- Xenic 10 is a new lightweight touringbindning from Swiss company of Fritschi. Din scale is from 5-10, weight 280 g per unit excluding brake (with brake it is 325 grams), it comes with brakes in the width of 85, 95 and 105 mm.

They missed the most desirable feature: the ability to release the heel pins with a simple push of the ski pole. The transition from downhill to walk is a major pain without this feature, requiring releasing the toe, stepping out of the binding, bending over, turning the heel, stepping back into the toe. The Vipec can release the heel pins with a push of the pole. That should be a feature of this binding, too.
thx for the video. the clearly want to compete with the marker alpinist, but the alpinist is at about 240€ without brakes vs. 330? well thats a tough statement. btw. the binding seems pretty nice, but i do not understand why they have no option for a second climbind aid.
Only, the Alpinist's toepiece absolutely sucks donkey dick compared to this.
The ease of stepping into this compared to the frustrations of the alpinist are worth the extra 90 euros alone.. This is more competetive with the TLT speed than the mediocre alpinist in my opinion.
Couple of good ideas here (especially re. the toe unit), but lots and lots of plastic (Too much for my liking).
How else do you think they can break the 300g barrier.
It's not for hardcore shredding downhill, it's for long tours, fast ascents, and perhaps even racing.

This is a little painful - two people who’s first language isn’t English, doing a relatively technical interview in English.
They did pretty well.
And because it's technical, the result is much better than an interview done by two people whose first language is English but who have no idea about the technical part. Great explanation, clear and to the point. BTW, English isn't your first language either, right?
Most of the viewers don't have English as first language either...
That’s “whose first language”, not “who’s” which is short for who is or who has.
Well, I respect your comment but I strongly disagreed. Not matter what is your first language. When you know that you are going to be part of a business or product presentation nothing better to prepare ourselves......like any other situation, study, practice, and be ready. It is very clear that this gentleman wasn't ready for a professional presentation.
