unrest/Guk etc. With Kunark though we can add several more low level zones to the mix. It just gives more options and spreads the crowd out a bit.
@@Deletes.pixels thanks for the thoughtful reply. :) I understand it helps for crowding. But I’m probably in the minority that it takes me much longer to level and I’ve found that once an expansion opens up I’m left behind. I imagine everyone will be in kunark and I will be sitting in old world looking for a group at level 20. I might be too old for the speed of these servers :)
@@bhofmeisterThe Unrest zone will remain for a very long time one of the most interesting maps for leveling up regardless of the expansions that will be released, just like Velketor on Velious.

trust me kunark gonna get breezed through regardless lol
This will be my last foray into EQ. But can't wait

kunark launch with mischief rules... count me in. despite all the other BS that has happened recently this could bring a lot of people back in

yup.
I would love a TLP with Kunark at start . F,,, yeah.
definitely, it's a shame there are so many great 1-50 leveling zones missed in the initial launch rush.
If they can do something about the bots, then I would be all in. Being extorted really leaves a sour taste in my mouth
As someone who wants to roll an Iksar, this would be good news.

Good points all around, your interpretation of this news makes a lot of sense.
Ok im booking the last week of may of work then haha , so not get left behind this time :)
Give us another premium server like Stormhammer . I have never had as much fun in game as the daily GM events
A kunark and mischief light 50/50 random loot would be perfect!
What is your Class Tier-ranking for Kunark start servers? ;-)
Whatever he's playing will be S or A, and Druids will be F !!!!

Not sure I’m into this. I’m one of those people that much prefers a classic start.

Zerkers and beastlords at launch. Come on. Change it up with iksars and vah shirt and frogloks as well
Atermis! You gonna be on the new server when it launches? I miss your voice. :P -Dizzee/Genkai
Hey Dizzee! I think it really depends on the ruleset! Few more weeks till we find out !
I really wish they would stop a TLP at DoN or Omens
If they Add the Encounter Locking again. Like they did on the last server. I will Not pay to play yet again.
We just want a progression locked omens don or dodh.
Literally no one is asking for a server like this.
who is we?
long live the veeshan server!
Discuss why necros are s tier and expose the scandal of tier list rigging
So should I dump 20 into Sta or Int for my upcoming troll SK?
Int

Human monks are gonna be rare...
Brit Canuck, this is petethecanuck. Great video!
Just give us zerkers/bst at launch and I'll be interested.
I play 95% of my time on live servers tbh
shout out karby!!!
Boooo I hope not. Skipping classic makes all those zones and loot irrelevant. Not a fan of that.
