- 10 The Queens Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment on changing the WINDSOR CASTLE GUARDS ceremony. They are mounting the new guards to replace the dismounting old guards from Coldstream Guards.
As an older veteran, this brought back many memories of being part of the 48th Gurkha Infantry Brigade with 24 Field Engineer Regiment Royal Engineers in Hong Kong in the 1950s.
The UK is honoured that the Gurkha still wants to be part of the British Army. Incredibly brave fighters.
Good job they came in hundreds of years ago, the current "wokeflake" would have stopped it!
Great video, I did this both as a soldier and in the Band and was great to show my family what I did in part of my career.
All the best to everyone.
I love these lads. Proper soldiers, proper blokes. Bless them all!
I think it's amazing that they can walk at that pace and still play instruments!
I was thinking the same. Very impressive!
I had the honour of serving alongside the Ghurkas in the South Atlantic (1982); a more fierce Regt you could not hope to fight beside - & well deserved for their valour !!
So much respect for the Gurkhas. God Bless them and their service.🙏🙏🙏
My Uncle Alec fought beside some Gurkha's in WW ll. Fearsome!
Loved seeing this. Fantastic Gurkhas. Thanks for sharing and regards from South Africa 🇿🇦
Thanks a lot.
And their crazy curved Bowie knifes, very cool. Tough fighters that have been tested in battle, don’t mess with the Gurkhas!
Oh, don't call them 'Bowie knifes'! They're Kukris (or Khukuris).
Good Job Guards and Gurkhas!
Guard mount is tough duty, especially more with all the public eyes and what you are guarding.
Drill was out standing; Commands were clear and concise.
Again, Good Job Gurkhas and Guards!
Unique, inside view of the Guard change. Really good quality!
Well done Gorkha british army love respect you
The fiercest warriors in the British military!
Rubbish Special Forces eat Gurkha for breakfast funny how you never see any Gurkhas in UKSF.
@@Katmando376 Rather have a bullet to the head than a knife to the throat! I am absolutely sure special forces respect the Gurkhas and wouldn't be very happy if they had to face off!
@@Katmando376 I can tell you never served.
@@JATP-wp6eh No you never served!
@@Katmando376 🤣 Lmfao. People that actually serve don’t say the crap that you’ve been saying. I bet you’re just a wannabe. We may joke around and poke fun at our branches and regiments but not like you. Trashing the Gurkhas are like trashing the French Foreign Legion. Only a civilian would do something like that. And even if you did serve like you claimed, you sure as hell wasn’t no UKSF. 🤣
God Bless Them, I would like to have a Gurkha by my side, very brave Men
When Britain failed to invade Napal, and realised they would rather have these guys on "our side"... And were succesful in accomplishing that.. Just one of the things that made Britain great back in the day. Diplomacy, sort of.. Very good decision indeed :-)
Great video!! Thank you for posting.
Our allies. On our side through many wars. Rifles at the ready. Kuris unsheathed in seconds of need.
This is just so unique. Wonderful
So proud of Gurkhas. (For being proud of themselves, as representing a proud people). Proud also that they are proud for being proud about just about being merely proud at being a part of a something that I am very proud.... of. Fabulous stuff.
Your comment makes me very proud.
The prouder are prouder than the proud but not as proud as the proudest.
Phew! That's a lot of 'prouds' lol. Understood!
Thanks great video, keep up the good work
Holy moly what a smart looking uniform these blokes have.
Very impressive...as someone who has marched with the military, their cadence isn't easy to maintain! :)
will Derby not light infantry drill it's called rifle drill
thankyou to all our brave soldiers, past and present.
Great video. Pro Patria! Regards from London, Ontario, CANADA
My dad told us when we were kids that the gurkhas were excellent night Fighters
A very proud wife 🥰
God Bless the Gurkhas, finest of the fine
Also bravest of the brave!
No UKSF are the best!
I am also British gorkha army And
God save queen 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
@@Katmando376 there are Gurkhas in the UKSF.
@@izackmagar5979 Gurkhas are no better than any other unit in British Army.
Well done good effort 👌👌👍👍
Great Shoot MB.
Read that there is huge competition to be accepted into the Regiment, & a great honour if accepted!
I’m also informed that the Gurkhas are so loyal to the Royal Family - now King Charles lll.. wonderful sight to see them on parade!!👍👍👍👍
Great video
great video
Best in the world and so patriotic
Not the best in the world.
When they were passing through the gate at Windsor Castle I swear I could hear someone say face your front
Fantastic.
Gurkhas join the SAS as Nepalese fighters pass selection for Britain's elite special forces. Ghurkas have joined the elite ranks of the SAS. ... A source said: “The make up of the SAS is very secretive but we now know that there are 12 Gurkhas in the ranks.20 Jun 2015
Great to see the whole changing of the guard, would also like to see the Guards version !!
Never seen yo Nepali played like that sou nded so good!!!
fui acusado de louco e endemoniado .
obrigado vocês também .
Deus abençoe vosso oriente.
Salute
Brilliant video of changing of.the guard.The.gurkas are a proud regiment from a proud nation and don't need any more cutbacks from mod ? Who have served.england in time of need from Belfast northern ireland
No gurkhas dont need any more cut backs !!!! But nor does the rest of the British Army ! No excuses! Cut backs leave us short & overstretched in troop numbers, at any time !! it effects morale of other troops ! It's leaves less back up in reinforcement situation , it puts more pressure on exsisting regiments, & there is less troops to rotate to give relief in an war or campaign situation, their is always the unexpected situation that comes up , it's just bureaucratic penny pinching by civil servants & MOD the army was hell of a lot bigger previously, they spend £millions/billions - then cut the next - on something to compensate , millions spent on technology then cuts troops?! technology is good but cant replace everything we want trained troops in boots , US army has technology but is still is a very substantial size .. 💂♂️🇬🇧
Very interesting version of the march Sambre et Meuse, now the march of the brigade franco-allenmand.
IF anyone wants to read about insane abilities, look up what Gurkhas did during WWII
Gurkhas - simply the BEST soldiers in the British Army!! 😊👍
No UKSF are the best.
@@Katmando376 In the Falklands War the entire British military (including UKSF) could not take the island. As the last resort they sent in the Gurkhas - the Gurkhas took the island in ONE night - so Britain could win that war.
@@idleonlooker1078Rubbish Royal Marines and The Paras did the fighting! How many Gurkhas lost their lives?
@@Katmando376 BS!! It was because the UKSFs who couldn't do the job, that they sent in the Gurkhas who won the war for Britain. The Argies were quite happy fighting and resisting the UKSFs, but when they heard the Gurkhas were put ashore - THAT'S when they capitulated and surrendered en masse!! As everybody fears the deadly efficiency of kukri-weilding Gurkhas!!
@@idleonlooker1078 stop talking rubbish and get your facts right. Stop living off myths. Time to get rid of the Gurkhas
Remember that case when all those Gurkhas were thrown out 👎 Gurkhas 1 UKSF 10 They are Ill disciplined and do not follow commands. Send the lot to the French foreign legion 👎Most UK troops detest these foreigners who don't speak proper English 😬
I was in Blandford supermarket once eying up a couple of lovely looking Asian girls,,,, then it dawned on me I was in Gurkha town,,,,, thought it best to mind my own business. lol :)
I didn't expect to hear "Keep Your Feet Still Geordie Hinney"
Does anyone happen to know what marches there playing? It’s sounds amazing.
Oh no a womsn as Gurkha officer. Is the End.
I would think that at this point in time there’s enough trained and highly experienced Gurkhas that they should have a Gurkha officer
All British officers in Gurkha regiments speak Nepalese part of requirements
You have just seen one of the fastest marches, now take a look at the French Foreign Legion for the slowest march.
Sorry, but the special forces of the Ivory Coast are slower.
The Legion pace is from the traditional speed of marching in the sands of Africa.
@will Derby Obviously.
What was the first March?
Who is the officer in charge of the gurkas
10:48 oh yikes, they can still slide even if they bend their left knee? in other videos, it seemed like the soldiers tend to slip when their left knees are straight as they do the right foot stomp, and older officers seemed to bend their left knees to avoid slipping.
What’s the march at 4:34? It’s so catchy
Why are they playing Austin Powers theme at this occasion? I do enjoy it, but seems a bit out of place. Then I hear the Game of Thrones music and wonder who's getting murdered at Windsor Castle....
It's the light division extracting the urine (taking the piss) out of the guards a common thing in the British army FYI the guards played the empire theme (Star Wars) for a Saudi prince
Titles of music played please

Imagine this unit having to march--behind--the Foreign Legion?
Thered want it that way or the legion would have no one to kill if they in front...
HOME OF MAROON BERET
Your my family
It’s strange that the police carry M4 style rifles and the military continues to use the SA80 style rifle, what’s the reasoning for it if there is one?
They dont uk police use HKG36c and special forces use HK416 tactical, this will eventually filter down to all aspects of british armed forces with this sort of m4 type deritvertive made by heckler and koch..
Pardon eky
Gurkhas
Are real good. They're born in the Himalayas. Then they can carry comfortably between 200 to 300 lb on their back due to their compressed spine and core. Don't have to do at 10 or 20 mi hike during training carrying the weight of another man on their back
Who was the female ordering the Ghurkas around?!?
Bloomin' light infantry. Why can't they march properly?
5:54
No way....
You can bet that they won't March off the Old Guard at 140.
Yo nepali seer uhchali sansar ma lamkincha
Mercenary Army.
I wish they were assigned to the TEXAS border. The problem would be solved in a few days.
nice march, but the video sound was not good
That must be a real culture shock for the Gurkha troops . A female officer.
true - She'd be a hard Arse to earn their respect but.
Do you english invite a gurka to your house?
Why ever not?
You are on a racist mission ?
Respect world presido bidenen
great warriors having legacy of being in service of out of date concept of colonialism. Can anyone care to elaborate how is this different from being mere soldiers of fortune?.
So why do you think that collonialism and soldiers of fortune go in same comment, maybe these brave warriors dont think of it being colonialism and fight out of respect and duty instead, ever thought of that, mercenaries!!! , go call one of them that and see how many fingers you come back with...
Long live presido Biden
Will be corrected Biden
God those rifles look silly. Should still be using SLR's as a ceremonial rifle.
I forgive him
Strange that the Head of State is guarded by mercenaries. The Ghurkha´s are not British citizens but recruited from a foreign state.
Employed by the british army not privately contracted. Its an honour to have them serve for us.
@@francom1499 Recruited from a foreign state. Not British nationals, so therefore in strict terms, mercenaries.
@@mercomania They are much more than just mercenaries. Their loyalty & prowess has been proven in almost every conflict for centuries without fail. Arguably some of the finest troops you'll find in the British army and the world, and are eligible to live in the UK once a threshold for years in service have been met. The UK wouldn't trust mercenaries, but they do trust the Ghurkha.
@@generaladvance5812 They are foreign nationals in the service of another country, therefore mercenaries. However long they have served, and whatever name they fight under they are paid mercenaries in the service of a country other than their own. The UK uses them as paid mercenaries, no trust involved, they are bought and paid for.
@@mercomania If you say so pal.

Гуркхи - это наемники...Так же как Иностранный легион во Франции или Испании....Используется там где своих солдат жалко !!А наемников не жалко...им за это деньги платят.
circus
Soldiers on rent.
I bet you wouldn't say that to their faces. In fact you wouldn't dare say it to an 90 year old Gurkha veteran with a missing eye and a wooden leg. If you did, your voice would go up instantly by two octaves.
@@davidcockayne3381 Really! I'm scared 😁 The fact is you guy's using innocent Gurkha community for ur personal use like soliders on workpermit without equal rights. These Gurkhas are from Indian army and you guy's using them like Britishers looted India wealth..
And one more thing if you ask Gurkha about Sinha or kayasth community which is mine they will tell you how we are important in Nepal burocracy and in India too..
@@davidcockayne3381 By the way.. Just want to know on what status they serve to British Army? Please enlighten.
@@neil7711 Nepal is an independent country. The Gurkhas choose to join the British army. They have nothing to do with the Indian army. No one alive in Britain today stole anything from India, and many millions of Indians live in the UK and are prosperous and happy. Our Home Secretary and Chancellor of the Exchequer are of Indian heritage. So give your grievance archeology a rest.
who are these people? why do they look like Nepali people?
That is because they are from nepal
@@herberthowell7344 but why are they in the british army? why are they not helping the nepal army to repel indian border guards who encroached into nepal.
@@bombbahadurgurung728 Because they wanted to join the British Army?
@@bombbahadurgurung728 they think the British army will be better for them
You can think of them as the modern version of the Swiss mercenaries, their military and combat prowess is desired and they get payed well by other countries to serve in their military.
Oh the SA80\SA86A. The WORST battle implement fielded by the Brits in decades.
Women Gurkha, another tick box Exercise.
singapore show loyal to the queen.that is promised by a singaporean here.
A woman inspecting an unsheathed and naked khukri🤢🤮
I'm sure they loved being inspected by that gigantic lesbian pretending to be a military officer.
With a girl in chief , ahahahahahahahahahahahahah.
A great shame about the woman officer.
You have obviously overlooked Boadicea.
