Why Putin is Scared to Deploy the Su-57 Fighter Jet in Ukraine

- The absence of Su-57 in the conflict has raised a question: Is it a true stealth fighter? The Su-57, designed as a successor to the costly Mccoil Project 144, faced challenges and funding difficulties following the collapse of the Soviet Union. Financial constraints led to delays and a reduced fleet size. Russia's claims of the Su-57's involvement in combat operations in Syria lack concrete evidence and may have been aimed at attracting foreign investors since Russia heavily relies on external buyers to fund its weapons development amid international sanctions.

did you just say 10 F-22’s with a “single missile” 💀
yes
Damn, that missile is carrying 10 more missiles😂
The F-22 hasn't got a single kill. There's a dam good reason for that. One day you'll realise how easily manipulated yous Americans are. So the military industrial complex can just keep on taking billions of tax payers money. Why have they not built anymore if these fantastic aircraft? Yes, Russia using a whistle controller.
It's hyperbole, and just not real. Also, the SU-57 is not a stealth aircraft. Says who? Sukhoi, the manufacture!!

After all, the second export of Russia is weapons.
They don’t even use su-34/37 in fact they don’t use their air power yet
They did in the beginning of the war, a lot. They stopped because they were getting wrecked by ukraine air defense and russia can't afford to rebuild their airforce. Planes are expensive. @@IsraelMilitaryChannel as competent as a US drone pilot
@@Donkeymaster9000 Russia tried to do this with Israel in 2018 but got taught a lesson real quick. Russia said the Israeli aircraft "pushed" the Russian Ilyushin 20 (IL-20) surveillance turboprop plane into the line of fire.
"Using the Russian jet as a shield, the Israeli pilots put it in the fire of Syrian air defense systems, as a result 15 Russian servicemen have died". Russian media quoted Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov as saying
OMG, where do I start. This video should have been five minutes. Unfortunately it was padded out with repetitive and pointless conjecture. Next, how would they know if a Su 57 was flying over contested territory. Most Ukrainian radar installation have been destroyed. Those that are left are of a vintage that they probably wouldn't detect it. Having said that, Russian aircraft don't even need to fly over contested airspace to be effective. The Mig 31, Su 35 and Su 57 are equipped with long range, fire and forget capable, hypersonic air to air missiles. They can launch these safely from within Russian controlled airspace. The Ukranians have admitted they have sustained substantial losses as a result. By the way, that qualifies as a stand off capability. The West currently does not have an analogue. As for comparing the F35 with the Su 57, you might as well compare apples with oranges. The Russian's apply a completely different doctrine to their aircraft design. Even the debate over which is a better 5th generation aircraft is pointless. There is no standard definition for what is a 5th generation aircraft. Ask ten different experts and get ten different answers. This debate should be left to knuckleheads in marketing. Last but not least, Stealth is dead! Sure, it might have some utility against an opponent relying on old radar equipment. The latest radar however - such as deployed with the s350, s400 and s500 - can track hundreds of targets across umpteenth channels, travelling at hypersonic speeds at ground level, with a radar return of a tennis ball. A stealth aircraft might as well be a blue whale flying thru the air. A 2 billion dollar B2 bomber would be reduced to a few thousand dollars of scrap metal in seconds. Stealth had its moment, but that moment has passed. Put all the fancy electronic capabilities of a 5th gen aircraft into a 4th gen airframe, and you will get as good or better performance for half the price. The emphasis has returned to designing aircraft with improved flight characteristics. Fly further, faster, higher and make sure you can dodge. And, make sure you can detect your enemy before they can detect you, and whack them with a weapon with a longer reach. The Russians understand this. Which is why they didn't kill themselves trying to make the stealthiest plane in the world. It would have meant making too many compromises that would have shortened the lifespan of the aircraft. Whereas the F35 puts all its eggs in the stealth basket. There are numerous fourth gen aircraft that can fly farther, higher, faster, carry more weaponry, are more maneuverable, and can be rearmed and refueled in a fraction of the time. All that could be forgiven if the plane was invisible . . . . but it isn't. And that's why they are offering Ukraine F16s , which will still get shot down by s400s. But that's ok, they can afford to lose them. And they are only being flown by cannon fodder - sorry, I meant Ukrainians - so who cares!
Cause there is no conventional air threat, it is hard to send a muti-billion-dollar aircraft to fight unmanned drones made out of cardboard. Would you send the SU-57 out there?
The reason to refrain from using Su-57 is logical. There's no opponent in the battlefield for this multipurpose fighting jet. Needs of RUssian AF's operations are satisfied with Ka-52 and their shortr-range missiles. These have proved succesful in thwarting ukr raids in zaporizhzha.
When US and polish F-16s arrive to the frontline (September?) We'll probably see the first duels between polish and russian fightee pilots ever. That will be worth watching.

I disagree with the reasoning. The real reason is obvious, and the same reason we won't deploy the F-35. Putting a stealth fighter into combat allows adversaries the opportunity to analyze its true radar reduction capabilities, and develop countermeasures. In peace time the F-35 flies with special radar reflectors installed to increase its radar cross section for this reason. To commit the SU-57 to Ukraine this early in its lifespan will give valuable information on its true capabilities to Russia's enemies, which will hurt the aircraft's viability over the long term. So Russia won't commit the SU-57 unless they feel they have to.
Su 57 were engaged but you can't see them because they attack from long range distance and return to base.

America doesn't even want to give F16's
Of course, compared to ANY Russian hardware a F - 16 is state of the art.
If I would have to guess why Russia doesn't wanna deploy them is because NATO countries promised to supply Ukraine with an Air Force if the war stretches up for about a decade or so as the F35's start to replace old gear.
With Ukraine potentially acquiring those weapons eventually, they need SU-57's with experience pilots to stand a chance at contesting the airspace when you reach that level of escalation as the skies will be full of 4th gen fighters.
If foreign powers can learn it's specs, that means Ukrainian pilots can train tactics to counter them as they train to use F16's and other stuff they might eventually get.
a decade? do you think ukranian soldiers respawn like a fkn call of duty game?
Its all hipotetical presumptions about Su 57 capabilities, until you try it, although they have few of them.. Their strategy is more defensive, not offensive, so its more valuable S - 400, S - 500 pantsir and others anty air systems can cover more Russian enormous theritory than some jets..

It might be….. But it does the job i guess.
In a war, it doesn’t matter on how much is price tag of your assets are or how technological it is comprised of. For as long as it does the job of eliminating an opponent, then it’s considered a formidable war fighter.

this is an easy question to answer, the 57 isn't junk at all but far from what the Russians whant everyone to know how good it actually is. Sure it's great against Ukrainian planes but that is not exactly an accomplishment against fighters that are 50 yrs old .
They don't need to launch it, they're already taking ground like crazy
Really its a stalemate.
Russia's only advance in the last year has been taking an abandoned ghost town. Their push on Kyiv ended in catastrophic failure, they lost Kharkiv, they lost Kherson, and they're now getting hammered all across the front by superior Ukrainian artillery. If the Su-57 amounted to anything, they would use it, the reason they aren't is because they know it's a paper tiger
The real question is how many of them are available
There is no need to ask this question! With the saturation of AD in Ukraine even F22 and F35 will be brought down. These stealthy jets are only stealthy in Afghanistan.. no jet can dodge 2-3 AD missiles at once.. thats just it..
The SU57 is not required for the Ukraine. When it’s used it’s used beyond visual range. That’s what the SU57 was designed for. The Russians use the SU35SM extensively in the Ukraine. This plane was never shot down in the Ukraine. So if the SU57 is much more advanced and stealthier than this one that’s used in the Ukraine it’s not even remotely possible for the Ukraine to shoot down an SU57. The SU57 is the most advanced aircraft in the world to date. Using an SU57 in the Ukraine is like driving a formula one car on a dirt track. The SU57 is designed for stealth, out of reach and super fast. It might have been used and you still wouldn’t know. It flew over Israel, tracked the entire terrain and left without it even being detected.

There’s no match for it there. F16 is a donkey with an expired sell by date. Targets in the Ukraine is successfully handled by Russias Tor, the KA52 alligator and the T42 tanks. Actually Russia uses Air Forces but with much less effectivness what could be without Ukrainian S-300s, Buks, Patriots, IRIS and other large threats to pilots. When Russia starts to produce UMPK for FABs (Russian analog of JDAM) Su-34 received a opportunity to bomb Ukrainin targets in near rear without entering in AD zone. @@morfeicheg What Russia should've done is convert hundreds of old Soviet-era fighters and attack aircraft into remote control drones. Russia has utterly failed to use its air power effectively. There was no coordination of their air, land, and sea power (in the Black Sea). The failure to demonstrate Russia's offensive power also whets ZOG-NATO's appetite and they really think that Russia will be worn out and ripe for a NATO attack after Ukraine surrenders.
The massive wipe out of Russia's modern tank power isn't a good sign. They do have a lot of Soviet-era stuff that is being revitalized but, that is also another bad sign. Where is their close air support??????
Cutting off enemy supply lines is War 101 and Russia is only now doing something about that in the western part of Ukraine.

Why deploy their best fighter when there aren't any real targets to shoot down? Ukraine has almost no air force anymore. Their air defense systems are doing a really good job of shooting down most Ukrainian aircraft.
Why send a hawk to kill snails and earthworms? A starling or a sparrow will suffice.
It is expensive to use this jet because the engine has a short lifetime ; So I think they will use it for
important tasks only ; and I think it was already in Ukraine ! And it can be seen and tracked if you know where to search for it

Go read how many hours they have to spend on maintenance to flying time for the F-35. It is crazy and lets not get started on their engines and how run ways have to be ultra clean of crap. This is one area Russia has got right, they get more flying time for the maintenance and they are cheaper to run overall.
That is one thing this war has shown, Russia gets a lot more for their money than the west. And if you think that is good, China makes everyone seem expensive.
The Russian planes have much stronger landing gear and can land on rougher strips. The f-35 are useless and far too expensive to operate, they are too delicate for hard work. The American MIC rips off the taxpayer.
@@johnbodman4504 The F-35 was not even designed for war conditions, but to take large sums of money from the US budget, then to constantly take money, also from the US budget, and then to take money from "allies", in order to take money from allies . Russian doesn't want to repeat history and they are saving the best for that final confrontation.
Its really not a priority getting prestige weapons systems online during a shooting war. Production of whatever can be made serially, for now.
like the F22, it's isnt stealth fighter, their role is different but the incoming su75
sure will take seat and beat f35 in stealth power with it's high speed and supersonic missles
and you cant expect Mr putin play all of his cards without leaving something for the Americans

Wishful thinking. American tech will never be overcome, always been 10 years ahead of Russia and China. We simply sit back, watch the bragging and bring another aerial weapon to bring envy and shame as the USA have done for many years. This video is making Su-57 sound ominous and mysterious, but that's what Russia did with the SU-35 and it was shot down with conventional weapons by Ukraine. Plus, NATO took out the targeting system of that aircraft, studying it and a report made soon. Plus, F-35 aircraft software & hardware can be upgraded continously, not static as this video is implying. Russian software is not exactly the best quality equiptment, as they do not make scientific, home and business computers to show off any true reliability.
The F-22 has an RCS of 0.0001m2, by what delusional Kremlin fever dream is it not a stealth aircraft? The Su-57 meanwhile has an RCS 1000-10000x the size of the F-22's, that's why they're not risking it in Ukraine. It simply isn't survivable against Ukrainian SAM's unlike the F-22 or F-35 which can target these systems long before entering their detection range. Russia is 40 years behind the US, no matter how much vatnik copium you can produce it won't change that fact

I'm more inclined to believe Ukraine because:
1. While they exaggerate and lie at times, it's nowhere near Russia's frequency of dubious reporting
2. The missiles fired by the S-400 are fucking massive, with much larger fragmentation warheads. It would be extraordinarily hard to mistake, say, a 40N6E with an R-37 because of the sheer size difference and the damage it would cause.

*Why to deploy Su-57 if the same task can be carried out with Su-25 Frogfoot?.*
Why does the US feel scared to deploy their F22, F16 in Ukraine? You forgetting and saying one side and not ask yourself why NO Western Jets in Ukraine
WRONG! The SU-57 is design for air-to-air combat and there's nothing to shoot down and that's why we haven't deployed it! We have other jets and helicopters that are used for pounding ground targets and they're doing a damn good job! 🇷🇺
SU57 will be destroyed if it enter Ukraine
because it is not ready yet my friend.... lol it is not even in production.... right now they are just testing it with new tach and improving it as much as possible before mass production
You clearly don’t play much chess. You likely won’t see Su-57s until F-22s are confirmed flying sorties over Ukraine/Crimea.
They may not be in Ukrainian skies, but they have been utilized in the conflict. 😅
Ukraine is a neighbor to Russia so they don't have to cross over the border into Ukrainian airspace when they can launch missiles that have a range of 150 to 300 plus miles and still hit the target. You didn't see that coming... 😅
And you say that they haven't established air superiority but they have actually established air superiority not in the way that the US did during the Iraqi conflict. But that was sheep farmers. When was the last time you heard of the kyvi Ghost?
Why are you scared to send F16(havent seen that video)?
You said “Stealth fighters aren’t designed for dogfights.” And “Super maneuverability are not key for stealth aircraft” After heavily referencing the F22. 🧐🙄😒 Really losing credibility.
OMG, they have 22 of them at this point, and without a overwhelming need, why would they deploy it? PR?
I subbed hoping for balance but this channel is strait propaganda
Russia is opting for a lengthy war; therefore, air dominance or supremacy isn't necessary. The Su-57 has decent stealth but is not on par with the F-22 or F-35. The focus for now is on the Okhotnik UCAV; thus, the felon is taking the back seat, both literally and figuratively.
Besides, these are expensive to replenish, it's the same with F35s which are used vary sparingly.
Not even slightly true. The US won't use their tech either or have you not noticed?
@Desire123ification "Russia is opting for a lengthy war"
Umm...Vladimir Putin wants to win this war as soon as possible. The longer it goes on, the more unpopular it becomes, and the weaker his regime gets.
Remember, this conflict was supposed to be over in a week.
Because they only have 10 of them and they know deep down that they’re just not very good.
jets with exposed engines are not very stealth, they may be fast, but not stealthy
this is not that type of war yet. when it is, then you will see it
Hahahahahha
First, Putin is not scared and second, Putin is not involved in such decisions. The reason the Su-57 in not seen in Ukraine is because it's not needed.
Its a flying BS thats why India pulled the plug on it.
Often, a weapon has its greatest impact when initially employed, before countermeasures can be developed. They need to keep their cards close to the vest until the major conflict starts.
Equipping a fighter jet to be useless in a dogfight is an exercise in futility. Have you all learned nothing from the F4 Phantoms?
What version of CV90 was Russian captured? is it CV90 MK IV or old version?
2o18
The inadequate pilots training could be a major factor
Russian pilots are not inadequate..
It makes zero sense to deploy them. Same reason we wouldn't send our 5th gen platforms. Not needed
By your logic, no one would have bothered to develop aicraft past the one the Wright Brothers used because that was good enough to get a man airborn, and if you wanted to go anywhere, you could have just got on a train.
Of course Western nations would use their 5th gen aircraft if they were in a major war with a determined enemy.
He did deploy them just recently and they shot down seven mig 29‘s very quickly
Same with US that scared to fly the F22 in Syria when Russia deployed SU35 and S400 in Syria......
@@solaceofsnow2140 yes.... You still fly it in syria after make some agreement with Russia about operation area each other to avoid Russian Air Defense System shot down US fighter jet......

@@solaceofsnow2140 oh my god...

You still can see the fighter jet by using your eyes.....
This about how to reduce radar signature..
Come on man......
US grounded all the figther jet both of stealth or non stealth last time when Russia deployed S400 in Syria....
Guarantee that Putin is not 'scared'.
NATO and Germany brought their best of best Leopard tanks into Ukaine frontline and they were turned into kitchen cats, there is even a video of one old Russia tank destroying 5 leopard tanks
B.S
Not five, but two, and five more armored fighting vehicles. It was a battle between that one Russian tank and seven armored fighting vehicles, of which there were only two such tanks.
The only way this SU-57 would be stealth is if this aircraft had Eletronic warfare. That took the radar signal reconfigured the signal and sent it back without this jet's visual data. As I think the F-22 has this capability. I think.
It's been deployed since 2022... What are you talking about?!
Maybe it's because it's not really a stealth and it is vulnerable to any cheap air defence systems.
Maybe is just plain stupid to use your BEST and most modern and expensive aircraft when a soviet SU-24 can do the job
Su35 and su34 doing more than enough
Plus the su57 have the longest air to air kill ever
Its a horrible design tbh, its cross section is big, the 2 seperated engines increase its profile at mid ranges, and its wings are cantankerous, it probably struggles with rolls, and it has no internal missile bays so that hurts stealth even more. Its role should be long distance support, it has no use in a dog fight or near a defense system. Its bad
Russia is going the wrong way with the Su57 and putting way too much sensitive stuff into one fighter. By fearing to use it will damage Russia's reputation just as badly as if it were shot down and the technology stolen by NATO. Russia needs to go in the opposite direction, here.
If Ukraine still has capable air defenses (mostly given by NATO), then Russia should be doing mass conversions of their old mothballed Soviet fighters into remote control drones and flying them en masse into Ukraine to force their air defenses to react. When an AA battery is discovered, THEN you send in your high tech missiles to destroy it.
Once Ukraine's air defenses are trashed, then Russia can establish air superiority over Ukrainian airspace. That means big bombers, like the Tu-95, can drop thousands of cheap gravity bombs over all military facilities. Also destroy roads, railroads, and airports that can be used by NATO for transporting stuff to the criminal Kosher regime in Kiev.
They used it in Syria and Ukraine. US and West can't detect it. That is why they can't say anything about it. All they can do is make a propaganda that it is bad. But if you watch how they are paranoid seeing only 2 of this jet in Syrian base says a lot. They're using it. They can't just detect it. No wonder Russia succeed on creating a no-fly zone in Syria.
Scared??? That's a western point of view. I'm British but I'm fully aware of the technical abilities of this aircraft.
More importantly where this conflict is concerned. Russia has total air superiority so why risk the most expensive aircraft? In any case the Russians don't have to leave Russian airspace, they have the longest ranged missiles on the planet. Either air to air or air to ground. Pretty stupid title for your video. Yours usually very good.
@DavyRo Its capabilities are so impressive that Russia is on the DEFENSIVE, and has failed to win this war LONG after it was supposed to be over.
"We will take Kyiv in 3 days" while 500 days later there are explosions in Moscow with their impenetrable air defense.
I think you made an unnecessary long video to repeat ad nauseam the same concept: Russia's main concern is avoiding to have the plane grounded and therefore reverse-engineered.
Why must it be on the battle field anyway.. When der no competition...
India dropped all interest in this aircraft once they saw how it performed.
HAHAHA YEAH YOU ARE 'CLOSE TO THE TRUTH'. REALLY VERY NEARLY THAT IS'.
The SU-57 is either:
- not build in sufficient quantities.
- not enough pilots/sufficiently trained pilots.
- it's only good on paper, and not in real life.
Or all these reasons combined.
or none 😘

I'd like to remind you how the f35 cracked after a few flights, as well as lots of accidents related to its hover capabilities. These are the best multi-role aircraft in the world, mind you.
It is best not to speculate on things you have limited information on.
@@far_centrist Almost a 1000 F-35's have been build so far and delivered to various countries. And of course they are not flawless jets. But those F-35's are actually flying and are ready for combat.
I don't think the USAF would doubt a second to fight in a war.
@@infrared909 the su57 not only ready for combat, it has been used in combat. If you're referring to f35 use, it does the exact same thing which is firing long range missiles by israeli forces into syria from inside it's own territory.
I doubt rus would hold back the jet either in a peer conflict against an opponent like nato or the US, they are holding it back to prevent western radars from capturing it's radar signatures, incorporate them into it's ai- assisted radar database, etc. Same reason why f35 didn't fly directly into combat zone, to mantain the element of surprise should a direct combat between superpowers broke out. Ukr is hardly worth using su57 on other than test flight.
What really bothers me is how several major accidents of f35 are supposed to be "not flawless jet" excuses, but a few anecdotal, speculative reasoning on why su57 hasn't been used the way you want them to, is supposed to be "proof" of it's "ineffectiveness"
Your title presumes it hasn't. It has.
why would he deploy a fighter jet when ukraine doesnt have any aircraft?

Simple answer, both Russia and the US are holding back on their state the art equiptment for the "End Game" between the Russia and the US, mano a mano conventional warfare involving armies, navies, airforce, cyber and space technologies, nuclear and thermonuclear hypersonic missiles, warfare never been seen before since WW2 but deadlier. It will be like Thanos clicking his fingers.
Indeed...
Yes, brilliant move to have almost 250K casualties and 2000+ lost tanks instead.
And if it goes to a nuclear war, there was no point in saving anything up to that point.
@@recoil53those are ukriane casualties. Probably higher though, in the 300k to 400k range
@@TonyFontaine1988 No, definitely Russian. All Western sources have Russian deaths and casualties over 200K.
Even Wagner admits to 60K deaths and injuries for Bakhmut alone.
I don't think this will happen unless US rulers will totally gone insane unable to win a proxy war with Russia and decides to engage direct total war. But they saying that their main enemy is China and it means that main fight in WW3 will be US vs China. But Russia and China are strategic allies and can't allow a big defeat of each other. US can't fight against 2 strong enemies at same time so i think now it is a very low possibility of WW3 in near future.
America owes $31 trillion around the world and this is the true stealth debtor ever exist😂
I wonder why the USA sending the F16, instead of the F22 🤔 Oh wait, the F16 is yet to be send
Take out 10 F22s with a single missile??? LOL! You just lost me there buddy!!
It actually can down 12 of them with a single missile! It is also completely invisible. You can't see it! Its not really 5th generation, but more like 7th generation of airplane many decades Infront of US. The real reason, why Russia is not using it, is because the war would be over too quickly.
I was being sarcastic of course. I have to emphasize that just in case, because Ive seen comments way more ludicrous here, that were serious.
The SU-57 is a 4.5 generation fighter at best. 😆
Came from a western keyboard warrior living in her mother basement.
says a loser on youtube pretending to be an expert with barely a high school of education .
There's no "advanced technology" on that thing that isn't already known and deployed better on western made jets. They don't want to deploy it because of the bad PR if (and when) one gets downed.
🤣
True. That’s the only reason. They have to have something to hold back and claim it to be some kind of super weapon, if that were true they’d prove it and deploy it lol
It got the longest air to air kill in history at 220km destroying su27 with r37m missiles
Why would anyone use a grenade launcher to kill mosquitos? They haven't used the SU-57 because there is no need to.
The SU57 is not that Stealth like they say. The F22 can see it first and shoot it down and the SU57 won’t even know what happened or where the missile came from. Just claiming that the SU57 can shoot down 10 f22s with a single missile tells you everything we need to know😂😂😂..
You do know that the F-35 can be seen on Radar too?
Perhaps the first reason that the SU-57 has not been used in Ukraine is because it is not a real 5th generation combat aircraft.
Are you serious about the SU-57 being capable of neutralizing 10 Raptors 😂 When you say that Russia is concerned about reputational damage I agree, they are afraid that the world will see it's lack of capability if it were used in actual combat.
The SU-57 is about where the Raptor program was in the early 1990s.
If the SU-57 was a real 5th generation aircraft then it would have been used to eliminate Ukrainian air defenses and establish air superiority.
2D vs 3D thrust vectoring😂😂😂
Russia don't use Su-57 in Ukraine because it have no sence while Ukrainian AD still make a serious threat to Russian planes. in such circumstances Su-34/Su-35/Su-24/Su-30 will do the same job because their capabilities will be very limited.
@@PeterLamin-bw5rs, what good is 3D thrust vectoring if you can't see your opponent?
@@morfeicheg, you have made my point for me. 👏 👏 👏
If the SU-57 was a real 5th generation aircraft then it would be able to penetrate dense AD airspace to eliminate these threats so that the conventional airframes that you listed could maintain air superiority over Ukraine. Russian military leaders are well aware of the limitations of the SU-57's LO capabilities and determined that it would not survive in an environment defended by 1960s-1980s vintage Soviet Air Defense systems.
@@toddbrackett4277 lol, how u suppose to penetrate AD and neutralise it if you even dont know where is enemy AD systems. You probably don't know anything about AD tactics used in this war. AD systems don't always active, because both sides has Anti radar missiles. So the longer radar is active the more chances to catch anti radar missile. Ukrainian radars switching on for only short period of time, when some important targets appears. Also penetrating AD i suppose means fly through frontline. I don't think any sane pilot will do it in war like this. In this case you will fly at very low altitude above enemy infantry and some of them will try to shoot at you with manpads and also some AD system can appear anywhere end destroy you. It's too dangerous. Also it's absolutely meaningless to use fighter jets to penetrate enemy AD, it's easier to do this with missiles or drones. Jet anyway will engage AD system with a missile so why launch aircraft which will launch missile if you can launch only missile or drone and have zero risk for pilots or planes. May be it is some US tactic to penetrate AD with stealth jets. But in Russian tactic the main purpose of fighter jets including stealth jets is to obtain air superiority or simply don't let enemy aircrafts to fly in the air and AD should be destroyed by missiles or drones.
Su-57 is the worlds first and only 5th generation cardboard airplane.
