Brilliant! Didn't spot any mistakes at all! Go easier on yourself, dude. You rocked it amd certianly inspired me! Great ribbon mic. NoHype Audio, you say? Will check 'em out. Happy Friday, have a great weekend👍😄
Hi, thanks so much! 🙏 I think we’re all our worst critics! I can’t listen to my music without heading all the “mistakes” but I’ve learned to get used to them now! Yeah exactly NoHype Audio, they’re based in Belgium, really nice mics and also at very affordable prices! 😊👍
@@FabianHollandGuitar Cheers. I hear you, we are most definitely our own worst critics but your song there is proof that no one notices the mistakes, apart from you! All the best and keep the great videos coming!
Great rendition Fabian. Always loved the feel of this song, you nailed it in your way! 👍👍 Been catching up on your livestreams, wish i could see em at the time though. Learned so much just watching them! Thank you for your content and time 👌👌
When you’re highly skilled (as you are), your idea of a good take is distorted. My motto -‘ Less shredding, more emotions.’ ‘Mistakes’ - ? Nah, just a different way to play the song. AND NO ONE NOTICES THEM! But everyone gets emotions. All the best John
Hi John, yeah that’s very true! I guess everyone has to decide what a “good take” is for themselves. And yeah instead of saying “Mistakes” I could say it’s just a different way of playing it than what I thought I was going to do 😊👍
Nice! Quick Q: if not a secret, which recorder have you used for the audio to this video? H4n pro? I've recently got Zoom F3, and, am thinking if it is (could be) "similar good" as you playing here (in terms of sound recording)?
Hi, thanks for the question! I’m actually using a Neumann MT48 audio interface for this recording however I have made other videos where I’m using my Zoom H4N Pro and it works great!! I do use a Triton Audio FetHead Preamp in between the mic and the zoom though when I’m using a ribbon mic, this gives me way more clean gain which ribbon mics need but when I’m using the mt48 I don’t need the extra gain because the preamps are extremely high end. Here’s a video of me using the zoom when recording with the same ribbon mic (NoHype Audio) ua-cam.com/video/BQ90gZ2RicE/v-deo.htmlsi=fMOD8otvQkEaXNzS
@@FabianHollandGuitar Got you, wow, "Neumann MT48" is pretty expensive, definitely believe it worth it) What this "Triton Audio FetHead Preamp" used for? Would it be good to be used with the Zoom F3 also, how do you think?
Nice take! Excellent performance. I love the guitar tone. Is the cool echo sound of the guitar coming from the amp? Or a plugin in post-processing? It sounds great.
Hi, thanks so much! Yeah it’s coming from the amp. I split my pickup from mono to stereo and then one signal went to the interface and the other went through my pedals and then into the electric guitar amp which was then mic’d up with another ribbon mic.
@@FabianHollandGuitar I didn't even know it was possible to split a pickup into stereo. I guess you have to run your line into a box of some kind and then route one end to a mic amp and one to the interface? Or does the ribbon pick up the amp too? However you do it, the sound is really cool. It sounded like your guitar was blowing through a foggy, eerie wind. At some points in the song, I even wondered if you had recorded a separate pedal steel guitar track. Anyway, nice work.
Hi, thanks for asking! I’m actually using a Neumann MT48 Interface for this because the preamps are insane and give me LOADS of super clean gain which you really need for ribbon mics! If I was using my H4N Pro then I would also use a Trinity Audio FetHead Preamp with it which gives me 20db of clean gain. Thanks 😊
I've had my eye on the NoHype ribbon you use for a while now but haven't yet pulled the trigger. Do you have any experience with AEA's r84? If so, how do the two compare? Of course, the price of the NoHype is unreal, and the reviews (I've seen yours) are generally positive.
Hi, I haven’t actually tried the AEA’s r84 so I can’t say how that compares but I really like the NoHype ribbons, they’re so much better than any other ribbon you can get for a similar price!
❤❤❤❤ Beautiful
Thanks so much 🙏
Great rendition!
Thanks so much 🙏
How beautiful
Thanks ☺️🙏
Fantastic sound1!! which gauge and what kind of strings you used man?
Always a great treat to my ears👍👍👍
Thanks! 😊
Making Magic is much more important than a take with no mistakes. Von Karajan used to do the same, if it helps yoo to know!
Love the sound!! 😎😎
Thanks so much! 😊👍

What's that one mic plugged into please ? An h4n pro ?
