The Hallé and The Hallé Youth Orchestra - Tchaikovsky: Swan Lake

December 2023 saw Euan Shield’s, the winner of the Siemens Hallé International Conductors competition, take to the podium for the first time as Director of The Hallé Youth Orchestra.
A month later saw the Youth Orchestra combine forces with the Hallé for a concert showcasing the experience of the Hallé, the talent of the Youth Orchestra and the musicianship of both.
Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake is one of the most loved of all the classical ballets, thanks to the composer’s indisputably brilliant music which truly brings the story to life.

The Hallé presents a season of Manchester concerts packed with stunning music, stellar artists, world premieres and exciting new collaborations, designed to surprise and delight. From September 2023 to June 2024, alongside more traditional concerts, there will also be some new initiatives including hour-long Rush Hour concerts, a series of unique collaborations and concerts for all the family.
