I was so satisfying to watch all the accessories come together at last. We have been following their journey from the initial concept, to prototyping, to revisions, to finally a finished product. It was almost like a proud parent moment, raising your child and sending them off on their way. You don't know where life will lead them but you hope for the best. I'm a gamer, but never really saw myself owning the table just because of the gaming accessories... but I'm also an artist, and seeing the hobby vault really impressed me. Being able to keep my art supplies organized under the table so I can just start painting any time and put it away easily is amazing... Honestly I would just use the rest of the table for storing canvases or paper.
Oh, you could also have an easily washable paint proof table cloth that gets held on with the magnetic things so you don't mess up your surfaces when painting.
You know, given that the Magnetic Tablecloth video is one of my personal favorites because it catches Doug at possibly his highest level of childlike glee, I'm glad they didn't just make that a one-off thing and they stuck with it to bring it to the next level.
A lot to digest here! The hobby combo pitch is brilliant, the vault + shelf + inserts are a wicked idea and you should all be very proud. How do the hobby shelves fit the hex table? My biggest takeaway from this video: literally all of this needs to be on your website, long term. I have a V1 table, I'm going to want to update my V1 game deck eventually - but not yet. I'm going to want an entire hobby system eventually - but not yet. How are the exclusive woods going to work with future upgrades? If I buy a Bolivian Rosewood table through KS, will I have accessory support in the future?
Bolivian Rosewood is only available for accessories at this KS, but to your point they do have a question in the FAQ that addresses the availability of wood types long-term for replacements. They say they'll try to make them available as long as possible, but can't guarantee indefinitely due to the possibility of them not being able to source it. I assume the same applies to future orders as well so if you want an exclusive wood, get it while you can or bank on it hopefully being available another time.

I'm interested in the hex table! However, i'd like to see some of the bigger accessories inserted into the hex table as well. Will the hex table be showcased in a different video, including which accessories do or do not work?
An insert that could hold a roll of brown craft paper horizontally, would be so useful in the event you wanted to paint miniatures at the edge of the table. Would be easy to pull the paper over the topper to protect it from paint, and then just rip it off and pull more if you need to.
Great to see so many new accessories! But as someone who plays D&D and wants a Hex table, I really missed seeing some kind of GM shelf or hobby vault for the hex table.
Brewski buddy should be a push open not a pull open, IMO. Start at an angle and when it’s open it’s upright, instead of the other way around. If you get a couple beers in you, that open angle is gonna be dumping brewski on the floor-ski for some people. 1:12

I have an accessory idea 💡! The crook for the GM/DM to reach out and move minions around the surface. Maybe with a removable "head" and turn it into a craps dice rake or something. With your guys's wood selection, maybe leather wrap handles fancy fancy.

This is a great idea. If they're not sure how to do this, they could even team up with DF -- I'm sure they'd be interested and it would promote both companies.
So I already have a table, and a bunch of fast pass accessories on order, but there is a lot of new stuff here. If I want some of the new stuff is the best path to join this kickstarter to get new stuff? This is the part I'm unclear on. Everything looks amazing!
I'm in a similar place. There will no doubt be an accessories only tier in the Kickstarter campaign. For now I'm sure that's the only way to get these new items.
I've had such an on-and-off again relationship with the MGT. Not that I don't like the concept (I was immediately hooked when it was first introduced) but because I keep debating if this is something I need vs "oooh shiny I want it!" as well as the cost the cost." I play board games all the time but I'm not sure if setting up a board game in the vault is any better or worse then just setting up on the toppers. That being said, I don't know why but the way they pitched the MGT now makes it seem so much better. I can't describe it. The small hobby shelf is brilliant as well as the corner rolling tray. I never even considering mix & matching the wood types for accessories till I saw the end of the video which just looks so good. I'm seriously considering joining the kickstarter this time around as long as my wallet agrees.
Just to make sure... you all might want to check your 3d printing processes when making food grade/safe parts. Even if the material is food safe you can have issues with impregnation of particulates over long term use of a plastic/silicon material. There are also issues with some 3d printer nozzles leaving lead and other metal particulate in the material. I dont know if you all are sealing the parts and letting people know not to soak/dishwash them but might be something you want to look into.
@@tmcicak Very true, imagine they will go that route as well. I've just noticed a shift in manufacturing in some applications where companies are either printing themselves or contracting out printed parts to a 3rd party in order to avoid cost of tooling when relative volume of each sku is lower so thought Id let them know there are a lot of issues with printing food grade parts.

This is such a well thought out and good looking and functional set of furniture pieces. Wish I lived somewhere that I could house one. Maybe someday! Everyone is going to be so happy with their tables!
Hobby Vault: No card slot on the edge?! It fits a card stock game screen (such as from your favorite brand-agnostic Essentials Kit) perfectly, and ends up giving you more room behind it than a freestanding screen. I use the slot on the far edge of the OG Game Deck all the time.
If you want to replace Monopoly and Uno with something that will excite people, a lot of backers are getting their hands on Frosthaven right now (the sequel to Gloomhaven). I think both of those games lend themselves well to the table with the storage tray. If you could get your hands on a copy of Frosthaven, you could do a very impressive setup. It’s a game you want to leave setup up under the toppers and need the storage space. Maybe even pick a good wood/felt combo that is Frosthaven themed. (If you want to really go all out, you could even think of doing special edition table packages for certain games like this in the future. Think “The Frosthaven bundle” with Figured Maple table, the sea blue felt, and all the accessories and trays with the deck to organize everything.)
Yeah, showing off the vault with campaign games would be nice. That’s the biggest use and quality of life upgrade for gamers from the vault in my experience. It’s so so nice to be able to set up some of these big sprawling games ONCE and leave it there for weeks / months. If it hadn’t been for that ability with my gaming table I’d have never gotten through Gloomhaven, Sleeping Gods, or The Initiative, to name a few. Oathsworn would also look amazing here, but Fosthaven is probably the best intersection of “mass recognition” and “gamers understanding the benefit”
Inserts are awesome and here's something that I foresee happening with them. You will see inserts that are 3D printed and people will share files for the,
My big question is if the Hobby Vault would be blocked from opening it's drawer when I have two Player Desks in the table in the spaces adjacent to the Hobby Vault. If the Player Desks stick out far enough to block it, the Vaults drawer feature won't be of much use to a GM during a game where players are using the Player Desks.
I use a setup like you're describing, and there's no way it would work. I could maybe see them redesigning it to have a smaller lid by adding a border on the side, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for this campaign.
My other question related to this is whether the larger vault even fits the number of player desks that could previously. On a medium table, can you fit a hobby vault, and two player desks on each long side (no desk necessary on the far end)?
@@d_dave7200 There's a couple inches of play on the sides of the table with the Game Deck, so unless the Hobby Vault is substantially wider it should at least fit in.
@@HydrocClaw Thank you! :) I do know the new design is larger, but I'm not sure by how much. Makes me feel better to know there are a couple of inches to work with at least. Fingers crossed this works.
For the hex tables - there needs to be a way to attach accessories at the outside corners maybe. A wrap around cup holder ? Tray for the inside corner (snacks, dice tray).
People hate Monopoly because everyone plays it wrong so it takes like 3 hours to finish and everyone gets burned out. Most people think if you land on a property and don't want it, and if no one wants to buy it at auction, you can just ignore it and leave it vacant all game... But the rules say that when someone lands on a property and doesn't want to buy it, the bank must auction it off immediately. All players can bid, but someone HAS to buy it then and there. Since no properties sit vacant all game, more rent gets paid, more money changes hands, and the game take < an hour so no one gets burned out.
Was planning on backing the kickstarter however due to some unforeseen expenses will be unable to now. But this is the nicest table I have ever seen and I would definitely buy one if offered on the website after.
The only problem I see with the table cloth, is that blocks the magnetic rail, so you can´t use the accesories for a nice dinner or that. Also, the hex table is perfect for poker, need some accesories for poker, specially some cushions for the elbows.
I personally like it. A lot of people will get a hex for the breakfast nook. You can cut a tabletop protector and throw a tablecloth over it to hold together so your table isn't getting dinged to death in day to day life between game nights and still look good.
So with the new table coming out with all the accessories and seeing the previous thumbnail on the video. I was wondering if you guys had thoughts about transfer cases for miniatures. I myself play a lot of Warhammer outside of D&d and I'm always paranoid about moving my models around while I travel to tournaments. Have you guys had any thoughts or plans about some kind of case?

If only...
It all looks really cool guys. 👍🔥
I know international shipping isn't available for tables, but will it be available if you're only ordering accessories?
Inserts are awesome and here's something that I foresee happening with them. You will see inserts that are 3D printed and people will share files for the,
Man, that mini painting set up and storage vault is a hard option to pass up.
Trying to convince my fiance so hard that this is the type of table we need. I just sent her the link to this video.
The hobby deck and tray look fantastic!
We need CHAIRS!! PLEASE
Dumping salsa directly into the corner rolling tray like a real chad
The charcuterie example was amazing 😍
So excited for this kickstarter! Honestly I would love if they could incorporate a “drunk dial” on the bottle openers
The hobby vault for painting minis and DM-ing is just *chefs kiss*. I wish I could afford a table like this..
the painting! 😍
How did only Bobby get a Chipotle burrito?! Them's the best!
One look at Battle Map, and my brain: Really big flat desert terrain for Battletech ;)
Man I wish we had this for the show instead of 3 folding lawn tables haha
I feel like I need a modular gaming bedside table now 😅
My big question is if the Hobby Vault would be blocked from opening it's drawer when I have two Player Desks in the table in the spaces adjacent to the Hobby Vault.
That's a REALLY good point. I think they'd have to take their desk off to let you in.
So many great things. If only it also had.... international shipping.
The Hobby Vault will be an essential GM tool, I keep getting up to get minis and books and this is gonna make it sooooo much smoother a process!
Black Poisonwood table!😍
everything they showed on the coffee table all I saw dogs tails/dog butts knocking everything off!! LETS SEE THE HAPPY
BIG DOG IN THE ROOM TEST
What no triskits ? When Jason showing off the food options
I would so love a hex coffee table!
The hobby vault is so good, my table is a mess when I paint or play D&D
Wasn’t able to back the last one because we were in the process of moving. Our game room is 100% ready for a Wyrmwood table!
Was planning on backing the kickstarter however due to some unforeseen expenses will be unable to now. But this is the nicest table I have ever seen and I would definitely buy one if offered on the website after.
Luckily for you, it will be
Lmfao, “MOUNTAIN DEWWW”
Question about the accessories, are they all compatible with a prophecy as well?
Especially the Hobby Vault.
Everything except for the Topper Block (and Topper Block Cover) and the Game Decks are compatible with the Prophecy.
This is super exciting, but random thought based on the snack/charcuterie idea: Modular Bar/ Modular Kitchen Island
Will the tv sceeen be available again like the previous kickstarter?
I don't believe it was ever available. They showed the possibility, but never saw it on the options to purchase. :(
How does the Topper accessory work? Do you buy each individual leaf for $150 or is it a set that you then put down your table size? Thanks!
It's the entire set for the size of table you order.
Topper block snack tray mold would be a winner
So with the new table coming out with all the accessories and seeing the previous thumbnail on the video. I was wondering if you guys had thoughts about transfer cases for miniatures. I myself play a lot of Warhammer outside of D&d and I'm always paranoid about moving my models around while I travel to tournaments. Have you guys had any thoughts or plans about some kind of case?
My body is ready!
tracker end caps are clutch!
