And i really need help with my jumpshooting their is just so many things wrong with it to shooting a different shot everytime to not knowing when to release the shot to how to time my jump and not knowing how long i have to keep my guide hand on the ball. YES! These drills need to be incorporated into actually moving! Otherwise they just look good but don't do much in the way of getting a defender to do what you want them to do.
These drills are fine, but the most important drill is the actual INITIAL movement forward, left, or right. Those are the movements that get defenders to move. I see many college and NBA players do a lot of fancy ball handling, but they don't go anywhere, and therefore the defender just pays attention to the waste - like you are taught in both basketball and football. You MUST have good ACTUAL movement direction wise, otherwise you are just standing in front of someone dribbling, looking cool, but getting nowhere. These drills are excellent, but the focus should be on the initial directional movement and what comes off of that - because THAT is what gets the defender to move.
Thank you I went from pro 1 to elite2 in my basketball league I'm finally starting at PG and these dribble moves helped me to go to the rim or create space for a 3 and I made 4 threes yesterday and this really helped me thx for these basketball skills because I used to be so uneffient until I saw this thank you
